We've consistently had wonderful food at this restaurant and have enjoyed both the outdoor patio and the interior restaurant. The cheese curds alone are worth paying this restaurant a visit. read more

We took our daughter there to, hopefully, enjoy a lovely brunch. The coffee was delicious and that gave us high hopes for a delicious meal. When the food arrived it was cold, not the slightest bit warm. We will never waste our money here again. read more

I found Steele & Hops here on Yelp for a casual but nice dinner while my family was in town. We absolutely loved it. They have an extensive menu with something for everyone! The staff were super fun and helpful and our food came out quickly. They have a huge bar with an extensive bourbon collection and lots of fun cocktails! All of the food was delicious! My favorite was the Brussels sprouts in a delicious Thai peanut sauce and the whipped feta spread! The burgers were delicious and they had so many fun and different flavor combinations. Parking was super easy and we cannot wait to go back to try the burnt ends (unfortunately they ran out for the night). read more

Went to dinner here last weekend (7/8) and loved it so much we came back this weekend (7/15). We sat on the patio which was amazing ambiance and had Dustin as our waiter last weekend, he was very attentive and on top of everything! We had the shrimp tempura and the ahi tuna bowls with an elote flatbread! Everything was delicious so we needed to come back! This week Phaylen was our waitress inside and she was so friendly and also on top of everything! We ordered the nachos, kill dill flatbread, and goat cheese toast! We can't wait to go back NEXT weekend already!!! Mind blowing menu! I love the options of the chefs specials every day too in addition to the menu! read more

The food is amazing, Emily's Lemon Drop Martini is so good, and it's such a cute neighborhood place.

The food is very tasty and there's a massive list of beers is great.it's a good place for a hamburger, but their fish and chips is good.

This place was amazing. The wait staff was great and very knowledgeable when you asked them about what food items they suggest. I got the BBQ Hash bowl. It was good, portion size was very big. The bowl had country potatoes, grilled jalapeño peppers, brisket, pulled pork, and shoe string friend onions. Topped with a delicious BBQ and cheddar sauce, garnished with green onions. I recommend this dish highly. Restaurant was clean and friendly environment. Go check it out for yourself. read more

Great addition to the NE Mpls/St. Anthony area! A very nice large patio for outdoor seating that where they frequently have live music, which makes for a great dinner and date night vibe. They have a solid drink and food menu as well. It's slightly more expensive than the traditional American food type of restaurant, but we really liked 3/4 items we ordered. The Baked Brie Dip was a great starter, and I followed that up with the Brie Burger which was delicious. We also tried the Smoked Turkey Sandwich as it had good reviews and recommendations, but weren't really impressed with this item. We finished dinner with the Banana Bread Pudding that comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and is a must have if you still have room! Overall great experience, and would recommend getting there while the weather is good to enjoy the patio! read more

This is kind of a difficult review to write because I had 2 totally different experiences. I dined in for dinner one night and although there was a bit of a wait, the service was good and food was delicious. I had the salmon and my husband had the chicken sandwich. Everything was good and I loved the sauce on the salmon. The chicken sandwich had a huge piece of chicken and had the perfect ratio of crispy and juicy. The fries were also really good. I could have ate a whole plate. Because I had such a good experience I ended up ordering food to - go a couple nights later and order cheese curds and the walleye sliders. The curds were ok, but the walleye sliders were completely inedible and went straight into the trash. They were very fishy and gross. And just for the record, I did pick the food up right away so it wasn't like it sat there too long. I hate giving 3 stars but when you have to throw food away I consider that to be pretty bad. I would like to go back and try their brunch, but it's not exactly high on my list. read more

My second time here, and it was great food and excellent service. Honestly, I'm shocked how good the food is here. It's a hidden gem!

