I heard him while he was making my drink say oh I think she put vanilla I guess they'll find out. Which I paid extra for the vanilla so that a bit annoying not knowing if they did it. I then waited an extra five minutes waiting for my food which I then had to interrupt again to find they never put it in. They didn't seem concerned or apologetic and they were not busy. read more

No problema at this particular Starbucks. This Starbucks is way above average because it has a SUPER PATIO attached to Republic Plaza that is almost always bathed in sunlight (or, this year, rain), with many tables and umbrellas to sip your beverage and ditch work and procrastinate along the 16th Street mall. Starbucks is not normally the kind of place I'd review, but I felt inclined after several positive experiences this week. I was staying at a hotel nearby this location so I visited every morning. I can honestly say this is the best experience I've ever had at a Starbucks. Every single morning All of the staff was so upbeat, friendly, and kind, and always making sure your order was correct and you got everything you ordered. This Starbucks is right in the middle of 16th street mall and is a good pit stop if you're going to spend a day shopping among the many stores and other attractions the mall has to offer. I found this location to be much larger than most other Starbucks locations, especially downtown where real estate is a prime commodity. But I guess that's why they charge you $4 for a small cup of tea. Something that I noticed at this location is that if you want to refill your cup with water, better to get it somewhere else, since I asked to have my cup filled with water, and after handing it to the server, and having H20 written on it, it just sat there untouched for at least 5 minutes while 4 other employees, who were just standing around, looked at the cup and just ignored it. 11737 read more

Even when I have the ability to enjoy a free breakfast with coffee I still opt for my Starbucks fix. I was almost deterred from entering this location as the line seemed endless. Another person about to enter assured me the line moves fast so I entered in with the masses and got my place in line. Service was efficient and I was pleasantly surprised how quickly my beverage was made. I also noticed that this location has a larger variety of pastries if that's your thing. They set it up that way. Starbucks' architect either died halfway constructing this one, or just simply gave up and went mad repeating the same shit over and over again - just SLIGHTLY different each time. Ok, ok...yesterday I had to break down and bust out the gift card! In all honestly, I LOVE pumpkin spice lattes (although I prefer making it at home) but was craving a steamed latte. Is there any reason why people at Starbucks are so hyper,jumpy and overly welcoming? Are they taking drugs? Lining up shots of espresso? I seriously was questioning the behind the counter behavior when orders were shouted out across the room. At times there were double even triple confirmations. And, what do people order? Dare I ask? Haters be hatin'...like they've never made a mistake at their jobs before! I always figure the longer the order the bigger the as*hole. If you are upset that they messed up your venti half whip, three pump, low fat, one third hot, double light, caramel apricot mocha with heavy sprinkles then just order COFFEE! Serious lack of service here. I'm a *very* dedicated customer, evidenced by the fact that (after waiting at the counter for a couple minutes without being acknowledged once) I was able to pick out my favorite protein box and juice, scan both, charge myself by scanning the Starbucks app, and apply my own birthday free drink (also was only 13 stars shy of my gazillionth points-earned free food or drink reward this year)... all before I even heard hello. In fact, I never even heard a hello - just a mildly surprised, "Will that be all for you?" and a tepid smile from someone else crafting a frap. Why 2/5 stars? Snooty since the remodel?? I have frequented this location for years, it was recently remodeled (last month) and since then either coincidentally or not the service has been rude and atypical of this business. After today's experience I think I will hit up one of the many other options available. I was stoked there was only one person in line (which never happens) and it still took 20+ minutes to get a drink which was ultimately wrong. I was greeted with a bark that 'someone else will help you'..........uh ok. Then the cashier while friendly, charged me incorrectly, had to refund and redo and then there was a big ole line after me. No big deal, as long as it all gets processed right in the end, right? Then once my drink was ready, they set it on the counter without calling my name so I asked about it and got a grunt from the woman on the bar. There were odd toppings so I tasted my drink and it was wrong, so I asked if I could just get a free drink coupon as not to waste this creme brulee latte but she said no either they could put it in a paper cup and make me another one or just dump it and make me another drink. I asked one more time, explaining that I don't want to be wasteful but she wasn't having it. So, as I am getting frustrated I agree to redoing my drink and dumping the wrong one. But, my drink goes to the back of the line and I have to wait for a half dozen other drinks to get made to receive mine which definitely doesn't have the extra shot in it that I ordered. So all of that for a wrong, expensive drink. I have been a barista and endured the variety of great and terrible starbux employees in my day but 4 bad encounters in one visit plus an obvious attitude in the air was very off putting. I am forgiving of mistakes and understand that mornings can be crazy, but this was upsetting. Perhaps they are being managed poorly or today is particularly challenging on their end. But, the last couple of times this face lifted shop has served attitude. Ugh. read more

