The reason I always order just drip coffee is so that I don't have to wait in line while everybody gets their Venti mocha Chino's or whatever. This store for some reason is the only Starbucks that takes your name and makes you wait in line - every other one in my experience fills a drip coffee right there at the register. read more

I love Starbucks and normally I'd be all for rating this one exceptionally high because of how often i frequent it, but unfortunately every time I get something to eat from their selection of cakes and baked goods it's wither stale or just not that good. I don't know what happened here but I haven't seen the old manager (Rocio?) in months. This place is now a disaster. Always new clueless people. When I order coffee (just coffee) don't put my drink cup in the special drink line up. Turn around, fill my cup, and hand it to me. What happens is I stand there for 15 minutes while everyone gets their frapacrapos and someone finally says "what are you waiting for"? My regular fricken coffee please. read more

I had just attempted to go to a different Starbucks who had put a sign on their door saying something to the effect that their systems were down and to come back later. This Starbucks instead of doing the same was still welcoming customers and when I went to pay gave me my drink for free (as I said their systems were down.) Starbucks for me is always a last resort in the event that I can't find other coffee or nothing else is open. That being said I've always found the employees in this location to be very personable. The barista handed me a mango dragonfruit without the dragonfruit with no explanation. Instead of saying something right away, I took a couple sips thinking it would be good anyway. It was way too sweet. The candied dragonfruit pieces adds a nice balance to the sweet mango, gives the drink a pretty color, and you can chew it as you sip since they're pretty tasty. Disappointed, I come up to NICELY ask about the missing ingredient and she gruffly informs me they're out--does not even ask if I want a replacement or a different fruit piece added to my drink which is usually offered at other Starbucks locations when something is out of stock and I already paid. I didn't bother to ask for a drink replacement at this point because I'm sure with her attitude she probably would have spat in my drink for "inconveniencing" her despite that I went up to ask when there was no line. I never get mad when places run out of things, it happens, I just like to be informed instead of being given something I did NOT order. If you're craving iced tea or something fruity in this area and don't want to deal with cranky baristas, just go to the boba shop right next door. read more

Super sweet staff, and great attention to detail. My order is never wrong (and I'm a pain in the butt!) and they are always so friendly. I get that most people waiting for their morning coffee are crabby, hence some of the reviews lol. I had the pleasure of meeting Hannah today who was an absolute gem. Customer service is not dead here! My advice to the masses...have a cup at home before heading out for your specialty brew because you need to lighten up. I ordered a 3 shot espresso on ice and when woman was rude and didn't make my drink right when I asked her to reado it because my drink os wrong She was extreme rude and this is a drink I order everyday of the week. Meh. I literally always order an iced coffee venti. You'd think it's not hard to mess up but... This location put so much ice in my coffee that I literally slurped up my venti in a minute. Locations like this make me order my iced coffees without ice. I then go home and refrigerate my coffee so it's not lukewarm. And so, if you're planning on ordering a drink with ice, be sure to either ask for no ice or seriously specify that you want very easy ice.... As in 2 cubes of ice. read more

My friend and I came to this Starbucks to pick up some coffee for our long road trip. We were expecting a strong good quality brew, but ended up with weak watered down milky iced coffee. Don't trust them to pour your creme/sugar (which i normally never do, but we were in a rush), make sure to let them know that you want to self pour everything. I'm very disappointed with the quality, because Starbucks likes to portray themselves with well trained baristas and high quality beans. I will NOT be coming back here, until they hire some new baristas, or train the kids working there now. read more

We've been to all of the Simi Valley Starbucks .... many times. This location is great because it's open the latest (11pm), but the night-time crew doesn't seem as friendly as some of the other nearby Starbucks options. (No saying "hello" or "thank you"?). It's a bit small in terms of seating, but it's your best bet for a Starbucks fix after 10pm. read more

Conveniently located near my sister-in-law and brother-in-law's house in the edgy and hip Simi Valley. Right. Anyway, this isn't an extraordinary Starbucks by any means. Trust me, I've been to way too many Starbucks, from Mobile to Wiesbaden and back to Seattle. They're all pretty much the same. This is a busy one and you stand in line in the morning. We've started going to this location more often as the one nearest home isn't all that any more. The good-employees have been there for awhile, always have a smile and are sincere and make good drinks. The store is huge but oddly shaped and the latest remodel seems to have not improved much. Big minus is now there's only ONE restroom-they took the men's restroom away to make room for a refrigerated unit and it was not a good trade off. There has never been enough seating except on warm days when the patio can be used. Inside seating is hard to find and tables are awkwardly staged. Would love to see this reconfigured-but considering it just got done with the fridge unit, not holding our breath. read more

They made my drink wrong and then argued with me about it. I have ordered the same exact drink for years.... Now they are trying to tell me I ordered Mocha..... So, once one of the employees told him to just remake my drink, he made everyone else's orders before mine, about 6 people, then he decided to ask the other guy, who was doing dishes, if he had remade my order. I had ordered 2 fraps, so as I stood there waiting, my other FRAP "wilted" away. Finally, the guy in the back remade my order. Ridiculous. read more

