AZ Piano - Brand New Kawaii K500- "It's a grand piano in a box!"

AZ Piano

It felt like a true one-on-one consultative experience in which Jason spent plenty of time demoing different options for us to hear while also providing informative feedback on differences between the models. Further, as a beginner player, Jason also recommended a few good resources to help aid in acceleration of the learning curve via books and local teachers. We ultimately opted for the Kawai KDP120 and are very happy with the purchase in terms of the level of service we received and the sound quality of the piano. AZ Piano prices were also better than any advertised sales online so electing to purchase from AZ Piano felt like a win-win experience. Jason loaded the boxed piano right into the truck for us and setup was a simple process once we got it home. I will be back in the future for any upgrades and would recommend AZ Piano for anyone interested in upgrading their current piano or purchasing their first.

Stilwell Pianos - My Beautiful piano from Stilwell

Stilwell Pianos

One word - exquisite…read more I've been playing my whole life and I'm an actively gigging musician. I grew up with a baby grand in my home and planned to purchase my own instrument when I grew up. That day finally came a few years ago at Stilwell Pianos. Acoustic pianos are incredibly complex analog instruments that are sensitive to changes in temperature, moisture, and numerous other factors. Because of this, it's impossible to pick a piano just by brand and model if you're specific about the action (touch) and intonation (sound). For experienced players, you have to play it to know if it's the one. I went to several stores in town. Most were staffed with pushy sales guys trying to land a Steinway sale using every trick in the book to create urgency and assume the sale. This bullshit doesn't fly with me and ruins the journey. I first visited Stilwell at their old location. Michael introduced himself, inquired what I was looking for, and let me explore on my own. No tactics, no pressure selling, etc. It took probably 4 trips over 6ish months before he had the right inventory for what I wanted. The buying process was straightforward from there and they used Max Piano Moving (best guys in town) for transport. Whether you're a seasoned professional or looking for your child's first piano, can't recommend these guys enough.

Like any used piano, there are always things that are great about the piano and some things that need to be fixed or worked on. Amongst their fantastic selection of serious pianos I have found that they have been very straightforward with the quality of the instruments and what has been done to rebuild/restore on them and at the same time they are honest with you when there are things that need to be fixed or replaced on an instrument before you buy. It's not a common thing to see in this industry and I was very happy to see that kind of honesty. A close friend of mine was looking to purchase a grand piano with Stillwell and I helped her pick one iut, and in doing so I had a hard time picking one specific instrument out of the many great options they had available. Push forward to about six months and I decided to upgrade to a newer Steinway model B and I can honestly say with my knowledge of these instruments that I received a fantastic deal for an instrument that will satisfy my needs for many many years to come. Take your time in looking at any piano you buy and ask any questions you may have and they will answer them and make sure you make a well informed decision on your purchase.

Guitar Gallery - Covered the ding but went nuts with paint. The visible line is layers you can feel. Not sure what he did to expose the veneer.

I left the guitar with Guitar Gallery and the tech took my guitar off site to his own shop to troubleshoot and try to resolve the issue. After a couple weeks I called and was told he was still working on it but should have it finished soon. Finally I called and was told he was bringing it back over to the store and I could pick it up just before they closed. I picked it up and paid $65 for his time and efforts. He said the static was still present but was perhaps slightly less, and that the static could be coming from the plastic cover plates on the back of the guitar and he said he would make me new replacement covers of a different t material to see if that would alleviate the static. He said he would have them done in about a week. I brought the guitar home and discovered the vibrato trem arm was missing. I called the tech's cell the next day and he never answered or returned messages. I called the shop and they said they didn't know anything about the missing trem arm. After many many attempts I eventually gave up and just ordered a new trem arm from an online shop. I never heard from anyone again about the replacement back plate covers or my missing trem arm. I do not recommend taking a guitar to this shop for any repair. I'm out $65 for attempted repairs, and another $25 to replace the misplaced trem arm myself. Signed...Pissed in Peoria
