    Starbucks is a guilty pleasure
    Sam B.

I really want to give my neighborhood Starbucks full stars but they can't seem to get it together. Wife's drink; grande Carmel crunch Frappuccino was spot on. My iced coffee again was missing the sweetener. It's part of the recipe and in the mobile order. I'm drinking my unsweetened iced coffee and wish they had made it right. No time to go back and so will just suffer through a $5 drink that isn't right (again). They did remember to shake it but that was to mix the sweetener (which was omitted) so waste of effort. Unhappy Starbucks customer. They were extremely nice and pleasant at the window but I would rather they be curt and get my order right. Still will give full tip because it's COVID but even that makes me unhappy and I would happily provide gratuity if my drink was correct. Grrrrrre

I come to this Starbucks because it is the closest one to the house. My 2 stars does NOT reflect the kindness of the staff, as they are always pleasant and polite, however this is the third time I have come in when their shipments of sandwiches are obsolete. We are going on week 2 of not sandwiches whatsoever. Additionally, I am disappointed with cleanliness. More often than not, there is trash or food debris in the floor, old coffee ringlets in the tables, and two unisex bathrooms which are often sprinkled with... well, you can guess. If you sit at the four padded chairs, I suggest you DON'T look between the cushions

That is not a full cup!

FILL IT UP! TIred of the 2/3 cup of coffee. Price for Starbucks vente no foam latte is almost $5. That's the only drink I ever order from Starbucks. I know what it should look and taste like. My husband surprised me 2 Sundays in a row with a Starbucks latte But both times my cup is only filled to 2" from the top! There's no foam on order so it's not the foam. FILL IT UP! Last time I drove back over there, waited in line and they fixed it. This time I'm just mad! Won't be back to this location. Plano at Parker and Custer. And if this is the new policy for Starbucks, then we're just done PERIOD.

Not all Starbucks are created equal. This one is wonderful! Knowledgeable barista was helpful, got my order correct. The store was clean. Plenty of places to sit.

Just depressing. I wanted to repay the boyfriend for wasting his money.

Drive-Thru: Fast and Friendly. Problem: First you go to Starbucks for the beverages and honestly they should just stick to that or maybe its just this location. Shocked at a company who prides itself on quality can't follow through on all it sells including its food items. I've gotten the Spinach Feta breakfast wrap and had little of the title ingredients. This round I attempted the Roasted Tomato Mozzarella Panini. Well you can see attached photo.

I've gotten 5 bad coffees in a row from this location. Go to Mudleaf. It's a 2 minute drive to the west and they have amazing coffee.

Quite often I've run into a "pay it forward"chain in the drive thru where the car in front paid for my drink.

The staff was really kind and helped me navigate a few syrup options since I am dairy free. I finally settled on a large almond milk late with two sugar in the raw. I quickly realized this is not an overly digitized coffee experience, which I like, but it did mean it took a lot longer to make my drink than I anticipated. The kind barista finally gave me my drink and we had to jet out to make football practice. The ambiance was chill. Almost every seat in the place was taken by someone with a laptop so I'm not sure I would come back here with the intent to find a seat. The latte was okay. The espresso tasted a little burnt and was actually quite weak - I wish I had gotten an extra shot. I'm glad I made it back to try Mudleaf, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to try it again.

Located among the shops and bars of historic downtown sits 1418 Coffee, a cute and genuinely great little shop that fits the area perfectly. Inside, the shop is fairly narrow but offers a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived with a friend a little before 11 am on a Sunday, and it was absolutely packed. A biking group was posted up outside, students were inside working on homework, even though most colleges have not started yet, and plenty of other patrons were taking their Sunday mornings easy. Despite having at least 10 to 15 people in front of us, the line moved pretty quickly. My friend who was more of a regular at the shop knew a lot of the staff and had convos with them. It feels like a little community! I ordered the Maple Sausage Croissant sourced from Sugar Loaf Bakery along with a hot Purple Haze latte made with lavender and vanilla syrup. My drink came out fairly quickly, and I thought it was great. It was well balanced and not overly sweet. As for the Maple Sausage Croissant, it was exactly what it sounded like, a maple sausage tucked into a croissant. I initially expected the croissant itself to be maple flavored, similar to a McGriddle, but it was still fresh and enjoyable. They had been keeping them warm in a heater throughout the morning, which definitely helped. I have stopped by 1418 Coffee a few times when visiting Dallas, and I plan to keep returning. They consistently do a great job and fit right into the charm of downtown Plano. RIYL: A warm haven in a beautiful downtown.

We quickly perused the remaining pastries and chose a dark chocolate croissant for me as well as a milk chocolate cannoncino for the kids to share. I added a medium, hot, almond milk latte to the order. The pastries were served in a cute white box, rather than being thrown into a paper bag like other places do. I'm happy to say they stayed intact or the drive home. The croissant was warm and the cannoncino chilled. The croissant was dense, not fluffy or flaky, there was almost a doughiness to it. It was packed with chocolate and I could tell it was dark chocolate. I wasn't a fan of the dense dough and after a few bites I was done. The kids both tried to finish it but said it tasted lemon-y and weren't fans. The kids liked the chocolate and pastry of the cannoncino. At first sip the latte tasted good. Well balanced espresso and almond milk. However, after the foam settled the cup was maybe 3/4 filled and my stomach got really upset within a few minutes of drinking the latte. Not sure if it's the type of almond milk used or if the cup used to steam the almond milk had previously been used for cow's milk, but either way it didn't sit well for me. I'm glad we tried Palmieri and would definitely recommend it to others. It's an out of the way spot that has plenty of indoor seating and decent parking too. The service is friendly and welcoming and there are a lot of drink options and food choices as well.
