I've been coming to this Starbucks almost every morning for 3 years (I work across the street), in recent weeks a new morning crew has been filtering through. Ive never waited longer for an order in my life as I have the past few weeks. I've tried online order and in person no difference. This morning I waited for almost 20 mins in line before even getting to order.... 9 people behind me and 3 in front.... 3 in front..... This Starbucks is very busy and very slow. Would recommend mobile ordering if you come to this location in order to skip the line. Also they wouldn't sweeten my green tea latte, saying the powder is already sweet, which it's not. I've gotten it sweetened at other Starbucks before. Giving 2 stars for the shitty service from the Brunette cashier. I asked for 75% sweetness and she gave me this disgusted face and let out a huge sigh and asked "what do you mean by that?" Then she proceeded to say there are no substitutes. I let it go but was taken back at how poor her service was. I understand this location is busy, however, it was just no way to treat a customer. I'm not on this specific page to review Starbucks Coffee; I'm here to specifically review this location that resides in the Trabuco Plaza. I was going to write them a letter on how to improve this branch, but I think writing to the world of Yelp would be much more conducive to getting change. The only reason why I frequent this Starbucks is because it is less than a mile away from where I work. The coffee, location, and quality is fine. However, the reason why I particularly dislike this Starbucks is because their service is AWFUL. And the more I go, the worse it gets. I have been going there multiple times every week for the past two years and they STILL do not know my name or my drink order. The other staff from my office who go there are still looked at like strangers every time as well. They make absolutely no effort to care for the customer. Today, the barista had no "Thank you" at the end and would not even look at me once when I was giving my order. The staff also always seem flustered like they are extremely busy if there are more than 3 customers in line and they take it out on the customers. They wear impatience on their face. If you cannot handle a fast-paced work environment like a coffee shop, then maybe you should not be working there. When things are slower, the staff is way too concerned about chatting with each other than the person waiting in front of the register. How they can improve: 1. Make an effort to know customer's names (at least the Regulars) 2. Not look so frustrated, flustered, and impatient when serving customers read more

The place is by my house. Service is terribly slow, the older lady at the front has a habit of making conversation when there is a line. The drinks are extremely inconsistent and the baristas look like they've all taken muscle relaxers before their shift. If you order on the app, most locations are about 5-10 minutes average; this one is 15-30 minutes. Management needs to get it together at this location otherwise corporate should step in. Would give 4 but I was made to feel like a fool the last time I was in there. I bought my regular vente iced coffee around 830 am on a Saturday. Decided to head back in like I usually do around 2 pm on my way home from work for my free refill (gold card). Waited behind some obnoxious people for a good while, walked up to Grant, and said "could I get a refill please?" As I handed him my cup with no lid and my gold card. He looked at me and said "I've been up here for an hour and I haven't seen you in here so I can't give you a refill?". I asked when they got all serious about that and told him that I am a regular here and I do this quite often and a lot of times with their manager. Grant just yelled out "shift leader!" And stared me down. The shift leader, whom has filled my request MULTIPLE times looked at me and said "you weren't just chillen out in the lobby?". NO! I said "F" it and went to the Irvine blvd and sand canyon location..... Where I gave them my drink....got my refill and bought my wife her hibiscus refresher, a croissant, and a pellegrino. Too bad that whole sale and every future sale has been lost due to this. 2 stars for David though.... he's a good guy. The the staff....pick up the book by the owner of Farrell's ice cream parlor....its called something like "just give them the pickle"....you could learn something about customer service and retention. read more

I would give this location less than one star if possible. First off, the barista that took my order had the biggest attitude. She didn't even greet me. She just looked at me waiting for my drink order... Which she didn't even let me finish telling her the entire order before she went ahead and handed the cup off to the next barista to make it. Then once the barista was making my order, (I ordered a mocha with 5 shots) he made my order, put 2 of the shots in, realized there wasn't enough room, so then he poured some or my drink out. Well, there went my shots at the top of the drink. Thanks. Overall just a terrible experience. From start to finish. Starbucks really needs to up their requirement when hiring. Or at least reconsider what they call "customer service". read more

