Came in this morning to get a tea as I did on Tuesday morning, both mornings they were out of one of the teas. So they substitute with a syrup, on Tuesday they didn't charge for that, but today was a different story. Traffic during the weekdays -- They always have someone at the counter purchasing a drink. There are decent amount of people sitting down to study, which is the environment I like. Not very busy before closing on a weekday. Tall ceilings and next to a Chevron gas station that I like to go to. Its in a part of the mall that probably gets looked over. Not a good store to anchor and generate foot traffic in this part. Interior well decorated for Christmas - very pleasant. Clean and new as expected. Soothing colors and lights and everything else you like Starbucks for. Drink was a hot chocolate. Topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings it was really tasty. Rich chocolate flavor - a real treat. As I got to the bottom of my drink the chocolate flavor was more intense - don't think it was mixed as well as it could have been. Because it was not very busy my name was never asked for and not written on the cup. There was no confusion associated with this at all as I came in near closing time but I think its the first time ever that this was done. Its probably non standard procedure - I'm sort of used to my name being called instead of the drink name these days. Great experience during the slow time I went. I simply had the worst customer service experience at this Starbucks location. Starbucks in general are such hits and misses because of the sheer amount of them. I went to this location in the drive thru and proceeded to order a venti nitro cold brew. The guy, Nathan, read the order back as a grande and I responded, "Oh I ordered a venti." In the most condescending tone he replied, "We can't give you a large, honey..." I didn't know you couldn't order the nitro as a large, that's my bad. The way he said it to me in this mocking tone was unnecessary. I told him he didn't have to be condescending to me and he didn't stop there and continued to mock me by saying, "Oh I'm sorrrrrryyyyyy." It was so jarring to be spoken to with such blatant disregard. When we pulled to the window I asked for his name and he wouldn't acknowledge me. Ok... so since I couldn't call in because I had no name, I went inside to just tell someone what happened to me to maybe have them tell their employees to have more sensitivity towards their customers, regardless if they're having a hard day or whatever it may be. Like it's not the customer's fault you aren't in a good mood and that's all I wanted to let the manager, or whoever was in charge, know. Anyway, moving on.. Once inside the shift supervisor, Melissa, at first didn't even want to speak to me and rudely snapped at the poor barista at the register and said, "WHY does she want to talk to me?!!!" completely in front of me and incredibly loud where the whole store could hear her and looked over. Once she finally found it in her to come and speak to me, she wouldn't listen to my explanation, stared at me with a glazed over look, and sneered at me while saying, "I heard the conversation. He calls everyone honey and you have no right to be mad." And I responded, "Ok Melissa" and just walked out, completely torn apart. I have never been treated this badly in my life and I firmly believe because I am younger, a person of color, and dressed casually Melissa thought that my feelings and opinions don't matter and refused to take me seriously. I'm saddened by the whole interaction and how I was treated like my experience is invalid because apparently, according to Melissa, Nathan talks to everyone in a condescending way?? The employees perhaps need some sensitivity training, reading the other reviewers who have dealt with similar mocking/rude behavior at this location. I go to this Starbucks all the time, and honestly as a former Peet's barista, I'm just going to stick to the company I know and love (Peet's) and not ever set foot at that location again. I'm so hurt by my experience that I will drive extra just to go to a different coffee shop. I don't need to feel this way picking up a simple coffee, like it's not that wild to expect to be treated like a human being. I'm truly disappointed in Starbucks. This was a nice surprise on a cold fall morning on my morning commute. This was my first visit to this Starbucks location and I apologize if I seemed grumpy walking in but the great music and warm delicious coffee really turned my mood around. What REALLY set my mood in the right place was the friendly and upbeat barista Ronnie. She was so incredibly kind and pleasant and made me laugh when I didn't think it was possible. She clearly knows her stuff about coffee and truly values the customers that walk in and out of there. The morning was just beginning and yet she didn't miss a beat in hearing what I wanted and making sure I got it in a timely fashion. She shared with me a show she's currently in and I could totally see how she could light up a stage with such a friendly personality. I will send all my friends to this location and tell them to ask for Ronnie! She makes this location shine and I hope she's getting her flowers because homegirl is the definition of a bariSTAR. read more

This is my favorite Starbucks in the area. They make the coffee correctly 3/4 times. No one's perfect but I'll take those odds. Lol. My kid loves the coffee cake so I was choosing a proper sized startbucks location around my home, not like the ones in Safeway or Target. I came here twice and both experience made me leave with bad taste. First visit, I ordered from store. We got the cake quickly, but drink didn't come out until I wait patiently for another 25 minutes. And I asked if my drink is in the process because it seemed to me, all the other customers that came later than us received their order and left. They apologized that my order was missed out and started making one. I left the store with hot coffee with cold coffee cake, total wait time 40 minutes. Second visit, I ordered through the app in advance because my previous experience taught me so. Here's some timeline. 8:30 ordered on the app - estimate 8:44 8:43 arrived at the store, found a bag with my name but no drink 8:50 all the other customers left with their drinks so I asked where's my drink 8:51 my first drink comes out 9:00 rest of drinks came out and my first drink is quickly getting cold They have drive through, so I know the standard waiting time shouldn't be 30 minutes from the order. I see the other negative reviews about 30 min wait for drive through but that was in the middle of covid time when it was hard to find the people to work. June 2022 they are in full operation with 10+ people on the floor. At this point I should suspect there's something wrong with my name. Next time I will go to a different location where people get the drink in the order that they came in regardless of what the name sounds like. read more

