On a cold winter night, running for deadline to meet and need a bit of caffeine to get through my work... found this place on my starbucks app says open till 10pm. This night, I met the most friendly, accomdating and best looking servers, managers, and Coffee barista. One of the cute girl who looks like the boss lady, she was very nice and kind even tho I didn't know...drive through is open till 10pm but the lobby closes at 930pm. She allowed me to finish up my work-in progress, kindly reminded me they needed to close but respectful let me know. One of guys here whos got a shave like Denzel Washington and a mini-me of "theRock" kindly reminded me 2nd time that they got to close the lobby. Nobody wants to stay behind pass closing hours, but they both knew how to treat a customer with respect and courtesy, as a business man I can really appreciated that. I love this tucked away starbucks, away from everything else. It's the prime spot to get things done. I've been here multiple times and it's had the right amount of spots and outlets all along the seating area. The wifi is pretty quick as well. Normally I don't feel very motivated to write a review for Starbucks but I was helped out by Katrina who gave me impeccable service. I was pondering on what drink to get since it was late at night and I didn't want to be over caffeinated. I saw that they were featuring a new citrus green tea latte that looked quite appealing. I asked her about her opinion on it and she told me she's never tried it and offered to make me a sample of it, both iced and hot. I really felt like she went out of the way for me, even though she was already busy prior unboxing the shipment that came in. I loved the drink so much, it was hard to choose even then after trying it. The iced one tasted like a citrus minty mojito with a bit of creme but a kick. The hot one reminded me of a warm lemon zesty madeline dipped in green tea. They were both so unique! I'm so grateful to have been able to try both so I didn't get hooked to one. One of my favorite Starbucks in Milpitas and here's why: 1) SUPER friendly people.... Now I may be biased [or unbiased, depending on your point of view] because my brother used to work here.... now he was always kinda mean to me, but everyone else was always super sweet :) Even before they knew that their boss was my brother! My "regular" is kinda complicated [I drink a grande 2 pump white mocha, 1 pump regular mocha, 120 degree, nonfat, with whip, mocha.... if you've never tried it, get one! they're soooooooo good] and they have hardly ever messed it up! The one time they did, I think it was that they made the temperature too hot, just as I was reaching for it, the barista said "oh no, i forgot to make it 120 degrees" and wouldn't let me take the messed up one.... he insisted he fix it. Now that's good customer service! 2) DRIVE THRU! There's a reason I get so much coffee... its because I'm pooped. Which means I don't really want to get out of my car, walk through the freezing cold, and wait in line standing up. This place takes care of that problem! AND they have no problem with my order, EVEN through the drive thru. 3) GREAT HOURS! I'm a season ticket holder for the Warriors and sometimes [okay all the time] when we're on our way home, we need some coffee. This is the only place that is still open on our way home around 10ish. And they're also the only place open at 4:30am when I'm driving down to SoCal. Probably my fave Sbux and I'd be more of a regular if it wasn't also the furthest away from my house. I'm only giving this Starbucks a 3 because I do love their drive-thru, but the ONE time I decide to come in, is when I get the worst experience ever!!! Coming in on a Sunday morning, I felt like the baristas were not as perky like they usually are. I suppose, majority of them had slight hangovers from Saturday night?! Like usual, I order my grande vanilla soy latte to go, and the first sip I take its dripping like crazy!!! Luckily, I wasn't in a rush to go anywhere so I was still posting up in my car. Second sip, still dripping and everywhere on my clothes. I took a couple minutes to figure this out, was it the way I was drinking it? Due to my freshly applied lipstick? ..No. I take a peep into the drink hole, and notice the cup I had was defective and bent and the ridge, making the liquid pour out twice as much, and underneath the lid. Now, imagine....If I were to drive off and take a sip out of my coffee...I would be a VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER. And immediately turn around back to Sbux. But, having to still be in the parkinglot my boyfriend kindly, took my cup and brought it back in. Shortly after, he comes out holding my coffee in a new cup, and 2 rags. A wet one and dry one. SERIOUSLY?! They should've given me a free pastry or something. I've only been to a handful of Starbucks (okay, maybe two handfuls..) and this one is my favorite. Though I've only gone to this one a few times as it's really out of the way, I always have a more pleasant experience with the employees here than the other locations. Thinking about having a green tea