More likely than not, folks are going to Starbucks out of necessity for a caffeine fix not because they enjoy the taste of their coffees or the ambiance. I go for caffeine and to get in a bit of studying. I've become a regular at this one. Don't regulars get treated with favor? Not here. It doesn't pay to frequent any Starbucks as the employees turn over and they don't seem to know the rules on their promotions. Just sayin.. some locations are better than others and I'd say this one is subpar. I'm a regular. So far I've been satisfied. But apparently one of their new baristas isn't so satisfactory. Drink making wise. I came in at about 7:30pm on 8/20/15. The person who took my drink didn't have a name tag, but he was a male 17-25 with brown hair brown eyes and glasses. I brought my own cup, and he forgot to give me the 10¢ discount. I had to remind him to refund me. NO. and see, that caramel macchiato took wayyyyy too long. ppl who ordered after me got their drinks first. I go in to this Starbucks at least four times a week. I almost always use the Mobile Order feature when I'm three or four minutes away and it's ALWAYS ready for me when I get there. This is -- BY FAR -- the best Starbucks I have ever been to. I don't know where they find such perfect angels to work here, but I am eternally grateful. I have been here several times in the morning before work and become more frustrated with the service every time I go. They are so slow! I have been to a bookstore where it is manned by one person and have gotten drinks faster with a line. I have been several times in the morning before work and it takes at least 10 minutes at least (normally 15) to order and get my drink when there are maybe 2 or 3 people who have ordered before me. The biggest reason they seem to be slow is because they have one person making drinks while the one is at the register and the other stands around doing nothing. It is also frustrating that people who order a coffee that takes as much work as yours to make will get it before not just you, but the 2 or 3 people before you who have not received their drinks yet. This branch plays obvious favorites to people they recognize. They don't even try hard to get to know you are be nice. They don't remember to call out your name, and so far every time I tell them to have a good day they don't even bother to respond. Maybe this place is better once the morning shift is gone, I don't know. Stay away from this place in the morning. read more

Location: At the corner of Jeffrey and Trabuco, this Starbucks is located adjacent to a Kohls. Its easy to spot since its on the corner and there are a couple restaurants around it and a Juice It Up. Parking is pretty easy - we have never had a problem. There is a huge parking lot around it, but I've always found a spot near the Starbucks. Service: This location is almost always super busy unless you go extremely early in the morning. They are always polite and seem happy however despite this. All the baristas I have encountered work fairly fast given the high volume of drinks that come in (including mobile order), however again, not quite as fast as my "normal" starbucks stop. This is kind of secondary location for me when I'm driving around for work. I believe you have to ask for mobile orders again here - they keep them behind the bar. Overall: Good parking, easy accessibility and fast drinks. All good. read more

Over the years I have alternated between this location and Woodbury Plaza on Sand Canyon. Woodbury is larger, and until more recently, had a more upscale feel. For a while it also seemed like the Jeffrey store had a lot of turnover so drinks were inconsistent so I naturally gravitated to Woodbury. After a series of bad experiences at the Woodbury store including one that involved waiting 28 minutes for a frappe, I revisited Jeffrey. It's been nicely remodeled, and the staff is so much nicer and more efficient. They are uber-friendly, so I almost didn't mind paying the extra $0.20 for my coffee this morning (not that the price hikes are hurting them, they are still extremely busy). It was nice not feeling like the employees were grudgingly making crafting my $5 beverage but instead were happily awaiting my arrival. As a bonus, In my last few visits I haven't had to wait more than 3-4 minutes for my coffee. I think I've come home to roost... Until the next series of staff changes, at least. :) read more

This is the closest Starbucks to where I live, so of course I incorporated a stop here into my morning schedule. However, after a month of consistently coming here, there was always an issue of them forgetting my pastry or my breakfast sandwich. This happened on multiple occasions. The most irritating part is when I order breakfast sandwiches, half of the time a portion of the sandwich is still cold. Either the microwave at this particular location needs to be fixed or they are taking it out too soon! I pay top dollar for your frozen breakfast sandwiches at least nuke it all the way! read more

I come to this location the most often because it's a mile from my house. There's outdoor seating so on a nice day, it's a good place to meet up casually with a friend. The indoor seating is also plentiful. I love Starbucks Oprah Chai. It's good as a latte or as a hot tea (and then pour over ice) if you want a lower calorie alternative. Frequent visitor to this location mainly because it is right next to my house, literally maybe a 5 minute walk. Seating wise there are two high raised tables that fit a person and their study materials, two single person couches with a mini table next to it, 1 big square table big enough for 2, 1 square table big enough for 1, and one long wooden table good enough for (currently sitting on it with 8 people) 8 people. The workers are always, always friendly, they don't have that "ugh I hate my life" look that some other Starbucks workers have. Cups and tumblers they do not have that much variety. Overall your standard Starbucks, nothing extraordinary, but very friendly staff. read more
