I don't order drinks a lot and I'm not picky, so I can't speak much to that. I order food usually and it's fine. My issue is that the staff here on a Tuesday night have been unprofessional and disrespectful. From the time I sat down, two of the staff, ethe little girl working the window on 4/28 and the one with dark hair/glasses, were saying quite mean things about me, laughing super loudly and cracking line after line very loudly. They pulled in the tall filipino girl with long hair at times. It just seems chaotic. They continued this intermittently for a few hours. It's not a random thing, it seems to be these girls' way of socializing. I will try to stick to another Starbucks when these people are working. read more

I've been coming to this Starbucks for years, but after today I'm done. I ordered a grande pumpkin crème cold brew and was handed what was clearly a tall cup. When I pointed it out, the barista, Kim, snapped back, "it's a grande." I know the difference -- I come here often. I even asked her to show me a tall cup, and when she did, it looked the same size. Instead of apologizing, she sarcastically offered to "remake it in a bigger cup." No kidding -- I ordered a grande in the first place. She can't even make the drink right, forgot the vanilla syrup in my drink. Kim's rude attitude was unbelievable. Excellent SBUX in Milpitas. I was killing time while our daughter was participating in a dance competition nearby, and this location earned five stars because of: *1* easy access from Calaveras Blvd, huge parking lot, plus drive-through! *2* comfortable seating - lots of tables, leather chairs and sofas. *3* nice ambience - music at just the right volume, plus nice artwork and clean bathrooms. *4* friendly and prompt service, plus I noticed they kept the drive-through line moving along at a brisk pace. *5* the product, of course! I placed an online order for pick-up early Saturday morning, 8/16. I had an appointment and didn't want to be late, so I decided to order in advance. When I arrived at the counter, I noticed that one of my drinks was incorrect. I went up to the register, but despite there being four baristas present, no one helped me. This complaint is about the visibly male manager who was on duty on March 14, 2025, around 2:45 PM Pacific Time. I walk in, set up my laptop, get on the phone. The manager needed less time than it took for the call to connect to be onto me and demand I make a purchase to use the premises. Approx. ten minutes later, and I am in the middle of the phone call: he comes back and insistently places the same demand. Uncouth, beyond inconvenient, and completely unnecessary. I reply, interrupting myself to the person on the phone with me, that I will be right with them to place my order. I was thinking of getting an iced coffee. As the phone call concludes, I take stock of what just happened. I change my mind. So, I ask for the manager on duty, realizing he's the same person as the one who was unrefined in addressing a person on the phone, and calmly ask him for the corporate phone number to make a complaint. I therefore call Starbucks corporate's 1-800 number, select the option to speak in Canadian French, and leave. The manager successfully obtained what he truly wanted from the moment he saw me walk into the store: to have me leave. It's obvious my kind of people (French speakers with Caucasian origins) are unwelcome at this Starbucks location. Used to go to this location occasionally but after their remodel this location is the best in the bay area. They have a cafe type vibe with private like seating and 1 open study room! This is a great location to study and get your delicious coffee. We ordered an iced and hot coffee (pour over) and the coffee was made just right. The service is exceptional. BEWARE RUDE EMPLOYEE "ALEX" works here. I ordered a tall vanilla sweet cream cold brew with light cream at the drive-thru service. When I pulled up to the window, a starbucks employee by the name of Alex was managing the window. So I waited at the window for a few minutes for him to ring me up and then he handed me my order. When I got my drink,it was as if someone rushed and poured so much cream and didn't even read the label of what I previously requested (light cream). So I politely just told Alex, "Excuse me, but I asked for light cream," and hoped he would respond in a professional way. But No!! his reaction was the total opposite. He took the drink from me and said, " This is light cream! and he threw the drink in the trash, but his body language was so obvious he was being sarcastic and basically gave me attitude for having him re-make my drink. I was SHOCKED!.. I mean, I didn't understand what I did wrong? and all I asked was to kindly know that my order was made incorrectly. So I asked for the manager, and he continued to sort of dismiss me and so I decided to go inside instead and requested to speak with the manager. Speaking the manager was USELESS as well. I explained to him what had happened and if Alex is overwhelmed at the window and can't handle the pressure that he needed to be replaced because his attitude was uncalled for! The manager didn't have a solution or even seemed concerned about the encounter I had with Alex. So I told the manager I'm going to make a complaint to the Starbucks corporation and this location. Never!!!, have I encountered such rude service from a starbucks staff person. Interior is nice, cozy and welcoming. BUT, customer service WAS HORRIBLE. One employee (Hot Pink Hair, wear glasses) was extremely RUDE to me. I was there for a while sipping on my coffee and I needed to use the restroom, so I asked her for a restroom code. She first off, ignored my presence (i was standing right in front of her) and proceeded to YELL at me me very aggressively (I bet you can hear it across the store) if I had make a purchase. Bro I was sitting with my huge a** coffee across from the counter. Then when I said yes, she told me the code without even look at my face and walk away. This Tues morning at 730 am on 01/24/23 I drove through drive thru to pick up my order. I was in a line with 2 cars ahead of me, not busy as I would expect it to be at this hour. As I sit in line I see the female employee look out the order window and give me some type of unidentifiable scowl and not only once. I was taken aback thinking no, not here. My turn is up and I proceed to drive up to the window and to my surprise or maybe not no hello, no smile, nothing. I mention that I was there to pick up an online order and give the name the order was placed under. This employee mentioned to her co worker what I just said and my order retrieved. I will add that this took all but a few seconds. She hands me my order and proceeds to tell me that the next time I pick up an order to say so at the intercom. I couldn't believe this unnecessary comment. I then needed to comment on her customer service skills which were nowhere to be seen and clearly lacking, and that a hello could be said next time. I then‍ drove off. I must say what an unfortunate visit this morning experience turned out to be and one that will impact my future coffee decisions. I always go there to study. They have an ideal environment for students to study or business meetings. The staffs are very friendly and nice. They are bigger and more spacious than the regular starbucks. Right by Mccathy Ranch and other food shopping centers. Overall, very nice place. read more

