This cute shop is clean and very aesthetic. I will be back for sure. You already know what I came for... the HALO HALO. I was surprised to see that they had other ube and Filipino treats. I honestly did not do my research before coming... an Instagram post sent me, so I just ordered the one item (two of them, actually). My husband and I came here today for the first time. I had "The Rosie" (milk tea with rose water syrup) and he had a regular jasmine iced tea. Both were good. 7/19/25 Okay, halo-halo was calling me all week, today's your lucky day, I responded! Sydney is so sweet & helpful while taking my order. She made my special treats too, with a smile. I ordered a regular halo-halo (and unknowingly the owner said, to try the upside down halo-halo wink-wink) and being greedy, ordered the Ube matcha latte too. I was eyeing the Ube leche flan cupcakes then my eyes wandered to one fun, Ube crack cheesecake. I need to be blindfolded next time. lol. This shop is somewhat lost in a nondescript little strip of businesses but inside is cute with nice aesthetics, a few tables, chairs & some comfy couches to enjoy your sweets. Their drinks are consistently good and the sizes are generous. They also have daily $3 deals for a large drink, which is such a great value. I come here about once a week whenever I'm craving milk tea or iced coffee. Ordering through the kiosk is quick and easy, and the drinks usually come out really fast. I ordered my usual Rosie milk tea. It tasted different from the Chino and Cerritos location, but it wasn't bad. Workers were friendly. If I lived in the area, it would definitely be my study spot but the hours are not the greatest. No early bird nor late night study sessions here. First time coming here. I ordered the Uber latte and their Uber cheesecake and Uber flan. Both desserts were very rich. The Uber flan was over a mini Ube cupcake. The flan itself was not flavored though. They were both good to try but a little too sweet for me The Uber latte was freaking amazing though! I really enjoyed that. I've tried 3 things and the top drink is the upside down halo halo Matcha milkshake I got without the cookie crumbles and it was okay. Not bad. The mais con Yelo was not as expected. Considered more of a savory drink. The vanilla base was very light. Not sweet like the halo halo. The corn is good. Maybe if you mix it, it tastes better. Still didn't work for us. Upside down halo halo is very good. What I expected, maybe more. My husband said he didn't want a drink and would maybe take a bite of the ice cream. He ended up finishing half my drink. The Upside Down Halo Halo ($10.50) is unique and delicious. I waited seven minutes. I arrived on a weekday (around 3:00PM). Unlike ordinary Halo Halos, this beverage is more reminiscent of a shake with add-ons. Instead of crushed ice, the drink flows like thick, velvety ube milk. It includes silky ice cream; light, crunchy flakes; heavy, deep flan; and bouncy, bottom toppings. It's a myriad of prominent, complimentary flavors and textures. I have loved Cafe 86 for years. From high school to now, the quality has stayed amazing. The regular halo halo and upside down halo halo are always the best treats on a hot summer day. I love anything ube, so I like the upside down halo halo more. Their pastries are also phenomenal from the ube crack cheesecake to the cupcakes. You really can't go wrong with any of the food products. They also have drinks, milkshakes and coffee. We've been returning customers since they opened their first restaurant in Chino. Ube truffles are the best! I've tried several of their teas but nothing I wanted to buy again. Their ube latte had a hint of ube flavor but mostly milk. They are usually busy from all the times we've been here and the service is okay. The restroom is located towards the back of the building and there's even a free little library back there. Wednesday May 7, 2025 Ambiance. Upon arriving to the location, I was able to find parking nearby. Since they do share the area with other businesses you may have to find parking that's not necessarily in front of the establishment. Upon entering, the location, they have chill vibe to the place. It can sit about 15-25 people give or take. This would be an ideal spot for studying or having a small business meeting as it not too loud. When entering, you could opt in to using an upright standing kiosk to place your order or speak to one of the hosts who would be happy to help you. Next to the register are the different and delectable types of desserts they have to offer as well as two big screens displaying what they have on their menu. I was also able to check out their restroom and it looked clean and well maintained as did their establishment as a whole. In the establishment, they have free WiFi and complimentary water as well that you could enjoy. Service: Today I was serviced by Jesse. He gave his service with a smile and was knowledgeable about the menu and what they had to offer. I told him I was looking for an Ube blended type of drink and he offered to have me try the Ube Monster Milkshake. I also opted in to get an Ube dessert and asked to him to give me the Ube butter bar. He serviced me courteously and with a positive attitude. Well done! Food: Once again, I was able to get the Ube Monster Milkshake and the Ube Butter Bar. I normally like to get these drinks with almond milk and was happy to hear that they had this as an option. The milkshake was light in taste and to my delight, had Oreo crumbles on the top and bottom of the drink. Additionally, I ordered the Ube Butter Bar. The taste is also light where both the top and bottom portion of the bar compliment each other quite nicely. The bottom portion is of a cookie like nature while the top Ube portion is of a cream cheese esque type of feel. Both tasted quite pleasant. I look forward to trying the other desserts they have in the near future. Overall, I would definitely check this place out again and hope that you do as well.