My favorite Starbucks in Simi! their drinks always taste great. It's also a good place to study cause they keep the temperature acceptable unlike other places where it's freezing at all times. It also gets really busy but you can keep track of the timing if you visit often. read more

I was at Subway for lunch, and I had a free Starbucks coupon I'd gotten months ago. So I decided to use it. I never go to Starbucks. I think their stuff is too expensive normally. I don't want to pay 5.00 for my beverage unless it's alcoholic. Anyhoo, I went in, and looked at the board. It was in some strange language only spoken by "Starbucks people." I held up my coupon, and the nice lady behind the counter said "You can get anything you want." I nodded and said "I'd like a large iced coffee?" the lady took my coupon, asked me something in her strange language, and I stared blankly and nodded. Usually that's what gets me whipped cream and caramel and a chocolate glaze. (Which I personally feel has no business being anywhere near coffee.) This time it didn't seem to mean that, and she reached for a large clear plastic cup. She grabbed her wax pencil and asked me "what would you like in it?" Confused I replied "Uh...Ice? Coffee?" She wrote some weird stuff down on the cup, and then asked me my name, which she also wrote on the cup. Moments later her cohort who was hiding behind the big coffee machine yelled my name and handed me my iced coffee. I stared at it for a moment, checking for whip cream, caramel, or chocolate drizzles. There weren't any. I took the cup and walked back to my car. As I sit in my cube and drink it, it's okay? I still miss my Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee. read more

Came into the Starbucks took them 10 minutes to figure out my order was not done. Ice coffee and heavy cream. I see this consistently now at all Starbucks teenager at the counter seem very busy but accuracy and precision is not what they understand. I generally am a Starbucks freak. I go to all the different locations in town, and in TO. I get a variety of drinks, one of which being a green tea lemonade or a passion tea lemonade. I was informed months ago (by an employee of a different location) that since I am GOLD CARD MEMBER I can get refills for 50 cents! Which, once they swipe the card, they actually refund the 50 cents so it ends up being free. I LOVE this...take advantage as much as I can , of course by following the rule of paying for the first one of the day. I don't cheat and keep the cup until the next day and pretend I bought one earlier. My husband and I both do the free refills and never had a problem...until today! The employee looked at me like I had 3 heads when I asked for a refill of my green tea lemonade. He said the refills only applied to straight green tea, not the lemonade. I was dumbfounded and embarrassed (he made me feel like I was trying to break the rules). I explained to him that it was an employee who told me I could do this, and that I've done it a MILLION times, and my husband also does it and he was the only one who has told me no. His reply was "well maybe your husband gets hooked up." A girl employee then joined the conversation and says "have you gotten the refill at this location before?" I told her I couldn't specifically say, because I do it at many locations all the time. I should have asked, why does that matter? Don't you all do it?? Then the guy chimed in again and said VERY rudely "Its just a store policy that we are following." The way he said it was demeaning and rude. If he's right, and its a policy, by all means, I'm not trying to get something free that I shouldn't have...but when I've done it a bunch of times and an employee is the one who told me about it, don't be so rude and embarrass me!! Plus, I have the gold card, so clearly I frequent starbucks and I spend money there. Can't you give me the darn free refill?? Starbucks makes billions of dollars, I already overpaid the $4 for the first tea in the first place, and this place refused what I know to be a legit free refill deal. If not, then ALL the other locations are doing it wrong. I've never had anything but great experiences at Starbucks, its a shame that a few bucks caused a loyal customer to be so angry, and to write this review. Ordered a Trenta iced coffee on a relatively slow evening. I didn't have to wait to order and the barista had my drink ready as soon as I made my way to the pickup counter. I thought the quick service was awesome. That was until I picked up my cup and noticed that it was drenched in coffee. I didn't want to be "that girl" so I made my way to the condiments bar to grab some napkins and simply wiped my cup myself. I noticed after using 2 napkins that my cup was still wet for some reason. Upon further inspection I noticed that my cup was leaking and took it back to the pickup counter to alert the barista who made my drink. He proceeded to tell me that this was the last trenta cup in the whole store and it happened to be leaking. He then handed me a venti cup and had me pour my trenta drink into the smaller cup and didn't offer me a lid. He offered to give me a tall cup to pour the rest of my drink in to. I declined as my trenta drink didn't even fill the venti cup he provided since most of my drink dripped out. I understand it is not his fault that my cup happened to be leaking but he didn't exactly seem apologetic either. He just laughed it off and didn't offer to top off my now grande sized drink. I love paying for a trenta and going home with a grande! The next time I want to overpay for my drink I'll make sure to stop by at this particular location! read more

stopped in after a movie to get my favorite drink, its on the secret menu and called "purple" I usually go to the one on first st because it's close..I waited in a line to the back door and ordered my drink and was told they don't have a purple drink..I had on my phone what's in the purple drink, and as told they don't do "secret menu drinks" are you kidding me!!!! will not go near this one again!!! what ever happened to customer service? their are 3 starbucks close to me and they ALL knew how to make it!! read more

The service here is wonderful! The drinks are always spot on! I love this place. Lots of tables, close to other food, and near a theater. The staff stand out: Tammy, Chuck, and the new manager Rocio seems to be doing great fitting in. read more