After standing in a short line of five people for 20 minutes, it was finally our turn to get take our order but they let somebody else come and cut in front of us so we had to wait another couple minutes. This Starbucks has a bit of different feel to it compared to other locations. There is a good amount of parking in the lot as well. I like those barrier/separation walls and the secluded seating area as well. Only downside is how busy it always is here. The bathrooms seems to always be very dirty here as well. My go to drink is definitely their Matcha Creme Frappuccino. It has a good matcha taste, which it is creamy and sweet as well. It really makes studying/working worth it, while sipping on the matcha Frappuccino. read more

Placed a mobile order at this Starbucks location for pickup but they put a hand-written sign by the side mobile-order pickup door saying "use the drive through line" for mobile order pick ups. I tried knocking on the side door with another customer but they wouldn't answer. The line of cars wrapped around the parking lot so deep that it was tough to get in. It took about 7 minutes to get through that line. They should have turned off accepting mobile orders if they were going to not allow pickups. April 5, 2022 : The first time they messed up my drink was when I ordered a tall nonfat iced caffe mocha. It was overdosed in mocha. I could barely taste any espresso. I had thought of going back to ask if I could get my order fixed but I did not. April 28, 2022 : The second time they messed up my order, I ordered my regular: a nonfat cap with vanilla and a iced brown sugar shaken espresso with oat milk - I came back this time to let them know because I felt like I would be throwing away hard earned money if I didn't say anything. the cap was overdosed with vanilla and the iced brown sugar shaken espresso was definitely NOT shaken. They educated me that a tall has a certain amount of sweetener pumps depending on the size. I responded by letting them know that I understand, however this is my regular drink and this time it is OVERWHELMINGLY sweet. As for the other drink, I told them I ordered a shaken and I don't believe it was and they took one glimpse of the drink and they politely admitted that it was not shaken. They fixed my drinks and I appreciated them for doing so. May 4, 2022 The third time they messed up my order, I ordered an iced brown sugar shaken espresso with oat milk with light ice through the drive through. A young lady handed my drink and it was noticeably not shaken and lacking. I vocalized my concern if the drink was shaken and she explained that this is how a shaken looks and because of light ice they added more oat milk without my consent. I simply agreed because I just didn't want to argue anymore but I was very upset about this. I wanted to give this Starbucks one last try but I regret that decision. May 22, 2022: The fourth time I had an error in my drink along with horrible customer service was today. I walked in and the baristas were grouped up making a whole bunch of noise talking amongst each other which in my POV as a customer looked very unprofessional. With that it was also very difficult to hear the cashier and I could barely hear myself but I ordered anyway. I ordered a mango dragon fruit lemonade and a soy cappuccino this time. Normally the cashier would repeat back my order but she did not but I didn't think much of it. She asked for my name and I said "May like the month." The barista called out May, and I took the drinks and drove off to my next destination. After the errors I had from this Starbucks, I regret not checking whether my drinks were correct before I left. So I learned they made my drinks incorrectly for the fourth time as soon as I arrived to my next destination. For one, when she asked for my name I specifically said "May like the month" but it was spelled Mei. Which normally wouldn't bother me but just proves to me she clearly was not listening to me. And it also doesn't help that her co workers were very loud along with the music. Also, I learned that the mango DRAGONFRUIT lemonade I thought I had ordered was actually taken as a mango PASSIONFRUIT lemonade and my soy cap tasted like hot soy milk. I could barely taste the espresso. I am very upset, with these last several weeks and truly hope staff and management get their act together. I am a Milpitas native and this is my closest Starbucks and have been going here since it opened and I am very upset with my recent experiences and hope by sharing I can save someone time and money because I sure didn't. Again, I am very fed up of the unprofessionalism and wasted TIME, ENERGY, GAS & MONEY and I am sad to say that I will no longer be going here and will share my experience with my neighbors and friends.