I used the Starbucks app for the very first time to place an order on my phone and pick up my drinks - I had no idea it would be sooo easy to do it there especially if you liked to customize your drinks! So I ordered a Matcha Green Tea Frappucino and I substituted whole milk for 2% milk, reduced the amount of pump syrup by half, and requested additional scoops of their matcha sugar mix. And then I decided to go all the way with the size - why not, right? $5.45 for the whole drink was not bad, and the estimated wait time was only 7-10 mins. By the time I got there my drink was sitting there pretty, ready to be picked up by me. Each drink was properly labeled with your name and a description of what the drink was, so it would be so difficult to make any mistake - if you're not sure you could always ask the staff there. All I got to do was enter the store, grab my drink and leave - no human contact or interaction needed if you didn't want to. I liked how the store provided hand sanitizer inside so that was a big plus especially during the pandemic we are in now. I definitely would go back again to this store. read more

What else - it's a Starbucks. I generally get good tasting coffee at every Starbucks. It's very consistent. This review is solely on the customer experience. In-Person ordering- Very good. Always greeted with a smile In-person wait time for order- also very good. The baristas see you and know you're there watching and waiting for your drinks. They all hustle. Online ordering- Very good. Can't mess up a digital order that goes from mobile device to a screen in their store very quickly. Online pickup - lots of room for improvement. You're supposed to go to the counter for online orders. Well, there's nobody tending to the counter for pickup. Everyone is so busy with their other tasks, that checking for folks waiting for their mobile orders isn't at the top of their list. You're lucky if your wait to get someone's attention is under 3 min, and if you do, you get attitude like you're bothering them. Just the other day, I literally waited over 5 minutes to have someone acknowledge me and give me my melting frap which was made and waiting for pick up. As long as you get my order right, in a timely fashion, I'm satisfied. I've always been greeted with a smile and the baristas are also friendly. The only downfall is drive-thru on weekday mornings (before 8:30) as it does get crowded and wait time can be longer. However, I don't mind since it's more inconvenient for me to take my daughter out of her car seat and go inside just for a cup of coffee. It's hard with so many locations closing early due to labor shortage to find an open location. I think that should mean the ones that are open are offering the best service! At 645pm I got out of car & walked into the store to ask for a manager. There were 5 people in view 3 standing not doing anything Katrina came out from the back I asked her if she could have the car in front of us move so we could leave. This is my regular Starbucks. I go here almost everyday. Let's break it down... Highlights/pros: Joey... And Alison... Melissa and Cassie....All amazing friendly workers thru drive thru. And when it comes to highlights and pros it pretty much stops there. Ha. I guess the other is it has a drive thru... And many Bay Area locations don't so that's a plus...... Needs improvement: Drinks are hit or miss. I usually blame it on what seems to be a lot of new people or high turnover or whatever but today I got a venti mocha that was about half full... I can't blame that on not being trained or being new or busy. That is complete lack of care. Especially because it was a modified drink with only one pump.. So it's going to throw the whole taste off... Annoying. Would you like that?? I get a vanilla breve. They probably forget the vanilla atleast once a week. This drive thru... Can take 15+ minutes on occasion... the other day we sat forever. I blame this on all the new people working. It really seems like for the majority of the workers don't have a clue about coffee (but then again I'm from Seattle and was a barista for 6 years where we hand tamped shots etc...) sometimes you say breve and they act confused or I often get a steamer/steamed milkfor my kid and some get confused because they call it a creame and I forget... The espresso IQ here isn't very high. But once again....tons of new people... I keep going here and don't ever complain but today I wish I would have realized that the drink was half full before I got home. I'm bummed because that's inexcusable. Steam some more milk.. .. I asked for a venti not a tall in a venti cup. I will continue to go here but I do hope management trains the new staff a little bit better. NO POINT IN MOBILE ORDERING. IVE WAITED MORE THAN 10 MIN FOR ONE AND I ORDERED 10 MIN PRIOR TO ARRIVING. First of all you guys are NOT closed right now lol. I come here almost every morning because they have a drive thru. I thought drive thru's are supposed to be like you literally drive thru.. Order get your drink and be on your way, but no not this place. Super slow at the drive thru and the line is always out of the actual line if that makes sense. I came here the other day and my brownie was split in half in my bag and it literally looked like they dropped it and just put it in the bag. Which is not ok the app is supposed to be updated when the location are out of things so you don't order something that is not available. I was offered a drink or a refund. I choose to get a drink. I decided to give the cold brew a try I ordered a venti and was given a grande. Secondly the Bautista made me pay the difference for the drink..... I was in a rush and didn't was to argue so I paid the additional amount and my drink came out really well. But usually when a restaurant makes a mistake like this I would think you wouldn't charge the customer anything additional because that not what I ordered or paid for. If I would have known they didn't have the stuff for the dragon fruit drink I wouldn't have went at all. read more

This is probably the absolute worst design of a drive thru I have ever seen. The way it's set up makes it impossible for there to be more than 6 cars without totally blocking the traffic of the shopping center. I ended up waiting over 20 minutes in the drive thru and I was disappointed in my drink. I wanted to treat myself so I got a caramel frappuccino and asked for EXTRA caramel because if I'm gonna go in I'm gonna go all the way in! Lol but anyways, after waiting way too long, I get a bland tasting frappuccino with one squeeze of caramel. It was still good but not what I wanted. Also the young girl at the window was rude and didn't acknowledge me other than demanding the money. read more

Picking up mobile orders invariably requires waiting for 10 to 15 minutes *past* the expected pickup time they provide. Highly recommend dealing with the long drive-through line that clearly gets priority. read more
