I made a pit stop here on the way up to Sonoma County at 6:30a and there were people there but service was quick and it was quiet. They also have a couple tables outside. I went to this location after a few months to discover the big change. It is similar to the location near Computer History Museum which feature the same thing. There was always plenty of inside seating. Well it is not the case anymore. Only just big enough for the employees to do their thing. And the customer who decided to enter the store. I normally go to this location on the way to work sometimes but after a recent interaction I don't know if I will be back. I came there with some coworkers and the lady at the window was ridiculously rude yet this isn't the first time. She had us repeat our order multiple times then waited to respond at the drive thru leaving us confused going up to the window. She was very short and just handed us our items saying "it's a lot" and quickly shut the window. My coworker needed some sriracha sauce so we waited by the window until she came back. She came back very irritated and said next time we need to say what we want before driving up to the window & you can order the sauce there not at the window next time and shut the window in our face. I am not sure who this lady is but she is very unpleasant especially in the morning time. I go back to this location because it was convenient but considering this isn't the first bad interaction with her I would strongly suggest avoiding this location as it's not the first time. read more

Service is very slow. So even if you order 20 mins ahead you have to wait. I tried ordering ahead and when I saw only 2 cars were in the drive thru, I went in line thinking that would be faster. Nope. Waited another 20 minutes (for 2 cars) so it all took them almost 45 minutes to make. And there was hardly anyone inside. I'm not sure what takes them so long. When I told the lady at the drive thru I had made a mobile order, she said "next time change your preferences" because it was automatically set for walk in. we always drive past this starbucks and decided to give this location a try on our way home this past weekend. the drinks were horrible and we were SO disappointed. first, the person on the headphones was so confused when we asked for our mobile order. we had to repeat that we were picking up a mobile order 5x!!! what we ordered: - ice espresso with four pumps of pumkin sauce, four shots, extra ice, in a venti cup. 2/10. all the sauce was not mixed, shots were expired and tasted burnt, and the ice was only filled to the middle. - venti strawberry açaí lemonade with light ice, no strawberry inclusions. 1/10. as someone who was a partner for six years, whoever made the drink lazily just poured the açaí base and lemonade directly into the cup (THE BOTTOM OF THE DRINK WAS WARM), did not taste the lemonade, and inclusions were added. we didn't wanna bother with asking them to remake our drinks because after a long day, we were just ready to get home. will not be returning to this location. read more

The coffee is well coffee. It's ok. I ordered plain old coffee on my couple times a year drive from El Cerrito to South San Jose or Sunnyvale. I was surprised to find no indoor seating, just a counter to order walk-ins & drive thru. There is a patio with outside seating, but that is a bit much in wet December or cold January. This location recently closed for renovation. It's since opened back up. Today was my first visit since the changes. No complaints about the quality of the beverage I ordered or the service I received. The two stars are for the fact that Starbucks has struck again: they've gotten rid of all indoor seating. I've noticed this trend throughout the South Bay. Most locations I visit have either had their tables and chairs completely removed or have been renovated (like this location) to do away with communal indoor space altogether. I get that mobile and drive-thru orders likely dominate. But whatever happened to Starbucks as a pleasant third space for getting together with a friend or reading a book? This Starbucks is a bit hidden. It is behind the Chevron and right next to Wayback Burgers. There is a small shared parking lot as well. They have this very strong greasy/oily stench right when you step out of your car, and I am guessing it is from the burger spot next door. Anyway, this is a quiet and small Starbucks with some seating. Bathrooms are a bit different here, it is through a door and down the hall and there are stalls instead of single bathrooms like most locations. My usual drink is the Matcha Frappuccino, which I did not get last time because the smell outside lingers just a bit (barely, but just a tad) and it was not the most appetizing smell. read more

Surprisingly quick turn around time from when I first pulled in, to when I placed my order and to when I drove away with my Caramel Macchiato and Bacon Gouda sandwich. I was very pleased with the fast service. However once I got about halfway through my drink, I realized there was what looked like the corner of a bag of coffee beans. Like an aluminum edge of something sharp. Had I been frequenting this place regularly, I could probably excuse this as a one time occurrence. This is my go to Starbucks spot. They are quick and have great service. Their drive thru line and parking lot is always full so clearly other people feel the same. My go to drink has always been the shaken espresso with no modifications. It's something I get at all Starbucks locations. They also have outdoor and indoor seating. I often see people sit outside working on nice sunny days. The reason why it is missing a star is because even though it's my go to spot, they are not always consistent with my drink. Granted it is probably a different person making it every time. So I usually have to specify how I would like it made. Sometimes my shaken espresso is too sweet, too milky, or too strong. I can usually tell by the color. But because they have such great service, if you let them know they usually are more than happen to adjust to your liking. The one shown in my photo was on the sweeter end. Overall a great location where the staff and service are great and the drinks always end up good in the end. read more

Never been to this Starbucks location, but with a California Powerball Jackpot of $1.6 Billion today, it was definitely worth driving around to find a lucky gas station selling lucky winning tickets. Wow! This Starbucks was very clean, staff was super friendly, and there wasn't any other customers sitting inside after 1 PM on a Saturday afternoon today. It was extremely quiet. Felt like the holidays already started. Tables & chairs outside too. Very surprised that there were more lines at the gas station next door than at Starbucks today. There's a burger place next door too, but not sure if they are open. Tiny parking lot, but you can also park nearby. Glad I came. Pastries looked delicious. Got my large peppermint mocha within 2-3 minutes of ordering. Too good. You would think the place would be packed with people on cold weekends with cloudy/rainy weather, but not today. I've been going to this Starbucks for quite some time and didn't realize I had never written a review. I really like this restaurant, since it has a drive-thru and you can also go inside to be served. The drive-thru is always quick and efficient. Even if there are several cars in line, it moves quickly. I've also noticed this location fills my coffee to the brim, unlike other locations. It's not a deal breaker, but I do appreciate that they give me the right amount for what I'm paying. The barista's always get my order right, which I also appreciate. My "go-to" Starbucks on the road! We hit this Starbucks up when we are on the road to Oakland and beyond. This perfect location has a drive thru, near a gas station, and clean restrooms. There is even a large outside patio with tables and chairs if you need to stretch and get some fresh air. After visiting a client I inadvertently found this starbucks. It's pleasantly located right off of 880 so if you ever need a quick shot of caffeine, its literally on the freeway. The store looks new, has a different design than most of the other Starbucks I've been too. Layout of the counter n the bar is more curved, which gives it a more updated look and nice flow. Staff was friendly and quick. At most had to wait a total of 30 secs from the moment on stepping in and actually receiving my Red Eye. The seating area is located in it's own bubble separate from the entrance and away from the registers. I don't like sitting at a table and someone is standing right next to me waiting to order. Bathrooms are clean, separate Women and Men's...for those who care. It's a perfect place to come, get your java, and get your work done. read more
