I always order off the app. My order is always ready when I arrive. The staff is both friendly and efficient. I'd like to especially recognise Joselyn for her cheerful attitude and also greeting me by name. The store is always very clean. My only issue is that one of the metal/fabric chairs is missing the metal bar that prevents the back cushion from falling out, thus causing the patron to fall backward if they're not prepared. I want to start off by saying I'm disappointed. If I could give a 0/5 I would. last night I showed up for the new bear cups at around 1:30am and I was waiting in line patiently as the 7th person in line. I thought I came early enough to get a cup for my daughter's birthday. At around 3am a young man and lady showed up and went to talk to a few people at the very front of the line . As soon as Starbucks opened their presumed manager walked out to keep an orderly line. However the two who showed up stayed at the front of the line instead of going to the back. With further inspection the young girl named "Alondra" who cut had an apron in her pocket which I assume is a worker. Although I showed up early and waited for hours I wasn't able to buy any of the limited cups as they sold out by the time I got to the front. Ordered the grande mocha and peppermint mocha. Been ages since I had a Starbucks but since I was out of town, decided to have coffee before heading to the gilroy outlet. There were like 6 staff that Saturday afternoon working... college looking kids that was more focused In chatting. The grande size has definitely shrunk in size .. either that or they made the cup look skinnier. The kid who made my drink didn't make it have any taste or sweetness. After having a rough week I stopped by Starbucks to get a coffee before school. I ordered a grande iced Carmel macchiato on the app and went to pick it up inside. I saw that it was my order but they gave me a venti instead of grande. The girl handing out the drinks was so kind and asked if I wanted a grande instead but I reassured her it was okay. This Starbucks in Gilroy is hands down my favorite location. I live in San Jose, but whenever I'm visiting family in Gilroy, this is the one I always come to. It's always clean, the drinks are consistently great, and the quality never slips. The customer service is next level. Customer service ranges from average to good. I've used both drive-thru and in-person, and orders seem to come out quickly both ways. The tables could be cleaner but considering how busy it can get, I think it could be worse. There's ample parking in the lot and in the street, which is convenient. The reason I took two stars off is because the bathrooms can sometimes get neglected and the music is always obnoxiously loud to the point that having a conversation is difficult unless you're talking very loudly or leaning in close to the person you're with. And if you're trying to get any work done, I highly recommend going elsewhere because the music is so loud that you'll clearly hear it even through noise-cancelling headphones. It is seemingly employed by a bunch of super young and careless kids who don't bother to display an ounce of decent customer service. My first visit at this fairly new location (opened up on November 13, 2020) and I must say this place is super busy, especially at the drive-through. We arrived here at 2:15pm in the drive through queue and departed at 2:47pm (having about 10 cars in front of us when we arrived). They have Super friendly service and their beverages tasted consistently good; however their drive through was definitely a longer wait than the average Starbucks. We waited about 30mins from start to finish just to get a hot coffee and hot tea. Sadly, they post on their window (at the end of the drive-thru, with no advanced warning) that they are greatly limited to staffing due to COVID regulations in this area. My new favorite Starbucks! I am so glad to have a drive thru Starbucks on this side of town. Customer service: the crew was extremely welcome every time we have visited. Our first visit, the cashier came around the counter to show us the beautiful patio. We appreciated the extra step she took to welcome us in to the new location. Parking: There is 15 minute parking out front, which is perfect for mobile order pickup. The shopping center has parking throughout. I typically park in the front (on the first street side) which always has available parking. The shopping center offers additional parking behind Brew City (between bank & brew city) which is perfect for any overflow, however I have not had to use it yet because parking has been available in the shopping center itself every time I've been. Sitting area: Starbucks has a beautiful, large patio on the first street side. The view of the rolling hills is beautiful and there has always been available seating during my visits. Drive-thru: this Starbucks has a drive-thru. The staff is very welcoming during the order screen, always asking how my day is and for my name. Mikayla at the pickup window gave us a wonderful experience, asking our plans for the weekend and building conversation as they were finishing up our drinks. This drive thru is quick, efficient and kept their line moving while providing a great experience. 5/5 stars. I am truly happy to have this wonderful Starbucks on first street. read more

This new location is very modern and aesthetically pleasing! The building itself is larger than most Starbies and definitely cozy, especially with the Holiday decors up. Due to extended covid restrictions, the indoor is off limits to seatings right now, but the outdoor tables and chairs are open! It's a tad breezy to be outdoors, but it's still an option if you're bundled up or ordered a nice warm coffee to sip! Perhaps they should add a few heaters out there- that would be nice! The lot itself is a bit congested! It's the only business currently opened in the new plaza and it's already occupying most of the parking lot space. The drive-thru is pretty wonky as well. It's narrow and it weaves between two buildings and into the congested parking lot. I'm sure when the new Brew City Burgers open up (decently large restaurant), it will be mayhem in that lot!! Overall, opening week wasn't bad or maybe I was just very understanding and patient, haha. Our orders did take a little long and they did forget one item, but they were at least very friendly. Also, their drive-thru was very busy during this time, which may explain the delay. Anyways, once covid restrictions are lifted, this location would be a very nice Starbies to work at. I was gone from Gilroy a long time because I couldn't afford housing. Then I recently came back. I've been really really stressed out from housing and transportation issues. Critical issues that make it so I can't sleep. Anyway... I'm at Starbucks and everyone here is great. Memo is great. We did an order today for three people. I wanted to thank Alex for being so mindful of each guest / customer. Alex really has a powerful focus and she's able to help everyone fast, yet she also remembers your order and preferences as if you're the only person in the store. It's rare to have both. Sometimes it seems an employee at another location remembers everything, but also takes their time (so they don't forget in being too busy / multi-tasking).
