We had a group come in and one of us got a scoop of ice cream that smelled and tasted rancid. It had clearly gone bad. It was a flavor We have gotten before, so the person brought it up and told them. The woman working at the counter did not believe her, so our family members said "go over there and try it" and the worker said "I'm not going to try it, thats just the way that flavor tastes". I got up and said "We aren't trying to cause a problem, I've had this flavor before and I'm telling you this ice cream has gone bad, there is something wrong with it". The worker said she'd go call the manager and was all huffy about it. It was ONE scoop of ice cream, I mean come on. It was a 70 year old woman do you really think she's trying to scam you over 1 scoop of ice cream? So the worker comes back and says "my manager said we will give you a kids scoop of something else instead"....ummm we paid for a regular scoop. She said "my manager said we will not exchange it for a full scoop you can only get a kids scoop". I'm sorry but as a former manager at food service establishments, you just don't do this! Its a couple ounces difference, you're gonna be that stingy and rip off your customers? We're not coming back, and I'm telling everyone I know not to go there. I walked into this place at 9:35 p.m. mind you the front door says that they close at 10:00 All of their online listings say they close at 10:00PM. The sign on the front says open and the door is unlocked. As I stepped inside the young man greeted me and said welcome but the girl told me that they were closed? So I said well your sign says open and she tells me "We can't change that I'm sorry we close at 9:30". To me this looks like an employee that just wants to go home early and doesn't care about servicing the customer. And then to lie and say they close at 9:30 for cleaning and she's sorry she can't help me is completely unacceptable. I don't understand where customer service has gone these days but there is no way that I would have done something like that. Don't recommend at all. I love B&R ice cream, the service changes constantly as there always new associates so it's a hit and a miss, standard creamery they offer samples and the have low fat and low sugar options. Every time we go for pizza next-door we always end up coming to Baskin-Robbins for ice cream after dinner. The kids that work there are all fantastic. They are polite, helpful, and treat our kids with respect as well. They give samples and even come around the counter to give the kids their ice cream, which is something that doesn't happen anywhere else anymore. NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: Please change your credit card processing system to allow us to tip these kids. The only option for a tip is a little cash jar and nobody carries cash anymore. Tips would be a valuable for these folks working at the store. read more

I haven't been to one of these in awhile. It's conveniently next door to Chi Chi's and after dinner, my wife wanted ice cream for dessert. The place was clean, staff was efficient, and the ice cream was good. I tried a seasonal flavor, I assume, since it was called Tax Crunch. It's Kona Coffee ice cream blended with crackling chocolate and rice crunchy pieces, very yummy. I didn't count if there were actually 31 flavors but they offer a lot more than just ice cream. They also have soft serve, sundaes, shakes, floats, and ice cream cakes. Unfortunately, the price for a scoop of ice cream ain't what it used to be. Remember Thrifty ice cream??? Does Rite-Aid still serve ice cream? I have been to this place a total of 5 times and three of them have left me so pissed off (eloquent I know) that I've decided to drive down the road when this is literally in my back yard. First time I bought $35 in product and they wouldn't let me pay with a $50 because ITS THE RULES YOU KNOW! I thought they would make the exception since it was a larger Purchase but MY BAD. Then there were the two times I went in for the prepackaged and they didn't have it and they said their "shipment was late" and both times two different employees never offered to hand pack them and when I asked they tried to talk me out of it. The one down the street on sycamore...always has plenty and never makes excuses for actually working! With the sudden boom of froyo and gelato shops over that past few years, ice cream shops like Baskin-Robbins have almost become an afterthought in my book. Still ice cream will always rule the world and I'll usually take it over froyo any day (unless my waist line has anything say about it). It has been quite sometime since I stepped into a Baskin-Robbins but the BOGO - 2 scoop sundae deal on Wednesdays was like baiting the hook for this fish. Small store + employees who look like they'd rather be someplace else + decent ice cream = pretty standard BR31 experience. If the BOGO wasn't available I doubt I would be back to BR31 anytime soon. Not that I don't like ice cream it's just that if I'm going to have ice cream I want the ice cream (or ice cream experience) to really knock my socks off (IE. Coolhaus or Milk). My calorie intake is just too precious to me for to use it on an "A-OK" ice cream experience. read more

I LOVE chocolate peanut butter ice cream. I will order it every single time. There is no need to try anything else with the perfect balance of sweet and salty that it is. I feel like such a jerk because I have been here a few times and there is always this one guy working who is THE BEST. I always forget to grab his name! He has provided the best customer service I have had in a while. Super friendly, attentive, funny and is constantly making it fun while working. We had the best customer service on April 29th with this 31 Flavors! Because of covid -19 , they were only taking online orders, which they needed 24 hrs to fulfill, or you could walk in and see what was in their freezer . I needed a birthday cake that day & within an hour! I called , and Tyler asked me what flavor cake, what flavor ice cream, what do I want for decorations etc. He said "I'll put it together for you in one hour "! And he did! So I'm not sure why the 2 star reviews but I had a pleasant visit. I rarely get ice cream but in 88 degree weather you can't help but want ice cream. We came in and the place was empty. No one at the counter. It was really clean from first glance. A worker soon came out after we browsed flavors. He wasn't super friendly but he wasn't rude either. We ordered a banana split. The only banana split I can compare to is of Ghiradelli in Hollywood. The difference here is that we can pick the toppings, ice cream, etc. Plus half the price. The overall place is nice. I have gone in on multiple occasions. First time I didn't think much of it but as I kept going in I noticed the scoops were not normal sized(smaller). I asked the kind employee why the scoops seemed smaller these days and well long story short, he(the employee) told me that their manager had instructed them to give smaller scoops. Ethically, I think this is wrong, and will cost them customers in the future.
