I went here because I received a gift card for Christmas, and I have to say--the energy drink I ordered was really, really good. It had dried orange slices in it and was green, though I can't remember the name. Either way, it was tasty and delicious, and I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, it took forever for them to make my drink. It got to the point where I was almost ready to cancel my order and leave, especially since there weren't many customers there at the time. I also tried to order some food, but they told me they were out of what I wanted, which was disappointing. So I ended up just getting my drink and leaving. Dropped in today right after work. I was craving some karate chicken and a cold fruit tea. I asked for spice level 2 and it was extra spicy today lol the teas we ordered today were Tea to mango 20oz. The service was quick this time around. I thought the karate chicken came with basil and to my surprise it wasn't in it. It gives it this special flavor. Seating area was available. We were all waiting for our drinks to go. I feel like the large karate chicken size went down. The last time I got it took me half a day to finish it ahahahah. UPDATE - 2025 Tastea (Chino Hills) improved. I had a pleasant experience. Customers walked in and out; location is clean; and service is welcoming. Unlike prior, the location now smelled honey-like. The music is light. It was cozy. I ordered the Avocado Avalanche (Large, 50% Sweetness - $9.50). The drink is humongous. I waited five minutes and 43 seconds. The cashier (Audrine) is helpful and professional. The Avocado Avalanche is tasty. It's smooth, refreshing, and tastes of chill avocados. Very enjoyable. Came here one day after our lunch at Ray's duck resto. Ordered 2 drinks, I can't remember their names, lol and they were excellent! Probably the best boba I ever bought to date! It was so goooood period! What I also like about this place is that they have bigger sizes available and will really satisfy your sugar cravings. Diabetics beware, lol! I am not from chino hills, but hopefully we get one here in san fernando valley area. Service is quick and friendly staff here. Place is ok, nothing fancy. read more

I love this place down and always grab a boba and coffee for my husband , the last two times I've came here I've gotten either old boba or overcooked boba . The consistency of freshness hasn't been great . The drink is that had first was the Matcha Thai milk tea was too much of the Thai milk tea so it over powered the matcha drinks but it was okay. But then in couples days or so I order this drink called Pandas Matcha drinks was so delicious , tasty , and very yummy that I wanted it more. This place is unique. They have various flavors and a delicious taste of drinks. Sizes can be very huge and they OFFER giant tea jugs like for parties. This was probably the best Thai milk tea I've ever had. It was extremely delicious and the whole process was very quick. The service was very good and the wait time was little to none. The Thai milk tea tasted great and the boba pearls were perfectly cooked. I've not had many bobas that taste at the same level as this one. When Tastea in Chino Hills first opened, I remember going here a lot. My go to was always Peachme Sweetea. I stopped going to Tastea for about 2-3 years since it was always out of my way, but now that my daughter goes to school in Chino Hills, we finally went back and now I can't stop! Their Karate Chicken and Buttload'a fries are soo good! The seasoning is delicious and so addicting. The fries texture is different for other places and I love everything about it. But I will say my kids (3&5) aren't the biggest fan since the seasoning is a little too much for them. I've tried all their Specialteas & Slushy Freeze drinks and you can't go wrong with any of them, but the Peachme flavor is still my favorite. Order online so you don't have to wait around. I'm completely addicted to their teas. I love that they use fruit juices instead of syrups. I also love that their sizes (regular and large) are bigger than other tea shoppes. It's a plus that you can customize your own teas and juices here. My go to is mango and peach green tea but I've tried many of their signature drinks like Lychee Peachee, Bootea Shaker, Peach Me Sweetea, Mango Tea To, Strawberry Sensation and they're all so good. I always opt for Med Sweet so my drinks have a more prominent tea taste. I recommend picking up their popcorn chicken and crispy fries, there's a little wait but they're delicious and are great for snacking! The drinks usually come out quick. I started using their app so I'm always in and out. I'm a HUGE fan of the Tastea fries. That alone gives them a 5 stars! The drinks are what most people review on, but the fries are definitely where it's at! The crunch, the flavor, everything is absolute perfection. Highly recommend ordering on the app so you don't have to wait as long in person. Personally, I also ask for less seasoning in the notes because sometimes it's too salty for my liking. I'm glad they are able to adjust per customer. For their drinks, you also can't go wrong. Just to preface this, I'm currently pregnant and unable to keep most solid food down, so this makes it all the more disappointing. The drinks themselves are fine and consistent, so this review is mostly about the service. Last Saturday I stopped in on my lunch hour to grab a smoothie and the place was quite busy, but also seemed adequately staffed to accommodate the amount of customers/rush. I waited in line behind a gentleman who seemed to be placing an order for a complete meal + drinks, and after a few minutes, he completed his transaction and took a seat to wait. As soon as I stepped up to the counter, the employee (young Asian girl) immediately walked off without a word. Not an "excuse me, I'll be right with you" or "one second please" she didn't even attempt to make eye contact. She apparently went to go help her other (2 male) coworkers with a drink machine or something. I lingered for a few seconds but the longer I waited without an explanation or someone coming to assist me, the angrier I got. I left without a word because they honestly didn't deserve my dollars or my emotional response. I would hope that in the future, they'll use this review as a guide to improving their customer service across the board. It's been a week and I'm still thinking about just how rude that was. And as someone who's worked customer service for 15+ years, I'd never even think about being that rude or making my customers feel that way and leaving an unsavory taste in their mouth. read more

Tried Tastea's new promo Jujutsu Rice Bowl, which is their karate or karaage chicken with rice, corn and some Wu sauce. Fair amount of rice and crispy chicken. Loved the Wu sauce - a sweet, thick caramelized dark sauce, similar to the taste of teriyaki or Hoisin sauce. Spice level is a 2 for me, since I can't handle too much heat on my food. I love Tastea and the green Boba pearls. The one I frequent is in Irvine and the customer service is awesome. I love their popcorn chicken and calamari. The icing on the cake is the rewards points you get each visit to add up to eventually get a free drink or money towards your future order. I been coming here for years. I love the jasmine milk tea with crystal boba- the 32oz. I especially like the customer service here. My husband made an order today and was a bit high maintenance and they accommodated us so well. I did not know what he was requesting I just went to pick it up and the girl and boy working were very kind and helpful and then when I read the receipt I was embarrassed. Thank you so much Tastea. Cashier Service - Cashier taking order should ask your choice of sauce (all other places do - especially helps customers with to-go orders) Managerial service - Discovered we didn't have any sauce when I arrived home with my order. I called, I was basically told it was my fault for not remembering to order the sauces. She told me that all food come with sauces and I needed to tell them which one I wanted, okay, so shouldn't the cashier have asked me that? Manager told me that if I wasn't willing to come back for the sauces, there was nothing they could do but improve on their service next time I ordered. If you grew up in SoCal you should know that Tastea is the OG. It is my go to boba spot regardless if I'm in the OC, San Gabriel Valley or the IE and I'm so glad in recent years it's finally getting the expansion it rightfully deserves. The boba and quality of the drinks here is always consistent. I can't say the same for the other overly saturated franchised boba shops though. I especially love this location in particular because of the ample parking although I wish they got more foot traffic compared to the other side of the plaza! My go to order is the Honeydew Milk Tea with honey boba or the Lychee Peachee with crystal boba. If it's a hot day the Ooh La La smoothie with crystal boba always hits! Tip: there's an app! Download and order on their app! You earn points for your purchases and save so much time.