latte for the past few days, I decided to stop by here on my way home from Fremont. I could have just gone to the location that was just a couple of minutes from where I was, but my experience here made me want to come to this location instead. Though I find that the area is rather odd, it seems to work. I was warmly welcomed when I came in and my transaction was short and sweet. The guy that served me was pleasant and very cheerful. The barista working had my drink done by the time I had already paid for my latte. This Starbucks staff was so helpful and understanding, I loved it! I orginally bought my iced coffee from another store, and silly me, I poured half and half into it instead of my normal nonfat milk. I thought I'd try to drink it anyway instead of asking for a new one, afterall it was MY mistake. However, I just couldn't do it. I got a few sips in and stopped at the next available Starbucks, (this one). My rating simply concurs with most of the Yelpers on this establishment. Quiet location, very friendly service, always with seating availabilities, I can hang out in here a whole afternoon on any weekends with a book, a laptop or a few friends. I got to work early so I decided to drop by this starbucks for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. The drive-thru was so packed so I walked in to place my order. I couldn't decide on what I wanted to order and needed a minute to look at my options but the girl at the cash register kept asking me what I wanted. So when I was ready to place my order, she was not friendly whatsoever. However, I got my coffee and wrap pretty quick. I've lived near other STARBUCKS that posess Drive-Thrus... one was a wait for an HOUR in line (I kid you not), while the other one was roughly 20 minutes - no apologies for taking so long, either! This one though, surpasses my dismal view of STARBUCKS. I hesitated one morning before work because the last few times I tried a DT... terrible. However, I was pleasantly surprised it only took about fifteen minutes (it WAS 9am on a weekend), and the person on the other end was so friendly! I ordered a Tall that day, but happily upgraded to a Grande the next time; the drink was a Vanilla Rooibos Tea Latte, with soy, and... so yum! I mistakenly ordered my next drink without soy and... not so yum. I've also tried their breakfast sandwiches and they are WAY tasty. Alright though, but for a reason they are redeemable? This place is great having a drive thru, it's so convenient, and it's close to wear I live is great. As some people have mentioned I would rather come here because I don't have to get out of the car. In fact one night I was at McCarthy ranch with my brother in law and wife, he wanted Starbucks but didn't feel like getting out to get it. I told him about this place having a drive thru and he wanted to go here. The staff working the drive thru are always nice and they always have gotten our orders right. I have gone inside a few times, and it is a tad small. I very rarely actually venture inside this Starbucks seeing as it's right off the freeway and has a drive in. But their drive-in is quick, efficient, and incredibly friendly. They don't mind answering questions or making a complicated drink. And they always give me a venti when I ask for a water. Two weeks ago, I did drive thru 10 mins before closing time. after I ordered my drink, the cashier asked if I would like to have a chocolate or strawberry croissant for free. She said it's end of the day and they would throw them out anyway so if I want, it would be on the house. I was kinda in the mood for chocolate croissant so I said sure! I come to this Starbucks damn near every morning and even when they make a mistake, they always make it up. In addition, they have such great customer service that I don't mind the little mistake. This morning, was very different. As I waited for my mobile order at 6:49 and ordered at 6:29. I finally asked where my drink was because it's usually always there. The worker making the drinks walks to the register and asks the man at the register if there was a drink for my name he says yes there was. I was in a hurry to be at work on time and just asked for a refund. When I asked them if I made a mistake in ordering he responded with a "no, but it is 6 o'clock in the morning" like I wasn't already aware of that! That doesn't defeat the fact that you guys were unapologetic for YOUR mistake and that you still need to do your job "that early in the morning." Very friendly staff, and conveniently located for those of use who work in this part of Milpitas -- or for folks who want to grab a cup of coffee w/ a minimal detour off I-880. I'm a regular, and the staff almost invariably remembers my "usual order" and often gets it going before I get my turn at the cash register. The only reason I'm not rating them at 5 stars is that sometimes customers have to wait just a bit too long - something that might be corrected by either adding staff at rush hours, or shuffling duties around. Employees are usually nice and polite, but they do have their moments (as everyone does). Even access off the freeway!