This is my go to Starbucks as its a 2 min walk away from my work. This location is always extremely packed during the workdays no matter what time you come in here. I've had to wait over 30 minutes for a mobile order here before due to one of the espresso machines breaking down. I know that really sucks but they should give away some gift cards or something to compensate for that. The baristas are super overworked at this location and its hit and miss if you'll get a friendly one. Luckily I use the mobile app to order so I don't really need to interact with anyone. Watch out for some interesting characters that like to hang in this one and I would never recommend using the restroom at this Starbucks or any of the ones on 16th street mall in Denver. read more

The final starbucks on the 16th st mall, closest to the capitol building, and by far the strangest! Definitely an eclectic set of people, always crowded, and the bathroom requires a code to use. Staff is beyond friendly and helpful and the coffee tastes great! This is usually where i go for a cup before my annual stair climb at the rebulic, or if we are at this end of the mall and in need of coffee! read more

By far my favorite Starbucks location. It is where you can go to have some quiet time to study, or have small chats with strangers and friends. The people here are courteous and respectful. There are so many spaces and seats so although it has history of becoming over crowded, it certainly meets its high expectations because it's one of the best Starbucks in downtown Denver. read more

On a mini-coffee-tour of LoDo today, I ended at this Starbucks. It's as industrial of a Starbucks as you can get without it being in an airport. Crowded, busy, people competing for workspace, and some amazing people watching. Ladies walking the mall in the snow with thigh-high leather boots, I salute you. The service at this Starbucks reflects the atmosphere. I can't blame them for being sort of burned-out acting. They crank out drinks with that famous Starbucks consistency, and blast the Starbucks corporate formula music as loud as can be. I'm not a loyal Starbucks patron, but I do wander in from time to time. I suppose if you have to give a bow to the corporate overlords, this location is OK just for the great people watching. read more

Probably the busiest Starbucks in Denver, on weekdays certainly, and yet the crew here is consistently on it despite the flood of business they get. Somehow they even manage to fulfill mobile orders as well. I can only credit the the highly experienced staff they've got for keeping things going the way they do. I was treated as a common criminal. I was dresssed very well for a person who sleeps ok the streets. I basthe, I shower, I am very considerate, I was raised in a living family and was taught to show everyone with love and friendliness. After being at this Stsrbucks, I had to use the Restrooom numerous times the first few times were uneventful. But when I asked the employee named ' Mully' For the bathroom code' He refused me stating I had to be a 'paying customer" in order to use the restroom. I literally had to show him my receipt and the empty cup out of the garbage to just to prove to this biased employee that I was in my full rights to use the restroom after spending over 2 hour a sitting here charging my phone. Yes' I have long hair, yea I do look like your usually hipster. But does that give them the right to single me out because of my appearance. I don't remember her name but I believe she was the Supervisor, was on the shorter side, and had these big curls, and she was phenomenal! while staying at the sheraton right across the street for work, my coworkers and i frequent this starbucks just about every morning before work. im not sure why this place is getting such bad reviews but i think this starbucks is great! i go around 730am and there's already a long line. but they know how to handle it and the line moves very fast. it is very busy and the counter is stacked with packaged food and there are two people ringing up your order. only thing is they sometimes don't get your order right. sometimes i forget to say that i don't want whip and they forget to ask so i get it. or sometimes i say i dont want it but they forget. small things. doesnt really matter to me. aint stopping me from going there. need my coffee too badly in the morning. read more
