As a reserve member of Starbucks this is one of my favorite locations to stop by. Although just down the way you can find a drive thru, a couple other shops and let's not forget the recently opened EV charging Starbucks, this spot is best. I usually only order ahead and my drinks are ready within 3-5 minutes. The baristas here have never made a bad drink for me and I drink a variety from coffees to teas! They are consistent in taste here and do a fantastic job creating customizations for your drink. They run a little on the sparse side for in store merchandise, but have plenty of offerings in the bakery. The place is always clean, never too packed, and the staff are ready to greet you right away. The store has an angular dining area and is smaller than the average Starbucks. Definitely a more friendly atmosphere; welcoming for all, as I have noted on several occasions the same gentleman having a drink in the corner with several bags near him. I highly recommend ordering ahead through the app and earning your stars through the rewards they have as this will save you money and Starbucks tends to be a little pricier. read more

This is still a nice Bumbucks even though homeless camp here. They have two comfortable chairs and a bum had one lucky I got the other. As soon as he left another bum took his place. There was another bum on the patio with a wagon loaded with his junk. Service is good, everyone was nice. They do have outlets for your electronics. read more

I feel sort of bad that they are open on thanksgiving but it is definitely a plus that they are available to those around the area on the holiday. The coffee is extremely mediocre, which is probably on par with most Starbucks store but very consistent and tasted as expected. The associates were relatively nice, as I asked for a straw and the associate helped grab me one, only for me to realize as I was leaving that there were straws at a separate station. The store itself looks clean and inviting and there were several transient people in the corner of the store keeping to themselves. I keep forgetting how much pricing has increased, as a tall coffee with extra shot of espresso is now $5.50, which just hurts. Overall, probably would not return to a Starbucks unless I'm in a pinch for caffeine. read more

Spent about $40 here on a drink and a Starbucks cup. When we asked to use the restroom, the employee with blue hair told us it was "out of order." A few minutes later, we watched another customer get let in with no issue. When I asked again where the nearest bathroom was, the same employee hesitated for a long moment and then suddenly said we could use it after all. The inconsistency made the situation really uncomfortable, especially as paying customers. Not sure what was going on, but the interaction felt off. This was on 11/16/2025 at around 2:40 PM. Worst Starbucks I have ever been to in my life! We did a mobile order and it took 20 minutes still to get! They made my order wrong and made one of my drink iced. Pluses: Nice people work here. One of the best people/traffic watching locations right on a busy intersection. They have regulars that just sit here all the time to pass time. Bad Stuff: One of the worst parking lots I have ever seen for a Starbucks or any shopping. Tiny spaces with limited room to back up and traffic entering off of 17th makes for a situation where there is a higher than usual likelihood your car will get damaged in some fashion. I recommend parking on the street if possible and walking it back over if you have to come here. I think that group of regulars just likes watching the parking excitement all day. read more

I should've checked Yelp before coming here and had I seen the 3 stars I would've kept on driving. To start, you get service with an attitude. Why can't people just be courteous and kind. If the bathroom is a reflection of the cleanliness of this establishment, avoid at all cost. After using the restroom, I went to let the workers know that the restroom was filthy. Worker's response: "that's pretty much the reason we have an employee bathroom, because the other one is public, so it's pretty much up to the customers". My reply: "to clean it?" Worker's reply: "yeah, to keep it clean". My reply: "things must have changed because I worked for Starbucks and recall us having to clean the restrooms" Worker's reply: "well yeah, I just haven't gotten to it". Yelp 2017 100 challenge: I came here and decided to do some work before attending a meeting. The location here is interesting inita layout. Its small, and splits into two sections with tiny tables for 2. There are charging stations at this location but like the space, those stations are also limited. If you are lucky you can score a table with the charging station to do work. Their chocolate crossiants ( heated) were reallly good and inviting with the vanilla late needed to jumpstart my day. The service is friendly. There is a tiny patio outside if you want to enjoy the sunny weather of newport beach. Overall, If u need to go in and out its an option. I would seek another location if one wanted to study or want a spot with better parking and traffic options. The parking here is extremely small and limited for this location. So, it is tricky coming in and out of this location. read more
