I was sad when they removed most of the furniture, but the store has now been remodeled and looks pretty good with a decent amount of seating and an efficient layout. The store was clean and well-stocked on my latest visit. The staff was friendly and made my drink quickly. All seems well and with 16th Street now complete, I'll be visiting this spot more frequently. read more

But since they closed the Starbucks nearest to my office, this is the next best option. Service was friendly and advanced. Quality of my beverage was as expected. Quite possibly the worst Starbucks location I've ever visited. Just a vast space of emptiness for a lobby with no seating areas at all for no reason whatsoever. This location doesn't even have a public restroom available (they were locked and had signs stating this taped to the doors) This is completely unsanitary and against Starbucks corporate policy that was changed a few years back. They should just close this location down completely since there are many far superior coffee options in the immediate vicinity. I only stopped in to redeem some expiring stars, but my days of being a loyal Starbucks customer are quickly nearing the end because the value just isn't there these days. read more

Hung out in here for 3 days doing some work while my husband was at a conference nearby. The Wi-Fi was pretty solid and offered me the ability to work from my laptop for hours at a time without problems. The biggest issue is that it's centrally located in an extremely busy place. This means that finding a table and especially finding a table that offers an electric plug, is going to be exceedingly difficult. It's also pretty noisy, if you have to be on any kind of call this is not the place to do it. There are lots of people and it gets very loud so there will be a lot of background noise. I suggest headphones if you're planning on a long working session. Staff was really friendly and all my drinks were made right. It was really easy to do the pre-order as well from the app if you're sitting there on site I suggest this instead of getting back in line. It's a great way to go ahead and pay and have your order made without even having to get up except to pick it up when it's ready. They do run out of pastries and sandwiches pretty quickly at busy hours and after lunch so I suggest grabbing that earlier rather than later. Well, this is quite a disappointment! There is no seating place. The entire restaurant has been stripped of its tables. The atmosphere is therefore quite cold. On top of that since Starbucks doesn't allow you to put in your own milk sugar or whatever anymore this is no longer a great place to get a coffee. read more

Yelping is interesting. To make the chronological order of my Denver reviews spontaneous, I am using a bundle of flash cards with the names of the places that I will review. Yesterday, I shuffled the deck and picked the card saying "7-Eleven." The review I wrote focused on a beverage I brought at that business that makes me relaxed. At any rate, upon my follow up review, I shuffle the deck and flashcard ends up saying "Starbuck's." This review will focus on a business that sold a beverage that makes me awake. I am a fan of Starbuck's coffee. It was guaranteed that I was going to a Starbuck's in Denver. Starbuck's are omnipresent in downtowns to the point that I don't have to look for one because one of them will be in front of me. That was the case with this one. It was a couple of hours after landing on Colorado soil, when we set out on exploring the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall and downtown Denver. As we were progressing on the Pedestrian Mall southeast beyond the Denver Pavilions and Paramount Theater, beneath the skyline of high rises, I saw what appeared to be the grandest Starbuck's ever. I was like, "Wow! A three level Starbuck's?!" It was an illusion. This Starbuck's is one level on the ground floor of a multi story building. However, it does have a grand patio. This is a happening Starbuck's. We'd wait on a fast moving line. When it came time to order, I handed the busy Barista $2.11 for a tall cup of coffee which in Starbuck's lingo is a small 12 ounce coffee. I'd wait on line again for the refill. There was barely a wait to use the restroom that required a code for access. We'd spend the majority of our time here at the outside seats. They offered a far better Starbuck's experience than the ones inside. These were the front row seats to the admission of the constant real life movie starring the hundreds of people passing by on the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall. Being surrounded by high rises including a gigantic Sheraton, I felt the highvenergy level of a major city. I sipped, savored, and saw. The most memorable site that I saw from my sidewalk table took place in the evening hours. Speaking of evening, this location was open when several of the competitors closed for the night. It was in the evening when the lamp posts along the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall illuminated the road all the way to the Millennium Bridge. Alongside this Starbuck's between illuminated lamp posts stands a piano. It is a colorful piano that reminds me of the instrument John Lennon played in "I am the Warlrus." It is common to see street performers at this piano serenade passers-by. On the other hand, it is uncommon to see a Subway employee get off his shift (Subway is a couple of stores away) then serenade the passers-by at this colorful piano. During my most memorable moments here, the just got off work Subway employee turned pianist, performed the soundtrack of the real life movie starring the hundreds of passers-by under the lights of Denver. Another thing I want to bring up is that this is the last Starbuck's on the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall before the State Capital Building and Civic Center Park. It is a relatively short walk to the center of City, County, and State Government. Based on this review, the hypothesis is this location's greatest advantage is the prime outdoor seating alongside the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall that captures the high energy of downtown Denver. read more

