The smell of coffee in the air, the catching up conversations, the chills as you take that first drink. Love this place and the employees all seem to love their jobs, Emily took our order and was super sweet and very helpful when navigating the many of delicious optionsDonte is super sweet and stated he loves his job!!!! He's quick and fast and our drinks came out perfect. We will be back for more... I'm hooked.
I just wanted to take a moment to recognize Simeon! He has been one of the most welcoming and genuinely kind people I've encountered at Makenna. Every time I come in, he has such a positive energy and a smile that truly makes the whole room feel brighter. I've been having a couple of hard days lately, and even though he probably didn't realize it, his kindness and the way he treated me genuinely made my day better. It's rare to come across someone whose energy can make such a difference just by being themselves. Simeon is truly an amazing person and such a great reflection of the shop. Thank you, Simeon, for being so kind and welcoming!!
Ordered the Strawberry Hibiscus tea. When I ordered, I asked if it was sweet (I wanted a 0 sugar drink). The woman looked at the syatem and said, there's no sugar - and the sticker says "make sugar free". When I tasted it, it was ALL sugar. I told the staff and the lady who took my order and they said there's no sugar but a strawberry syrup.....?!?!? They didn't offer a refund or a remake... . Could only drink 1/3 before massive sugar buzz. Poor customer service.
Just tried this place for the first time today and I have so many good things to say! I'll start with the ambiance- the music the energy the staff the decor, everything was just the perfect vibe and put me in the greatest mood for the entire day! Staff was wonderful. Everybody was so kind and like I mentioned earlier, had great energy. They all seemed like they were genuinely enjoying themselves working there, which was so nice to see. I got the lavender honey iced latte for myself and then I got the orange dream frozen drink for my kids as well as two cake pops. Everything was incredible. Truly one of the best iced lattes I've ever had, the flavors were so on point. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!
I enjoyed this place! It wasn't too busy when I went, around 7:30am on a Monday. Everything was already ready when I got there to pick it up. The inside is really cute! I'll try eating there next time. I didn't interact with the staff, I just grabbed my order and walked out. I got the Kiss Me iced latte and it was really yummy! I got it half sweet and it was still a little sweet for me, but super flavorful. I got my son the caramel latte and he enjoyed it a lot. The everything bagel breakfast sandwich was pretty good. I wasn't expecting to see avocado. I probably won't order it again just because it was a little bland in flavor. It could use some hot sauce. Overall, I'll come back here when I'm in the area and try some other menu items.
This is an awesome Makenna Koffee location. The staff is friendly and the drinks are always on point. Even when there's a long line they get your drink out to you in less than 10 minutes. That being said, I still recommend ordering ahead since they're almost always busy. Last time I came by I tried Santa's Cookie. It was decent for a seasonal drink, but I wouldn't get it again because there's better options. I'm still making my way through their menu, but I have a general idea of what I like. Some of my favorites are the Cookie Butter Latte, the Hawaiian Honey, and the Coco Cabana. Can't wait to come back!
Gimme, gimme more! I absolutely loved this coffee shop--from the coffee and breakfast sandwiches to the pastries, decor, merch, and even the staff. Everything was on point! The coffee was PHENOMENAL, and you can really tell how much care goes into what they do. The space is welcoming, the vibe is great, and the team is incredibly friendly. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in Simi Valley. Keep up the amazing work--you're all doing an incredible job!
Tucked away in a really secluded spot, so you'd never stumble upon it by accident, but once you find it, there's plenty of parking, which is a win. Place was pretty busy when we went, always a good sign. I tried the Honey Matcha (staff recommendation) and liked the flavor, but it was sweeter than I'd prefer, totally on me for forgetting to ask for less sweet. My husband got the Mexican mocha and said it was good, but both our drinks had way too much ice. We also ordered sausage and egg croissants. The flavor was good, but the sausage patty was on the small side and it was missing mayo. Still tasted fine, just not quite what we expected. Overall, solid spot with friendly staff and cool vibes, just a few small misses on execution. Would go back and customize my order better next time.
Staying at a hotel within walking distance and discovered this gem! Looks like a local hot spot! Ordered the caramel cold brew... delicious and smooth! Also had a yummy bagel that tasted fresh and warmed! Menu is a little overwhelming when you walk in, but overall a really cute little coffee place! Workers were friendly and working fast!
Wanted something for our long drive home, and wanted anything other than Starbucks lol! Found this on the route home and stopped. It's a super cute shop, definitely gives surf shop vibes. It was pretty packed which to me was a good sign. I got an iced north shore with Maui milk and the hubby got cookie butter with Kona cloud. Both were good but honestly my husbands was out of this world. You get the sweet, creamy, fluffy cool hit and then it's followed by a smooth nutty coffee. We talked about it almost half the ride home lol! Hopefully we can find ourselves in the area again.
Drinks are amazing! Very friendly and welcoming. Chill spot to do homework or just for girl talk with your Koffee. Definitely recommend to this place.
Wow the best breakfast burrito I've ever had! They use the thin flour tortillas so it's filling but not overly. The coffee is also very smooth. There's seating outdoors. Highly recommend.
We ordered a small Coconut Cold Brew and a small Shaken Peppermint, and unfortunately both drinks were way too sweet for our taste. The syrups made them overly thick without the creamy and smooth texture you'd hope for. Service was just okay, but there was plenty of parking and seats, which is a plus. Probably wouldn't go out of our way to return.