I was excited to visit this new restaurant after just hearing the name alone. We love beer & food so this seemed like a must visit. The bar is large & they have many tables as well. They have an extensive beer, cocktail, and good menu. I grabbed the beer battered cheese curds & New Orleans Shrimp Bowl. The curds were solid- nice & cheesy made with Bauhaus Ale & served with a side of smoked ketchup. I didn't love the ketchup, but others definitely might! The New Orleans Shrimp Bowl is made with jumbo shrimp, red jasmine rice, white BBQ, smoked gouda sauce, garlic, red pepper, broccoli. I really liked this dish! It was yummy & a perfect meal! I am looking forward to returning & trying so much more! read more

Wow. This restaurant was incredible! The ambiance is cool, with great/current music playing. The service was quick and understanding: beers from the tap were not very cold, so our waitress ended up giving the table free drink coupons to use in the future. Lastly and certainly not least, the food was CRAVE WORTHY. Our favorite was the Birria Egg Rolls which were unique and soooo delicious. They had unique flatbreads, and the Kill Dill vol 1 was delicious with salami, dill aioli, and pickles. Yum! The Tuna Poke Bowl and fries were so fresh One of our new fave restaurants in the Minneapolis area read more

Rating 3.5 stars New to the neighborhood so we had to check this place out for dinner. Started with the armadillo eggs. They sounded really interesting! Plus it's wrapped in bacon! Overall they were decent. I decided to go with the Korean steak bowl. I really Enjoyed my meal and it was surprisingly filling so I ended up packing half of it for lunch. Loved the mix of fresh vegetables and jasmine rice. My steak was a bit overdone. Two of my friends got burgers. They ordered them medium and they both came out well done. They didn't regret ordering the burgers by any means but they were looking forward to a little more pink. They have great happy hour specials and a huge selection of local craft beer. I was very happy to see that they are fans of supporting our local breweries! Parking lot in front! read more

Service was okay, but the food was fantastic. The patio was very nice and so were the early bird specials during brunch.

Went on a Friday night. Obviously busy, but was really great food and drinks. The decor was really nice inside and wish we could of sat out on their patio but it was raining out! read more

This new joint opened recently up in the NE Twin Cities Metro (St Anthony to be exact) and quite under the radar I might add. You wouldn't know it though cause the place was hoppin'! Their focus is on modern American fare using locally sourced ingredients in a comfortable atmosphere. There's quite the eclectic menu and an impressive list of spirits as well as craft cocktails. I need to mention the not-pictured "No One Drinks Gin" with hendricks gin, st. germaine, muddled kiwi, agave nectar, and tonic. Super refreshing! The aesthetics are great inside and there's a massive, inviting bar housing a hundred backlit liquor bottles. For grub we had our eyes on some of their impressive looking handhelds on Texas toast. What we ordered: Brisket Grilled Cheese ~ house smoked brisket, cheddar, provolone, crispy onion, pickle, and bourbon BBQ on texas toast. **super solid sandwich here. Is it award winning brisket? No. Is it damn good brisket made even better by wrapping it in a blanket of melty cheese? Yes!** Smoked Turkey Sandwich ~ mesquite smoked turkey, aged cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pesto cranberry aioli on Texas toast. **I'd come back for this one for sure. Super thick, flavorful smoked turkey and the pesto cranberry aioli is something I wish they sold by the jar. Also waffle fries are the standard side unless you say otherwise, and I'm Livin' for that! Thanks for having us! read more

Great space and great service! Came with some friends and they hadn't opened up their outdoor patio yet so we were seated inside but they opened up windows which let in a nice summer breeze. The deals they have for happy hour are really good and their menu is extensive. I got the zoodles and they were pretty filling. I normally don't get dessert but the chocolate cake they had was amaaaazing. Great place to come, lots of parking, and minimal wait times. read more

We arrived at the restaurant around 5 PM on a Sunday with our family and found it to be bustling but not overcrowded. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that kids eat for free on Sundays (yay!). Our order consisted of a classic cheeseburger with cheddar and the curry bowl. Both entrees had the perfect amount of seasoning, and we were thoroughly satisfied! I was particularly impressed with the sear and seasoning on the burger. I had it with cheddar and pickles, and it didn't need anything else! The staff was friendly and attentive, especially since our son was having a tough time when we first arrived. Overall, we plan to come back and hope to check out their happy hour as their deals looked solid. It was also exciting to see that they have a charity initiative with a local center for mental health, where certain beer proceeds are donated. read more

I got food poisoning from the mushroom swiss burger. I spent the better part of 2 days vomiting.