The lady one person was working out of three of them to help customers and the rest of them. We're ignoring customers someone to people got served ahead of me, and I had a very simple drink. they made me wait and they made me late for work not very professional not very customer service oriented. Expect to spend 10 to 15 minutes here if you're ordering and picking up your drink. If you're in a hurry, use the mobile ordering system with the Starbucks app because somehow - magically - the baristas still manage to keep up with mobile orders really well. As long as you show up within the app's "finished drink" window, you can grab your drink and go really easily. That being said, that 10 to 15 minutes is decently fast for the crowd that constantly gathers here. This is, by far, the busiest Starbucks I've seen - ever - with about 50 to 60 people packed into this building almost every time I come. There's usually 2 people running registers, all the time, with 4 to 5 employees constantly churning out drinks. Employees are still nice to you, don't seem super run down or frazzled, and for the insane crowd they have here, manage to keep up surprisingly well. If you're looking to sit somewhere, quietly, and do work, this is not the location. Baristas are constantly yelling (and I mean yelling) out names. The chatter from all of the people easily reaches the "can't talk to a person across the table" loudness. This Starbucks, while convenient and useful for downtown coffee, does not offer the soft, relaxing vibe that I'm used to from Starbucks locations. It's also worth noting that the restrooms here require a passcode to use them. While this isn't an issue for paying customers, it does become bothersome when staff's attention is being dragged away every couple minutes by a customer asking for the passcode - especially with Starbucks' recent statement about having an open restroom policy. There are some outdoor tables right outside the Starbucks location, so that's helpful if you'd like to do work and the weather is permissible. This Starbucks is also located right across the street from the Pavillion Mall and right along the 16th Street Free Mall Bus. So, not your average, calm Starbucks experience, but with the traffic, there's no way they can be. If you need your grab-and-go java fix, though, this location does it surprisingly well for the amount of people that shuffle through. read more

This Starbucks is definitely not my favorite. It's convenient if you happen to be in or around downtown. It's a fairly large location as well. But every time I have visited, it's incredibly crowded and cacophonous. I often notice dirty tables as well. It's just not a pleasant place to be. I have no idea how people get work or reading done here. Ordering always takes awhile, and then waiting for your drink does too. In my experience, this just isn't a Starbucks where you can quickly get in and out. When I was recently in this area for jury duty I walked by this Starbucks, took one look at the chaos inside, and opted to go to a nearby gas station for my caffeine fix instead. No, the coffee probably wasn't as good, but at least I didn't have to fight crowds or wait for several minutes. I would say that about sums up my feelings about this location. read more

Super disorganized. The employees were all shouting about who had a mobile order and it seemed like they were just confused. I waited SO LONG for my mobile order and they had to ask me 3 times for my name. Once I got my ICED London fog it was still warm, and the barista added like 1/4 a scoop of ice so it melted by the time I got out the door. Had to add my own ice because it was literally warm. Normally I love this Starbucks. Today I went it and went to the mobile counter. They didn't address me I had to interrupt their conversation. I heard him while he was making my drink say oh I think she put vanilla I guess they'll find out. Which I paid extra for the vanilla so that a bit annoying not knowing if they did it.
