The food here is genuinely great, the chilaquiles are especially good and absolutely worth trying. Everything we ate was flavorful and well prepared. That said, the service is chaotic. The staff is very kind and clearly working hard, but the system itself feels completely unorganized. It honestly feels like everyone is on their first day at the same time. Tables don't seem to be divided in a logical way. Instead of one server handling inside and another the patio, servers are running back and forth between both areas, which slows everything down. During our visit, we ordered drinks with one person, placed our food order with who I think was our actual waitress, had our food delivered by someone from the kitchen who wasn't sure which table it belonged to, got refills from someone who may have been the manager or owner, and didn't see our waitress again until we had to go ask for the check ourselves. Kitchen staff were walking out with dishes asking around to find the right table, which added to the confusion. Everyone is friendly and clearly trying their best, but the lack of organization makes the experience inefficient and a bit stressful as a customer. I would still recommend Buenos Días Cafecito if you have time and patience that day. The food really is that good, just don't come in a rush or expecting smooth service. read more

This was my first time trying out this restaurant, the food was great and I would definitely recommend this place. I ordered the red chilaquiles with a side of steak. The chilaquiles had great flavor but I wouldn't say it's spicy enough. Everything was well seasoned and every bite was so good. My mom had the French toast which I did sneak a bite lol. It was a cinnamon French toast which had a swirl in the middle. We also had cafe de olla and that was alright, coffee could have been a bit warmer but overall it was still good. The place is kind of small and they have an indoor and outdoor area. They only had 1 server who was attending others, they could have used one other person to help. Decided to make a pitstop for breakfast while we were in the area and it was so worth it. Hubby had tried this place before and recommended that we try it as he was craving Cafe De Olla. We were seated immediately (we chose to sit outside). The place looked clean, we ordered our food a few minutes after sitting. For our meals, I got the skillet and hubby got the chilaquiles and it was really good. The Cafe De Olla was a little too cinnamony for me but hubby said it was pretty good. This is my second time trying Buenos Dias Cafecito and I really like it. The food tastes just like authentic Mexican breakfasts. Ordered the chilaquiles divorciados which is essentially both green and red chilaquiles. If you are indecisive like me this is the perfect plate for you. It is paired with diced potatoes, two eggs(made to your preference) and refried beans. Every bite is filled with flavor. Everything on the plate compliments each other so well. The plate is also very big so you will leave there with a full belly. The coffee(cafe de olla) is paired nicely with the chilaquiles. The coffee has a hint of cinnamon flavor that elevates the already good coffee. They have indoor and outdoor patio so you have the choice of either or. I do recommend you to go early or else you will have to wait around 10-15 mins. It is worth the wait though. read more

Don't get the orange juice as it doesn't taste fresh and yet they're charging for fresh prices. Service definitely was lacking, could be because I came in the later afternoon. Breakfast was amazing!! I was torn between chilaquiles and huevos rancheros so I have to go back!! The cafe de olla was really good as well. The huevos rancheros were sooo delicious. We were seated right away but by the time we left there was a line waiting. The one person who got regular coffee was asked if she wanted more coffee often. As a regular to Buenos Dias my opinions of the restaurant are always torn. The food is great but the service and wait are terrible. We went this morning for breakfast and they sat us right away but left us alone for over 20 minutes. Nobody checked in on us or took our order. The place was not full at all and several employees came looked around but never stopped at our table and there were over 4 waitresses at the podium walking around. It was obvious no order was taken as we still had our menus. We ended up leaving to eat at the next door restaurant. Unfortunately this is not the only time this has happened either. We regularly wait for either our waitress to take an order, or our bill to be closed out. read more

Needed a quick lunch while passing through Hollister, and my fellow Yelpers led us to this spot. Chilequiles were fabulous - I got half green and half red sauce and loved them both. I tried the Cafe de Olla based on Yelp's recommendation - it's a drink I had never heard of before but quite liked. The coffee aspect was faint - I think I would have preferred it as a more obviously coffee based drink - but the smooth cinnamon flavor, lightly sweetened, was pleasant. I don't have any other point of reference for Cafe de Olla so I can't tell how typical this version is, but it tastes nice and comes in a cute cup, so I recommend going for it! Our kiddo enjoyed her "Mighty Mouse Pancake" - very cute. Nice outdoor seating and colorful indoor artwork. I arrived pretty early on in the day and was served rather quickly. The space is somewhat big but I'm assuming they get full and might have a waitlist during their busiest hours. The inside is colorful and you can see inside the kitchen which I always enjoy. The food was amazing and tasted incredible. The cafe de olla was really good too! I was looking for a good breakfast burrito spot in town, and after having struck out a few times, I found Buenos Dias Cafecito on Yelp. How have I been downtown so many times and missed this place? I called the number and ordered 10 burritos for my team, some with customizations. Not a single burrito came out wrong. They nailed it the first time. When I walked in to pick them up I was immediately enthralled with it. The feel and setup of the dining room reminds me so much of the little restaurants I've enjoyed in Mexico and Central America. I felt right at home, and was quickly given my heavy to go bags loaded down with burrito goodness. I can't wait to go eat a meal in there! They were definitely busy, and my staff loved the breakfast. I can see why it was packed in there. If you're looking for a nice little spot in town to grab a meal, I definitely recommend this cafecito. read more

Food is 10/10. Service.. not so much, at least today and the last time I was here. My entire family was served and when my plate wasn't brought out to me, our waitress informed me that she was waiting on my chicken sandwich, which i didn't order. I ordered a BLT. She says "oh yeah, it should be out soon" that's how i knew she got my order incorrect and instead of saying that, i waited about 20 mins to get my BLT, and by this point my family was halfway through with their own meals. She said my meal wasn't ready and she was "just waiting for my fries". Such a lie! Be honest, you made a mistake and i would've been OK. My mom had to walk up to the front and ask why my food hasn't been brought out yet, and what does she see? My plate just sitting on the counter.. ready. Our waitress also made the poor mistake of not informing us that alcohol wasn't allowed on the patio, but yet, she still brought it and then had another waitress come to our table to inform us that "Moving forward, we can't have alcohol on the patio" lol. Her energy was just bad. I didn't like her at all. By the time we FINALLY get our check, our waitress informs us that our bill included the tip, which i thought she didn't deserve at all. She said since we were a party of 6, the tip is automatically included. So i ask, "My 2 year old child counts as a full sized adult? that's funny" she then goes "yeah sorry" and walks away. I was going to ask to speak to a manager about waiting 20-30 mins for a simple BLT, but at this point, my family just wanted to get out of there. I didn't get to enjoy my meal with my family. I try my absolute best to always give some grace to waiters/waitress, since i was one myself, but hey... sometimes we give bad service unknowingly. Great Sunday morning breakfast/brunch spot. It had very good service although a bit rushed. I ordered french toast and was very pleased with the food portions and overall taste of this dish. The chilaquiles was a popular dish and can say it lived up to its expectations. There really isn't any bad things to say about this place other than it being really busy.
