UPDATE 8/13: Attached is the private message I got on yelp from "Shannon" the barista. It's very incredulous to believe this young man has "sexually harassed and groped employees and customers" yet still be allowed in the store. Having been a restaurant manager for 10 years if I felt fearful of someone abusing or harassing my staff or customers the individual would be banned from the store. So no, I do not believe this employee. And there was no "rudely interrupting". As a customer I made a comment that staff should keep their dialogue to the break room so customers did not have to hear. There was no "conversation" until I was leaving and had the barista tell me "to be fair, we've been dealing with him for a long time". What defending did they need to do? Is talking badly about an individual "protecting themselves?". I am an educated individual and telling me I'm "Spouting ignorant nonsense" goes to show the lack of character of this employee. I did NOT berate anyone. I advocated for respect for customers whether it was the ones who had to hear the staff and for individuals who are treated with disrespect. WARNING LONG RANT! I cannot tell you how disgusted I was with the employees at this Starbucks. I went in at 2:30PM expecting a little bit of a wait due to their HH special. The cashier was great, very patient w/suggestions as I never know what I want. After waiting for a few minutes a young man walked up to the side of the barista area asking for a cup of water (it was 90 degrees outside). It was apparent he was special and was not being rude or loud. The barista quickly (& rudely) told him she was busy and he needed to order it from the front. Understandable since it looked like she was the only one making drinks. Then he waved over who looked like a supervisor who had been standing towards the back, if he could get s cup of water, she also stated he needed to go up to the front. Not a big deal. The young man walked through the cafe as he was leaving telling ppl "Jesus loves you". It was upon his exit that these ugly employees (except the cashier) started talking badly about him, how they're "always dealing with him", how he always comes in asking for water, how he always asks for bags, how always asks them questions.. not only were they complaining of this young man & that they were tired of his visits but now the whole cafe was aware of how they thought of this young man. I couldn't stand hearing this. I went to the cashier area and said "excuse me but you might want to be professional and keep this conversation for when you're on break. Customers don't need to hear you complain about the young man." It was obvious their conversation then turned about me as they started talking under their breath. Not to mention when the supervisor asked one of the employees to assist at the bar and she rudely replied that if she wasn't busy already she'd be helping and the barista saying " so & so your SIX drinks are still here" (could have been an app order). Obviously no respect or teamwork amongst each other. Then before I left the barista had the audacity to tell me "to be fair we've been dealing with him for a long time". What is wrong with these people?? To be fair?? "To be fair" how would they want their cousin/brother/friend be treated? Would they want him disrespected just because he may not be like everyone else?? Starbucks needs to hire staff who want to provide customer service and be trained on how to be respectful and TOLERANT of all people. I will not be visiting this location again. And based on Yelp reviews I'm not the only person who's had a bad experience. read more

Had known about this Starbucks location for awhile but never got a chance to visit until a friend suggested this corner of the plaza. She wanted Frostbites and I wanted coffee so this was the perfect spot to meet. This location is a bit on the smaller side, with only a few seating options available as compared to other Starbucks locations. The store is pretty narrow and long. Parking can also be a bit difficult with so many restaurants and stores around so good luck! The lines moved quite quickly the day we were there and everything was well stocked. We were lucky that the 2 sofa chairs were available as there was nowhere else to sit on the inside. The small table was a bit dirty so I had to clean it up prior to sitting but other than that, just thankful to have seats inside. My go to drink these days is Pike Place, with a bit of room for cream. Not so much a fan of the sweeter drinks anymore. read more

Just trying to order a Dark roast coffee, the employee told me that they only have Pike and ready to pour it out, I asked if she can make it as others Starbucks (we have like 6 Starbucks around my area) normally did when they were out. She said NO. Really??? I have NEVER had a problem of ordering a coffee from Starbucks regardless of what time of the day it was. The service was fair. This was the first Starbucks to have the strawberry cake pop. So that made my son super happy. He said the top looks like boogers. LOL. Sadly the flavor was not as good as I was hoping and I don't think we are get that again. I ordered a grande iced caramel macchiato with 1% milk and I am not to happy with the flavor is seemed stronger than normal. As for the atmosphere it is the same as any Starbucks. Love this Starbucks location because it is so spacious! If there is no room inside, you can sit outside. There are tables with umbrellas and a small fountain. There is also a fire place outside which is turned on at night. It has a nice ambiance. This location is a good place to study, read a book, or just catch up with friends over coffee. There are some soft seats inside and free wifi. My favorite drink is the ice caramel macchiato with soy. Service is quick and the staff is friendly. If you have the Starbucks app, you can place a mobile order and it will be ready when you arrive. read more