All our food was amazing and the service was excellent. Try the goat cheese toast! A great neighborhood hang.

I hate to dock a place on account of service, but it makes a difference. The hostess seemed annoyed that we showed up 5 minutes early to our reservation. It took a while for our server to show up at our table and when he did he mentioned that he had to "catch up" and would be back. I get it and I do appreciate the communication. The beer list was pretty good. I felt like the cocktails and menu in general tried too hard. I settled on the smash burger which was pretty good although the bacon paste wasn't my favorite. The fries were solid. A bit bummed that our appetizer was forgotten by the server who barely offered an apology for forgetting. Overall, middle of the road-not awful but didn't make me want to come back. read more

Amazing food, good service, decent beer menu. We went to dinner at Steele & Hops this weekend with family and had an amazing time on the patio. Abbey was an awesome server, the goat cheese toasts & cheese curds were delicious (although I think there could've been more goat cheese on the toasts) the burnt end app is PHENOMENAL, as were the burger my fiance had, the giant turkey sandwich & the Korean and New Orleans bowls the family had. We had absolutely no complaints & we'll definitely be back. read more

Great food, service, and drinks! Clean and great environment. Definitely recommending to others!

Great place! The bar looks amazing too. Go here for the BBQ. Their Smokey flavors are on point! I think that is their only downside. All the plates were heavy on the umami side and I wished there was some component that wasn't that heavy. Highly recommended for a date night or a night out with the family. read more

We came in on a Thursday evening to try this establishment. We were not disappointed. The Korean tacos appetizer was excellent - well-sized and flavorful. It wasn't filled with lettuce/cabbage but was well-portioned. It was very tasty and something I hadn't expected. Our server was polite and efficient. One I thing that I really hate in restaurants is when the server hovers over you - she was quick but did not hover. She left us be but when we needed something was right there. The beer list is excellent, composed primarily of microbrews. They offered one mass producer of beer - Coor's - but otherwise have an excellent selection of smaller beers. The kolsh I had was a little sweeter than a normal kolsch but still good. My wife's Castle Danger was, of course, an excellent beer. Entrees were excellent as well. Food is reasonably priced and a good value for the money. I definitely would come back read more

The patio is great, especially with adult slushy drinks and various small plates. Brunch is also tasty but only on Sunday!

The service was good, the restaurant itself was clean and spacious but the food wasn't great. My boyfriend and I split the cheese curds that weren't terrible. I got the bang bang shrimp bowl which was fine but not worth the money. My boyfriend got the bbq grilled cheese and the onion crisps were not crunchy on it. read more

First time trying Steele and hops and was very impressed. They had a large array of drink choices with quite a few NA choices. We got the goat cheese toast which was so good! 10/10. We also got the wings, the cheese curds, Birria egg rolls, and their smash burger which was huge. The service was very appreciative as well. I loved the restaurant itself inside. Glad I was finally able to try this place! Went on a Friday night around 9 after finishing up a pottery wine night at Dock 6 Pottery nearby. We were able to find 3 spots at the bar right away. Mark, our bartender was great. Friendly & good recommendations. I tried the Spicy Cauliflower with Avocado Ranch alongside a glass of Pinot Noir and let me tell you... some of the best (if not THE best) fried cauliflower I've tried in the Twin Cities. I always make a point to try it wherever I see it on the menu. Theirs was crrrrispy and packed with flavor, not too spicy. Much more flavor than my friends tofu bowl she ordered, so I'm glad I went with the cauliflower! Cool vibes, classy restaurant & live music. I'll be back! read more
