Would really recommend Only negative was asking for my drink to be blended where I was told I would not get the special offer price. Customer service was weird. I am a regular customer and lately it's been a hit or miss with customer service and sadly the coffee too. If paying with a card *Please Be Aware*, I usually tip, and the baristas are pretty good at asking before authorizing payment. But this time around, the barista didn't ask, and when I left and reviewed my receipt, I guess the barista decided on how much she should tip herself and tipped herself 20%. I'm writing this review because I am fed up with having to take trips back to Java express at least one or two times weekly to get my drinks made correctly. It takes me roughly 20 mins to go back to java to have them correct their mistake/s. This has happened at least four times over the course of the past month. My biggest gripe and reasoning for a 1 star review is Javas employess neglect to provide any compensation when a customer returns with a poorly made drink. Its not something a customer should have to ask for; common sence to keep customers happy! To avoid this common issue and continue aiming for customers loyalty, I would highly suggest holding training days with all of your employees/baristas to insure consistant-quality beverages are being produced every single time! Seems simple enough? Also, make it POLICY when a client/customer returns with a poorly made drink, give them a gift certificate for a free beverage/drink (if they return next time). I'm sure by implementing these changes/actions it would avoid one star reviews through the leading platform for reviews. As a business owner; one star reviews will keep you up at night. read more

Great coffee drivethru with walk up counter. No sitdown area. Tricky menu as no clear pricing but its reasonable and at par like other places in hollister. Their large seems larger than other places. Different syrups but you have to ask for the menu. read more

I was excited to stop by Java this morning since I hadn't been here in years. I made a very simple order of two regular mochas but was super disappointed to find out that they were both lukewarm. It's such a disappointment to spend money on coffee that isn't even served hot! What's the point of buying lukewarm coffee? After reheating them at home, they actually tasted closer to chocolate milk than a cafe mocha. This is not a hard drink to make especially for a business that claims to have "rich and delicious" mochas as their specialty drinks on their Yelp page. Overall, this experience was a let down and isn't the Java I remember. It's unfortunate because I was really looking forward to supporting this small business on a regular basis. I'm sorry to say that I won't be returning back anytime soon. read more

BEST WHITE CHOCOLATE MOCHA I have ever had! I come here everyday and got all my housemates including my boyfriend obsessed and hooked. Whenever any of my girlfriends or friends come over I always buy them one. They even text me every now and then saying they are craving it. Went here for the first time today around 7:30 and let me just say the service was amazing! The line was long but went by so fast. The girl with the piercings took my order and made my drink super fast. Another girl with blonde hair rung me up was also very kind. Both girls had a smile on and that's exactly what I want so early in the morning. I got a 16 ounce white mocha and it was delicious! The first girl even asked me to try it and said if I didn't like it she'd make me something else. Amazing customer service. Wish I lived closer so I could come again. read more

Years ago when I worked out of town I used to stop here on a regular basis. The employees were always smiling and very pleasant. They were quick and efficient. The coffee was good. I went to Java Friday 3/18/2021 in the morning around 8:10am and ordered a large granita with vanilla(blended vanilla latte) w/ oat milk and a black coffee coming out to be $8.50. When I was at my office working I realized I ordered a large and they gave me a small. I went back because they are located right down the street from my office to politely ask for the large coffee I paid for. This was a little before 9am when I went back and two ladies were working in the booth. I did not catch their names but I initially came up to the cashier who is facing away from gold's member gym and towards the residential homes. She was very polite and nice wearing a cheetah print mask, but her colleague helping her and who stepped in was not very kind. That barista, who was not located at the cash register I pulled up to, refunded me a $1 rather than replacing my coffee. I don't know if this is out of pettiness or sheer laziness, but regardless the principle was rude and I was very disappointed in the customer service. I came for the experience and to receive the coffee I ordered. There are lots of local coffee shops who have consistently kind staff and I will not be returning to Java and I will recommend others to do the same. read more

I wouldn't expect a house of decadence outside of a fitness monastery, but this was like the rogue M&M you find in an "all natural" health trail mix. ** BEST CUP OF JOE ** - Java Express still rules in my book despite the increasing number of Starbucks (last count 5 and still growing). They also serve rich, frothy hot chocolates and italian sodas. Can't beat the convenience of a drive-up window, but sometimes the lines can be quite large, especially in the am and after football games. They got so busy, they now have two locations. One going outta town, near the Hwy 25 exit and one on the corner of Cushman & Nash Rd where the old K & S used to be and where Gold's Gym is now. read more