It's a NO for me!! Went in today about 5 minutes ago and the lady taking my order was very nice...However, the lady making the drinks is a completely different story. She had short, shoulder length, red hair and glasses. I don't know if she was a manager or what, but her attitude stinks. From her rudely telling the cashier that she rung something up wrong, to her making my drink wrong and having an attitude that I told her it was wrong, and finally her walking away when I was explaining to her that she should have a more positive attitude because we( the customers) have done nothing wrong to her to deserve being addressed like that. Quick and friendly and a convenient location. The barista understood what I wanted when I asked for my skinny green tea latte and confirmed it before finalizing. My drink was prepared quickly and I was able to be on my way within minutes. I came at an off-peak time tho...roughly around 10AM, so I'm not sure how this place can be during the morning rush. I'll know soon enough tho I'm sure as I'll be around the are more frequently. The table setup is different from other spots I've seen; there's like a bigger table area and some small ones peppered around the windows. Most of the table seating seems to be outside. parking is convenient, but I can see it getting worse because it's shared with all the other restos and shops nearby. read more

The baristas were great and made my order to my exact specifications I always feel very rude when I customize my drinks but they made me feel okay with doing that. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. Like the picture shows it was a GREAT drink despite their sticker machine being down. :( However when I recently went to this Starbucks I felt very uncomfortable by another customer. I can only imagine what the baristas could feel if that were a regular customer. I'm just glad that the supervisor, I think her name was Shannon(?), was there to handle everything and made me feel like the priority as a customer. 3 starts only because the barista at register, (blonde guy with glasses) was helpful. I was the only person in line, couldn't decide, and didn't want to make the guy that just walked in wait for me. After he ordered I decided on what I wanted and ordered. The order on my drink label is correct. The order I received not so much. The fact that the barista on bar (dark haired guy with glasses slightly shorter than register guy) made drinks for 4 other customers behind me first, also no so correct. He messed up my drink by putting regular milk instead of soy so dumped it. Went to pull a new add shot for me and made two waters while waiting for the shot to pull. Then he made a green tea frappuccino. Then a tea for another customer Then anpther tea for yet another customer. Finally, it gets to be my turn. He adds the comppnents to the blender, then the creme base and checks the drink label one more time and sets it to blend. Oops, you forgot the pump of caramel I requested and paid for. Thanks for that. I guess in the future ill stick to the other location next to sestan to avoid the hopes of placing an order and actually receiving that order. Dear management. I used to really like this location. This visit was very different. I ordered online, but when I arrived I waited over 10 more minutes. I watched tons of people get their coffee in line and walk out, but whenever I asked about my coffee they said there were a lot ahead of me. He was rude, I asked him if they have Sugar or creamer bar, so in return he handed me 3 sugar bags. So now he is rushing through my order, so when I recurved my order my Carmel macchiato tasted like sh**. So now I'm rushing to the Doctor's. And I wanted to munch on warm chocolate cookie, and guess what??? STILL WRAPED IN PLASTIC. I've been to so many Starbucks and they've NEVER EVER served their products in plastic wrap, they've always take them out of the wrapping. Five stars today! I was really impressed with the barista who prepared my coffee today. I ordered the dark roast and it was wonderful. It was actually perfect. I usually order on the app from various Starbucks locations and so often I get "we don't have dark roast" and it turns into a long discussion and grumpy faces. I know they don't keep a pot ready after a certain time in the morning but can always do a pour over. And if One orders on the app (and pays) one should be able to except that it will be available. Well today was an exception and I was pleasantly greeted as well. He even seemed to know I wanted cream on the side ! Another barista fetched my sugar plum danish and she was very pleasant as well. Father's Day. I was on my way down to Escondido 'cause... well, long story. I was along the 71 when I started to doze a little bit, but coming up on Chino Hills, I knew there would be a Starbucks somewhere among the relatively new shopping plazas they've recently put in, so I jump on my GPS and search for the nearest Starbucks for a pick-me-up. Probably a newer Starbucks because it was in one of the new shopping developments that Chino and Chino Hills are building all along this small stretch of the 71 freeway. Just your average Starbucks. Tables here, tables there, couches in the corner, shelf of coffee makers and mugs off to one side. The lone barista was pleasant and helped me out right away. I went for a venti iced mocha. As soon as I pulled out my Starbucks Gold card, he immediately said "Ah, that'll be 39 cents off" and I handed him a $5. I commented how it was cool that he knew exactly how much off it would be. I think most baristas just don't really pay attention and swipe the card. He also noticed that my card was cracking from all that stress my big ass has been putting on it while it's been in my wallet, so he recommended I call corporate and see if they could send me a new card. While I was waiting for him to make my drink, he made small talk and asked me what I was up to for that day. I told him I was heading to Escondido and he responded, "Oh, I can't think of many things worse than going to Escondido". I just laughed. He handed my drink and I was off. I will have you all know that babied that thing half way to Escondido and it was enough to keep me awake on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Happy Father's Day!!! read more

