Jason loaded the boxed piano right into the truck for us and setup was a simple process once we got it home.

Stilwell Pianos - My Beautiful piano from Stilwell

One word - exquisite…read more I've been playing my whole life and I'm an actively gigging musician. I grew up with a baby grand in my home and planned to purchase my own instrument when I grew up. That day finally came a few years ago at Stilwell Pianos. Acoustic pianos are incredibly complex analog instruments that are sensitive to changes in temperature, moisture, and numerous other factors. Because of this, it's impossible to pick a piano just by brand and model if you're specific about the action (touch) and intonation (sound). For experienced players, you have to play it to know if it's the one. I went to several stores in town. Most were staffed with pushy sales guys trying to land a Steinway sale using every trick in the book to create urgency and assume the sale. This bullshit doesn't fly with me and ruins the journey. I first visited Stilwell at their old location. Michael introduced himself, inquired what I was looking for, and let me explore on my own. No tactics, no pressure selling, etc. It took probably 4 trips over 6ish months before he had the right inventory for what I wanted. The buying process was straightforward from there and they used Max Piano Moving (best guys in town) for transport. Whether you're a seasoned professional or looking for your child's first piano, can't recommend these guys enough.

As a classical pianist and an amateur piano technician I have to say that Stilwell pianos is one of…read morethe most honest Piano Stores I've ever worked with. Like any used piano, there are always things that are great about the piano and some things that need to be fixed or worked on. Amongst their fantastic selection of serious pianos I have found that they have been very straightforward with the quality of the instruments and what has been done to rebuild/restore on them and at the same time they are honest with you when there are things that need to be fixed or replaced on an instrument before you buy. It's not a common thing to see in this industry and I was very happy to see that kind of honesty. A close friend of mine was looking to purchase a grand piano with Stillwell and I helped her pick one iut, and in doing so I had a hard time picking one specific instrument out of the many great options they had available. Push forward to about six months and I decided to upgrade to a newer Steinway model B and I can honestly say with my knowledge of these instruments that I received a fantastic deal for an instrument that will satisfy my needs for many many years to come. Take your time in looking at any piano you buy and ask any questions you may have and they will answer them and make sure you make a well informed decision on your purchase.

The place was very spacious and filled with a ton beautiful pianos that are available for sale. We weren't in the market so we didn't check prices. They have a back studio room with a grand piano that is worth over $200k that performers get to use. The recital room is on the smaller size but that is perfect to keep the performances more intimate and less stress for the performers. All in all this was a great location and place for a musical recital.

James was quick to respond and answered all my questions. I had a rough idea of what I was looking for (a Roland digital piano) but with the current supply issues I wasn't sure what would be available and right for me. James' extensive knowledge helped guide me to the perfect piano for me. I placed my order just after Christmas and by the end of the week I had the most beautiful baby grand digital Roland piano in my living room. It looks and sounds just amazing and I truly could not be happier. The piano mover had everything setup and ready to go by the time he left and he also was 5 star. For me and I'm sure many of you reading this, buying a piano is a big investment and something that you expect to enjoy for many years to come. You really can't put yourself in better hands than James and his team at Riverton. They will make sure that you get just the right fit for you and your budget and they stand by their products. They even threw in a free membership to their exclusive Roland owners club that has all kinds of free digital downloads and perks. If you have been thinking of unleashing your inner creativity with a new or used piano, take the leap and do it with confidence that Riverton will guide you to just the right instrument for you with a professional service like no other. I can't speak highly enough about James, his team and his company. Thank you and happy new year to all.
