Recently, we had Sweet Granddaughter with us and were taking her back to her home after a theater performance in Moorpark and dinner nearby. We had skipped dessert with the meal, so hit the drive-thru for beverages and sweet treats. SG ordered a Pink Drink and a cake pop. Dear Hubby and I got a hot mocha and a chocolate chip cookie to share a it was a cold evening. The staff was welcoming and efficient about getting our order together. The beverage hit the spot. I was heading to my friend's house and noticed this Starbucks was right off the fwy and in the direction I was going. I pulled right in, lots of parking and this place also has a drive thru. It was too long of a wait so I walked inside, no line and my drink came out right away. All the baristas were friendly, the sweetest girls working that day too. Ordered a grande drink with "light ice" and somehow still ended up with a cup half full of ice. After a few sips, the drink was basically gone. Apparently at this location, "light ice" means "same amount of ice but we call it light." When I brought it back, the employee argued with me about how one scoop automatically counts as light ice. Interesting logic, so I guess a tall drink with one scoop would just become an iced cup with a splash of coffee? To be fair, they did remake the drink, but the remake tasted completely off, like something was missing from it. At that point I honestly just gave up. This location mess up orders pretty often, and the attitude when customers bring up issues makes the experience even worse. WILL NOT GO BACK TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN!!! read more

I was shocked to see that this location only had a 3 star rating. NOT TRUE! This is in my top 3 locations.. and I visit Starbucks like I have stock in the company... oh wait, I do, but that's beside the point, haha. The staff is friendly EVERY SINGLE TIME. My drinks are accurate AND beautifully made EVERY SINGLE TIME. Today was no exception. Megan hit it out of the park with my custom birthday drink. My spin on the horchata oatmilk shaken espresso. Nonfat milk instead of oatmilk. Venti size in a Trenta cup (even on request.. using Trenta is a no-no, but she said just this once, so thank you), top it off w/ added extra horchata cream cold foam...yum!). I started working in Simi a few days a week. I had a little break and decided to get an iced tea. I walked in and first used the restroom. I was thankful that they didn't have a keypad locked door like most places in Oxnard do however the toilets water flushing amount needs to be adjusted. There isn't enough water to fully flush the toilet. And even with a 2nd flush my toilet set cover still had not flushed down. I ordered just in unsweetened passion tango iced tea. It was also 50% off so I only paid $2.12 for a venti. There was a small group of people waiting for their drinks before me so it probably took about 5 minutes until my drink was ready. Going through Drive Thru. Ordered a venti ice coffee. At the window the happy girl holds out the handheld and says $11.95. I questioned the price. Her response was "well you ordered a venti." I paid asked for a straw and the receipt. Just gave me the straw. I asked again for the receipt. She added herself a $5 tip! I went in the store they refuse to give me my $5 cash back. The super stated to call my bank and deal with it that way. One kid gave two $4 gift cards. I called coroporate twice and escalated the call. They said the district mgr would call but of course never did! Suggest to all patrons, get your receipts! They are picking your pocket like thieves! read more

It is actually very nice to have this brand new Starbucks location opened within a mile from my home. It is in a very convenient spot to get in and out of, and the service is always professional and fairly efficient. The quality of the coffee is standard to all Starbucks, but locations vary in customer service, significantly. The dining area is small, but adequate for some people to come in and meet and or enjoy a quick meal and coffee. I often see people working on the computers; so there's that. read more

A few things about this review. I've been here a couple of times at different times in the morning. I've tried drive thru, multiple mobile order experience and walk in. The time that made me have enough was when I waited close to 30 minutes for my breakfast sandwich ( which was really cold) and a cold brew drink that was suppose to be a 5-7 minute, 10 minute at most mobile order pick up. Other times I've order the dragon fruit drink about 4 times (different occasions) and it taste like water, no flavor. Unless you plan on changing, how expedited things are and of Starbucks quality I don't plan on going back. I really wanted to like this Starbucks but it's been so many bad experiences going inside I could only see myself doing drive through. I'm the only person inside who is ordering a simple Matcha Lemonade. With three baristas there behind the counter they are only having one girl slowly make each drink. They are working on every mobile order under the Sun and fails to turn around to look at mine. After 10 minutes I ask if mine is coming up. This new barista gives me a "whatever" look and makes my venti drink horribly. She never shook the mixer so all the powder is sitting at the bottom and then only fills it up 3/4 of the way and hands it to me with no "I'm so sorry for the wait, etc" Go through the drive through, at least you'll get your simple drink in under 20 minutes and it will be made correctly. read more

This is by far the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. We went to Starbucks for breakfast sandwiches and egg bites and cake pops. The next morning we were all sick with food poisoning. I threw up and my sons had fevers and diarrhea. I will never go back to any Starbucks. Their quality is poor and who knows if that food was expired etc. poor customer service and poor quality. I have been to this Starbucks several times and each time there has been an issue. Today I went to two Starbucks since the first on Cochran was out of everything. All I wanted was a medicine ball tea .. and some fun drinks for my family .. they of course we out of the tea as well and could only offer chai. So I ordered 3 hot grandpa drinks , drove home and this is what was in the cups when I got home . Not one was filled up to the top. Or even close .. 5.95 for a grande hot vanilla latte and this is what it looked like . Sad that they can't even fill up the cup for that much money . It is 11:35 pm and the new Starbucks off of Stearns St and 118 is allowing a delivery truck to run its generator this time of night. There is a residential house right next door. I am down a couple of houses. You are an awful business and ruining the neighborhood! It's for sell and poor reviews from neighbors probably won't help the sale of this Starbucks! You are being poor neighbors when it comes to sound at night when people are trying to sleep! The truck has QCD printed on its side and is running its generator at now 11:45 PM! I feel bad writing this but I've gone to this location a handful of times and every time I've gone they've made a drink incorrectly, or it takes a really long time to be made. I feel like I've gotten faster service in the drive through then ordering inside. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt when I go because they are newer but it just happens every time. It's just a shame because they're the closest to me. The partners there are really nice so I feel bad but just please make the drinks right. Like today we ordered a shaken espresso and when we got it it wasn't shaken at all. The cup was all brown from the espresso on the bottom and the top half was all white from the milk. Like it was a high contrast. Shaken is in the name of the drink so I don't get why it wasn't shaken. Or if I ask for extra caramel it's always only at the very bottom and none on the sides or on top. Its just odd things like that. If I'm in a rush I never go to this one because I know it won't be a fast experience. I gave three stars because I used to be a long time partner at a Starbucks before the pandemic so I know how it is to work there and how stressful it can be but just please take some time to better train on the drinks. read more

They're always out of the most basic items (how are you out of caramel sauce or breakfast croissants?) the parking lot is the worst though!!! Small and packed, if you're parking in a stall, and the drive through line is long, you're stuck, and with as slow as this location is, good luck. I'm sure this Starbucks will strive and be the best it can, especially since it's off the freeway and it'll get heavy traffic. My first experience so far at this Starbucks was decent, waited 10 mins, was told multiple times what I was waiting for, of course it was my drinks. I could tell they were training there workers on what to do and all that, and so it's still a work in progress. Plus you have the construction crew on the parking lot still touching up. Regardless of all that, the building itself looks very nice, my drinks were still delicious. I'll be updating my review once they got things handled. read more
