First of all, yayyy we finally have a Philz Coffee in Morgan Hill! It's super cute as most of their locations are. There's plenty of seating, really nice couches and nooks if you want to work or relax. It is a bit loud well cuz of the lines and of course all the magic coffee making hehe I wanted to try the holiday drink but landed up getting the Philtered Soul which has always always been my favorite. I obviously got it extra sweet and extra creamy! Fair warning, this place is busssyyyy! Lines are long and it takes a bit to get your order so if you're in a hurry, this might not be the place for you! But the drinks are worth it. Especially if you like flavored coffee! Yumm.. The staff is very sweet and are trying their best. You can tell they're working very hard to keep the crowd happy! I usually write my reviews later but I had sometime here so writing it right away while I wait. Parking was a bit tricky but there's plenty of parking in the lot if not right in front of it. The Philtered Soul tasted delicious just as I expected. Might be making a lot more trips here, well obviously when I have more time lol They open super early too so that's great!

Another great addition to South County. I've been going to Philz for over 15 years, and the coffee still hits every time. Whether you like it straight black or sweet and creamy, you really can't go wrong. The layout of this location is great, and the mural is a perfect representation of South County and Morgan Hill. Definitely use the app when ordering the time has been pretty accurate for me, except for one time. The staff are doing a great job, and I'm sure the service will continue to improve as time goes on. I'll definitely be back as a regular at this location.

Went during the weekend and it was busy! I decided to order on the app and I'm sure it saved me some time. Service was great. It was nice and clean. The coffee was great and the green chile burrito.

I'm so glad we have a new coffee spot in Morgan Hill. Philz is one of my favorite places that we normally have to go to San Jose for. Now it's right here in Morgan Hill. I've been here 3 times so far. The place is clean, the staff seem friendly and they are all smiling which is nice. They always have good coffee and good bakery treats.

I was super excited for this location to open. I ordered online for a pick up and when I went into the store I was greeted by friendly staff, who were very helpful. I ended up ordering some pastries in person, and the cashier was knowledgeable about which pastries to choose from when I asked for recommendations. I order the tiramisu latte, which is holiday special, 10/10 recommend before it's off the menu. Overall, super excited for this location and will definitely be here on a regular.

Love this Philz Coffee location in Morgan Hill. I got the Tiramisu and Ecstatic, and both were solid. The service was amazing--super friendly and welcoming. It's also a great place to study or get work done with a vibrant, comfortable environment. Only small feedback: dialing in the creaminess ratio a bit more would really take it to the next level. I've been going to the San Jose location for a while and that one really hits--this Morgan Hill spot is almost there. Overall, still a great experience and I'll definitely be back.

Went in to get some ground coffee to try. Specified what type of coffee maker I had and filter. They take 10min to give me two quarter pounds of coffee. I get home and they didn't even grind it, it's just the whole beans. Now I guess I have to buy a grinder for home? Also, I went opening day and was turned away because they didn't have the proper license to be open. I'll stick to Peet's. At least they give you a small coffee when you buy ground coffee.

Here is my home stash of Philz. Me and all my coworkers drink their Tesora blend every day and love it.

Finally there is a Philz in Morgan Hill! This is my spot and at work I exclusively drink Philz. Philz is where you go for a nice coffee experience, not a quick come of Joe. The baristas I've met are locals and super nice.

The shop itself is a bit small, so it may not be the easiest place to study for long periods, but it has a great atmosphere, good vibes, and a very welcoming environment. The outdoor seating was a huge plus, especially with nice weather -- it's the perfect spot to sit outside and enjoy your coffee. Parking in the area can be a little tricky and it is paid parking, but that's pretty common for most downtown areas. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for quality coffee and a nice atmosphere.

The banana cream felt lacking as well. Even after mixing the cream top with the matcha, it felt unsatisfying and not enough banana flavor. I do like how the overall drink isn't overly sweet and the texture of the cream was nice. It was fairly crowded on a Thursday morning but the line to order moves quick. My drink took about 15 minutes to come out. Maybe it was just an off day? But I had higher expectations for their banana cream matcha.

By the way, the name is an homage to the classic Alfred Hitchcock film "Vertigo" (1958). The climactic scene in the movie was filmed at Mission San Juan Bautista.

There was a mix of people studying, working, and chatting with friends; it's a very lively community spot. Despite how chaotic it was, the space was generally clean and the service was great. The cashier made sure to get our names and address us by them. The decor is beautiful, feeling intentionally designed. I thought it was really cool that they have a slow coffee bar area specifically for pour overs (I think) where tech isn't allowed, so people are just supposed to sit and enjoy their coffee. I've never seen that before in a coffee shop. The menu is extensive. Since it was later in the day, the baked goods were half off, which was a nice surprise. I got a blueberry latte and an Asian fusion focaccia bread. Blueberry latte - I liked this! The blueberry flavor was subtle and not overly sweet or artificial tasting. It added a light fruity note to the coffee without overpowering it. Fusion focaccia bread - This was tasty, but I felt the original price was steep ($12). My piece was around 6" x 3". The shiitake mushroom flavor was strong and I loved the addition of scallions and Chinese sausage sprinkled throughout the bread. Overall, this is such a cool addition to coffee culture in the South Bay. It feels like shop from a big city like SF, NYC, or Chicago instead of little ol' SJ. The ambiance and options are solid, and it has a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. You can be a casual coffee drinker or a coffee snob and it will be a satisfying experience.

The best coffee in Modesto…read more One of only two coffee roasters in Modesto City proper, Milone has been roasting superior coffee for almost 30 years (since the late 80's). It all began as Plantation Coffee Company, a roastery & full service cafe. They closed the cafe part of the business long ago, & today operate as wholesale distributors. Where can you sample some Milone coffee? Several local businesses carry them...Sabatino's, Michael's Pizza, Papapavlo's, Velvet Creamery, & Picasso's, just to name a few. I was particularly impressed to learn that the coffee I had at Sabatino's, which I loved, was just one end of a surprisingly broad & prolific spectrum. From Brazilian roast to Fogburner, there's a roast for every palate. And after sampling just 2 of their roasts, it was easy to surmise that any coffee lover will find a Milone roast that he or she loves. Not a business owner? No problem. You can come in & purchase beans by the pound. But remember that this isn't a full service cafe. I had the pleasure of meeting Scott during my most recent visit. Scott knows everything about coffee. He's basically a walking & talking coffee encyclopedia. He is also beyond personable. A gem. This is the best coffee in Modesto. 5 stars.
