I was really excited to try this place since it opened not too long ago, but unfortunately, I left a bit disappointed. I ordered an iced vanilla latte, and it didn't taste like a vanilla latte at all. It was extremely bitter with an almost sour flavor, which made me wonder if the espresso shot was over-extracted or if the beans weren't as fresh as they could be. That said, I'm willing to give them some grace since they're still a newer café. The location is adorable, it's a cozy little corner spot right next to the parking garage with a nice atmosphere. While the coffee wasn't for me, I hope they continue to improve as they settle in. Personally, I don't think I'd return for another latte. Note: Have a restroom and don't take cash. read more

Common Craft & Coffee is a warm inviting space that makes you want to be a regular. The staff were super friendly which added to the experience. The coffee is excellent, and they use beans from Saint Frank! They also carry pastries that paired really well with a morning coffee, though they might sell fast in the morning. The almond croissant was perfectly balanced. If you're in Morgan Hill and appreciate quality coffee, thoughtful sourcing, and a neighborhood feel, this spot is worth a visit! When I catch wind of a new coffee shop I gotta check it out. By far one of my favorite hobbies. Common Craft Coffee has taken over where Coffee Guys used to be. It had its soft opening the day before my visit and has soft opening hours. I came right before they were closing for the day. I walked in and was greeted right away and walked up to register to check the menu out. I asked for a recommendation and several options were presented to me. The first one being the vanilla latte, matcha, and the barista recommendation of a cappuccino. I opted for the cappuccino and he asked if I liked a pasty and of course we're getting a chocolate croissant. He let me know my order would be ready shortly so I waited by a table. I heard my name and my drink was ready. The coffee was delicious and espresso forward. I knew I had tasted this coffee before and realized after seeing the shelves that the coffee beans come from the roastery Saint Frank in Menlo Park. It was the end of the day but I still risked it all getting a chocolate croissant. In my experience pastries tend to get hard and not flavorful at end of the day so I was pleasantly surprised to bite into a soft buttery chocolate croissant. It was delicious and such a good pair with my cappuccino. The space here is absolutely beautiful. High ceilings and a few scattered tables. Outside seating is also available and probably the best place to hangout and catch up. Based on the current table set up inside it would be hard to snatch up a table to work from there but it would be a great place for that. I don't know how loud it gets when it's busy. Bathroom was clean. Parking around the area but not right in front unless you get lucky with one of those random side street parkings. I'm curious to try the matcha and will update once I do. This is a brand new coffee shop in downtown Morgan Hill that was undergoing their soft opening when I tried them out. It's a very open concept welcoming location with very polite workers and a very simple Coffee list. They do have some pastry options, but since it's their soft opening, they ran out very quickly. Their coffee is surprisingly very well balanced not to acidic and I would definitely make this might go to game to downtown Morgan Hill. The ambience is very calming with soft music and write on the main strip so there's a lot of potential customers walking by their shop on a consistent basis. read more

To start off, I absolutely adore the clean aesthetic inside the cafe. I like how it's on the corner and it feels very open to the outdoors and just, lot's of natural lighting. It was just nice to feel the breeze while inside the cafe and also not be subjected to the harshness of indoor artificial lighting. I ordered an iced mocha and an iced vanilla latte. The service was great, the person at the register was nice and was super accommodating for all our modifications. I love how they have a little table for tailoring the drink to your personal taste. I thought it was super unique to see a honey bottle and simple syrup. It was very independent and self serving and I enjoyed that freedom, I always feel bad having to bother my baristas so if I can just do it myself, it makes me feel a bit better relieving them of another stressor. I liked how the mocha (I ordered less sweet) was perfect in sweetness and I felt like they used dark chocolate or semisweet chocolate for the mocha as it wasn't overtly sweet and had this perfect undertone of richness. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would be open to revisiting this place whenever I am back in the area! This is so out of the ordinary for me but I did forget to take photos this day so I'm going to take this as an excuse to go back and try it again! read more

I'm a big coffee lover and enjoy trying and supporting different local coffee spots. I go to Mohi Farm often, just down the street, and had been looking forward to Common Craft Coffee opening. My wife and I ordered a regular latte with oat milk and a vanilla latte. Both came out watered down and flat, without much taste, even on the oat milk. This was disappointing, because I think this place has a lot of potential given the location and the footprint of the store. I really want this place to thrive. I enjoy coming to this area for the coffee, pastries, and restaurants this strip has to offer. It might be worth revisiting the process for the coffee grind, or the way the drinks are made. I'm not sure if it's a training gap or a process that needs adjusting, but I hope the coffee tastes better going forward. I'll give this another shot down the road, and hope to see some changes before then. read more

After exploring a few small local coffee shops in town, I've yet to find one that I can confidently say I'll return to. Regrettably, this place isn't for me. If you prefer light coffee with a minimalist approach, this might be the place for you. The menu is straightforward, and I decided to try their pour-over coffee,(also expensive). Unfortunately, it was watery, lacked any coffee flavor, and was served lukewarm. I also ordered an ice matcha, hoping it would be at least decent, given my previous experiences with delicious ceremonial matchas in the Bay Area. Regrettably, their ice matcha was bland and not worth the price. It went straight in the trash. We also got a pastry that was hard and stale, they didn't warm it up either it might of helped. In the meantime, I'll give down the street's new establishment that just started serving ceremonial matcha a try. One positive result was the service was good and this is a great location with plenty of room to enjoy. read more

We visited Common Craft Coffee today. Ours was a very pleasant experience. The space is welcoming, comfortable, open, nicely appointed. Nice outdoor seating choices, too. Very personable baristas. Our coffee selections included drip, cold brew, and a latte. Drip coffee is "just drip coffee", right? Not so. Rich in flavor, smooth. Each of our coffees was coffee flavor forward. I just visited and was really impressed by the friendliness of the staff as well as their knowledge of their product. They were very patient with me as I asked questions about the different drinks and strength of the coffee. They were also super sweet with my two young boys.