When I go to Starbucks, it is usually to study, so this is what this review is going to be based on. First things first, their drinks are usually, if not always, made perfectly. I always get their green tea lemonade or black tea with strawberry and it's always an even balanced of sweet and tart. I'm not a huge coffee buff, but very sensitive to it. So to say that I enjoy the way they make their drinks is pretty big win for them. Customer service: I've never had any attitude from any of the baristas, except for my recent visit when one of the older looking ladies gave me my drink. No eye contact, no smile, barked my order out loud, and was just terrible over all. I didn't catch her name, but she was just surprisingly rude. Ambiance: It's a great place to relax and read or catch up with a friend, but terrible to study at. All the study tables with outlets are right next to the entrance. This location is always busy, so when people walk in and out constantly, the fan on top of the entrance doors makes an obnoxious and annoying whirr that makes me want to pull my hair out. I understand it's to keep the flies and or whatever, but it's my only complaint. read more

Honestly I loved this Starbucks but it has gotten go unorganized and they don't seem to mind that they turned off their mobile orders and didn't give a reason I went once on my lunch and they had sold the salad that I had already paid for online they said "sorry about that" like I wanted what I had already paid for and they couldn't place it aside. Funny enough, I'm not a Starbucks fan but the baristas were very friendly, had great energy and gave top notch service with a nice layout as I sat there studying all day. I ordered the breakfast wrap with the eggs and sun-dried tomatoes..and was offered siracha which added a nice touch because I wasn't aware they had siracha;) I also ordered my regular hot chai tea with soy and later the cascara which was a nice change. It was subtle in flavor. Not too sweet. I could have sworn there were tea biscuits in there. lol Definitely one of my favorite locations to study in. I will definitely be back! read more

I always have a good customer experience but I just had the worst customer service at any Starbucks I've ever been to. I opened up yelp before I even finished up my order. Julie is so rude, she did not greet me she just stared at me. As I made my order she barely said anything and had this horrible mean mug face the whole time. What is that? Your job is to greet, take an order, ring it up, then make the drink. Ridiculous dude. This is not a reflection of any other worker, just her. The drive thru at this location isn't the fastest but the customer service was great. I had trouble making a right into the drive thru and had to loop around the parking lot to correctly angle my car. We ordered a black iced coffee and a spice flat white. We had no idea what the spice component was and the person manning the drive thru took the time to describe it which is much appreciated. The wait time was about 15 minutes but at least I never had to leave my car! I asked the barista at the window if they had sold straws to replace the ones for the venti cold cup they sell and she took the time to ask her coworkers. It's probably customers like me slowing down the line. Oops, sorry!!! The flat white was awesome! It had just the right amount of sweetener to hit the spot but not enough to spike my insulin.
