This cute shop is clean and very aesthetic. I will be back for sure. You already know what I came for... the HALO HALO. I was surprised to see that they had other ube and Filipino treats. I honestly did not do my research before coming... an Instagram post sent me, so I just ordered the one item (two of them, actually). I have to try more next time because after seeing the menu, I wanted more. The Halo Halo had flan, corn flakes, ube ice cream and other jiggly things inside it. 7/19/25 Okay, halo-halo was calling me all week, today's your lucky day, I responded! Sydney is so sweet & helpful while taking my order. She made my special treats too, with a smile. I ordered a regular halo-halo (and unknowingly the owner said, to try the upside down halo-halo wink-wink) and being greedy, ordered the Ube matcha latte too. I was eyeing the Ube leche flan cupcakes then my eyes wandered to one fun, Ube crack cheesecake. I need to be blindfolded next time. lol. This shop is somewhat lost in a nondescript little strip of businesses but inside is cute with nice aesthetics, a few tables, chairs & some comfy couches to enjoy your sweets. The regular halo-halo was so so good! My husband and I came here today for the first time. I had "The Rosie" (milk tea with rose water syrup) and he had a regular jasmine iced tea. Both were good. I love the taste of rose water so I would probably ask them to add a little more of that the next time, but I could still taste it. Super friendly staff and easy parking. read more

I absolutely love the daily special drinks at cafe 86! You can't beat the price ($3.50) and the drinks are refreshing and not overly sweet. I usually place the order online but they also have a kiosk in store where you can browse and place your order. Their drinks are consistently good and the sizes are generous. They also have daily $3 deals for a large drink, which is such a great value. I come here about once a week whenever I'm craving milk tea or iced coffee. Ordering through the kiosk is quick and easy, and the drinks usually come out really fast. Was in the area house shopping. I was delighted that there was cafe 86 nearby. I didn't know the Chino shop relocated to here until I arrived. I have good memories of the Chino location. I ordered my usual Rosie milk tea. It tasted different from the Chino and Cerritos location, but it wasn't bad. Workers were friendly. If I lived in the area, it would definitely be my study spot but the hours are not the greatest. No early bird nor late night study sessions here. First time coming here. I ordered the Uber latte and their Uber cheesecake and Uber flan. Both desserts were very rich. The Uber flan was over a mini Ube cupcake. I've tried 3 things and the top drink is the upside down halo halo Matcha milkshake I got without the cookie crumbles and it was okay. Not bad. The mais con Yelo was not as expected. Considered more of a savory drink. The vanilla base was very light. Not sweet like the halo halo. The corn is good. Maybe if you mix it, it tastes better. Still didn't work for us. Upside down halo halo is very good. What I expected, maybe more. My husband said he didn't want a drink and would maybe take a bite of the ice cream. He ended up finishing half my drink. The Upside Down Halo Halo ($10.50) is unique and delicious. I waited seven minutes. I arrived on a weekday (around 3:00PM). Unlike ordinary Halo Halos, this beverage is more reminiscent of a shake with add-ons. Instead of crushed ice, the drink flows like thick, velvety ube milk. It includes silky ice cream; light, crunchy flakes; heavy, deep flan; and bouncy, bottom toppings. It's a myriad of prominent, complimentary flavors and textures. Cafe 86 (Chino Hills) displayed a charming, faux-rustic ambiance. The brick walls and hanging lanterns are pleasant and attractive. It's clean and well-ventilated. I have loved Cafe 86 for years. From high school to now, the quality has stayed amazing. The regular halo halo and upside down halo halo are always the best treats on a hot summer day. I love anything ube, so I like the upside down halo halo more. Their pastries are also phenomenal from the ube crack cheesecake to the cupcakes. You really can't go wrong with any of the food products. They also have drinks, milkshakes and coffee. Went to this location a few months ago. My daughter wanted to food hop in Chino Hills for her birthday. Cafe 86 is a dream and is an Ube Lover's Paradise!! This shop is a little small but has a few seating areas as well as sofas and a shelf w various board games. We got the ube flan cupcakes, ube butter bars, ube truffle, ube cheesecake, ube tres leches, ube Latte, ube monster milkshake, and ube upside down halo halo. All were yummy delicious. My favorite was the ube tres leches: not too sweet, the leches had very good ube flavor and the cashew sprinkles gave it a hint of nutty flavor. We've been returning customers since they opened their first restaurant in Chino. Ube truffles are the best! I've tried several of their teas but nothing I wanted to buy again. Their ube latte had a hint of ube flavor but mostly milk. They are usually busy from all the times we've been here and the service is okay. First time at their new location. It's somewhat hidden, compared to their old location, and my grumpy husband circled the shopping center a couple times before we found it lol. This location is much bigger, with more seating areas (counter/bar seats near the entrance as well as table seating along the side of the cafe). I arrived about 20 minutes before closing and was greeted by both employees. I opted for 3 halo-halos and a peach mango green tea. I was able to customize the halo halo to my sister's liking (no boba, jackfruit or nata) without any problem. The halo halo was as sweet and as delicious as I remembered.
