Especially when I'm in Plano. If I'm watching a movie in Plano and it's not in English, then I want Dubs. This is a very unique and different kind of place, which basically sells all kinds of nice lemonades. Barbi like several of the flavours - such as the watermelon. We tried a lot of different stuff, and they were the friendliest people imaginable. Honestly I'm not really into American style lemonade anymore because it's a little too sweet, but if I was, this would be my favourite place in Dallas. So I guess I would give it more of a 4-star rating because it's local and its innovative, except that it has some of the friendliest service in Dallas, especially considering they were 5 minutes away from closing and still wanted to give us samples of "Everything Under the Sun" (figuratively). So bearing that in mind, I most definitely have to give them a very handsome 5-star rating. read more

The teas and handcrafted sodas were really good and the price we paid for them was only a little more than what we might have paid for lesser quality tea and soda at a casual fast food place and much cheaper than what we might have paid for similar quality drinks elsewhere. This is such a cute shop! Thanks to yelp suggestions, I stopped by after an appointment in the area. There were several different tea and lemonades available and little sample cups to try them. There was a family being assisted by the cashier, and he was really helpful with them; explaining the pretzels and recommendations and being patient with the two teenage daughters. All of the ones I tried were delicious and it was so hard to make a decision! The vanilla mint and cinnamon roll and raspberry green tea were refreshing and unique. Both the berry lemonade and blueberry limeade were so good and not crazy, overwhelmingly sweet, and the latter was my choice. (Sorry to take so many samples, I hate committing!) There are sofas and tables to sit and study or hang out and if I hadn't just eaten, I would've been trying the food, so hopefully for a later review. So this isn't the cheapest tea/water place (at $0.50/gallon for filtered water, you could go to any coin-operated filtered water machine and pay around $0.40) but the owner is super nice and friendly and he spent a lot of time educating us on teas. My hubby is really big into coffee and the owner gave us a free cup since it was 4pm and he didn't anticipate selling anymore coffee for the day - what a great guy! I love it when small business owners offer exceptional service and aren't cheap - I know every penny counts but he understood the value of not being a penny pincher. Also, big shout out to their pretzel dogs. 2 for $5 and they taste pretty yummy. read more

What can I say about Dubs Tea & Water that hasn't already been said about the wheel, the internet, or the cure for polio... Hands down, this is easily one of the best tea shops I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. For the longest time, I've been on a quest looking for an awesome place to find tea and very clean, crisp water. I mean people ask me all the time, "Justin, how hard can it be to find delicious tea and what's wrong with the water you're drinking now?" or "Justin, why do you keep stealing all my girlfriends?" Well... to answer the first question, it is VERY hard to find good tea, water too! How was I supposed to know that drinking water from my neighbors' hoses was frowned upon?! Nevertheless, in hopes of fulfillng my unquenchable desire to succeed in this quest, I walked into this establishment and got myself a gallon of water and a thing of peach tea from the wonderful Dance? Ranch? Vance? Oh, whatever his name was, the flawless-looking owner with the level 99 goatee. He had explained everything there was to know about tea, water, and his shop. And, now comes the exciting part. I hope you're still reading kids cause this is where it gets nerve-wracking. I was planning on going home shortly after paying for my drinks, but luckily I decided that no, important events in life are meant to be experienced in the moment. But, was it possible? Could anything I drink from this moment forward possibly top my neighbors' hose water? And then, it happened... I took my first sip of that water. No... I experienced that glorious first sip of water and so many things happened to me at the moment; I saw a bright light and went to heaven, where I saw my grandparents blessing this drink; I went back in time to when I was 17 and my wife was giving birth to our 8th child. But even then, none of these things could compare to the taste of this water. As I neared the final sip of both my water and tea, I came to the conclusion that nothing else could bring me this much joy in the form of a beverage.