Makenna Coffee is seriously such a hidden gem! I first discovered this place completely by accident a while back when one of my girlfriends and I were on our way to go camping. We were craving coffee, searched for the closest coffee shop, and happened to stumble across Makenna Coffee. I remember absolutely falling in love with their coffee and thinking, "I cannot wait until we come back this way so I can get this again!" Unfortunately, I never ended up making it back... until today! We happened to be in the area for an appointment at the Jeep dealership, and when I realized Makenna Coffee was nearby, there was NO WAY I was leaving without stopping. This was only my second time here, and somehow it was just as good as I remembered. Taylor helped me and she was such a sweetheart! I couldn't remember what I had ordered the first time, so she helped me pick out two different drinks to try -- the Sandy Blonde and the Maui Latte. I ordered them half sweet, and they were still a little sweeter than I normally prefer, but honestly, they were amazing nonetheless. I'm usually a black coffee/Americano kind of girl, but every once in a while I get a serious sweet tooth and want something fun and indulgent -- and Makenna Coffee is PERFECT for that. Their coffee is so good, and there's just something about this little spot that I've loved ever since I accidentally discovered it. I only wish I lived closer because I would definitely be here way more often. If you're ever in this area, do yourself a favor and stop at Makenna Coffee. It's one of those little gems you're so happy you found. read more

What a great experience at McKenna Koffee. From the moment we walked in, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The service was quick, which is always appreciated, and everything we ordered was perfect. My cinnamon spice tea was exactly what I needed and absolutely delicious. My daughter loved her Terminator drink and finished it off with a tasty bagel that really hit the spot. We enjoyed it so much that I even ended up buying a hat from the shop to support the business. Amazing drinks, great vibes, and wonderful people. We will definitely be back. read more

OK, me and my wife wanted to try a different coffee shop because we were over Starbucks and we were new to this place. We walked in and was greeted felt very welcoming. The music was amazing, colors all around us it was awesome and the girl at the register named Cali gave us the best warming comforting customer service ever. We went there yesterday to pick up some coffee for our first time we came back there today and the fact that she remembered our names made me super happy please everybody please go see Cali thank you Cali for giving us an amazing customer service. We will be back a third time just because of you and that refresher you made me the starburst was amazing!!!!!. Oh, we got some wristbands too. read more
The coffee here is amazing! I ordered a drink while visiting Simi and was blown away by how great it was! The inside is fun and open, with a bunch of tables and chairs. The staff was great and helpful too! There was, what looked like, a really long wait, but wasn't. The baristas were making the drinks very quickly and efficient. If you're near Makenna Koffee and like coffee, definitely check this place out! read more

Cute little coffee spot in Simi Valley, bunch of young pretty girls working it seemed to be very busy from the amount of people coming out while I was parking my motorcycle. I was greeted immediately and went up to the counter when my turn came up. I told a nice smiling girl I'm just a regular guy and you have such a large menu. What should I get?? She asked me if I like cold brew I said yes, and suggested a chocolate cold brew, with macadamia now whatever it was put on top was fucking amazing. It was some kind of smooth creamy chocolatey goodness it completely covered the cold brew so I drank just it by itself initially The prices are outrageous and they have a cool Hawaiian vibe. I might wake up early for work on Friday just to come and get another one of those. read more

Went to McKenna on Sunday at 12 PM. Boy, jam packed. They had way too many cooks in the kitchen. Don't even think the girls know what drinks they're supposed to make since there were too many of them. Most of them were doing just busy work. I waited 20 mins for my drink. My breakfast sandwich came out fast, but got cold while waiting for my drink. I might try their Tapo Canyon location next time. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop to visit in simi valley!! They have a nice seating area inside, so it is a great place to meet someone for coffee. There are so many unique options to choose from on the menu and their coffee is very high quality. I got the sandy blonde and it was the right amount of strength and creaminess. However, I definitely recommend ordering their drinks half sweet as they tend to be on the sweeter side. read more

Hawaiian owned shop?
Not hawaiian owned but the owners are very close with Hawaii.
What is in the "Maui milk"?
Don't think anyone is going to tell you, but if I had to guess, I'd say a mixture of condensed milk, coconut milk, and whole milk.
Is there good wifi here? Also, is the café good for working or studying (with café noise obviously expected)?
The wifi is decent, but they play the music too loud for casual conversation, much less for working.
Anyone know if it's open again yet?
I went by today and still not reopened. There was a sign on the door that they'll open soon.
