I had an extremely unpleasant experience at the Starbucks located at Soquel Canyon & Pomona Rincon. The front desk staff was very impolite, dismissive, and disrespectful from the moment I arrived. My order took over 20 minutes, which is unacceptable for a simple coffee. When I politely asked whether my order under my name was ready, the employee repeatedly asked, "What name?" multiple times in a rude tone and then proceeded to mispronounce my name in a mocking and ridiculous way, which felt very unprofessional and disrespectful. To make matters worse, my name was never called at all, and when I finally received my drink, it was incorrect. I ordered a hot coffee, but I was given a cold coffee instead. By that point, I was already frustrated and did not feel comfortable addressing it again due to the staff's attitude. This location seriously lacks basic customer service, professionalism, and attention to detail. I expect much better from Starbucks. I will not be returning to this location and do not recommend it to others. read more

My friend Joel and I came to get a drink at this location because it was a couple doors down from the pizza place and we needed to have a drink with the pizza slices we bought from Nonno's as well as somewhere to sit to enjoy our Starbucks drinks, pizza, and great friendship time! I had never been to this Starbucks before, so knock another new location off the board for me! Joel and I had such a great time here, we didn't leave until my daughter called me from home asking if I was OK cause I wasn't there when she got home from work. We lost track of time lol! This Starbucks is a nice location. The inside was clean. I did use the restroom and realized I couldn't lock the door, so I slid the trash can over in front so someone couldn't just walk in. Hopefully this will get fixed quick! My friend and I mobile ordered our drinks from our table. We were appreciative we didn't get asked to leave since we brought food in. But what a great concept that Starbucks gains business from other places that don't have an inside seating to eat! I ordered a grande Mango Dragonfruit drink. It was made perfectly!!! It's one of my go-to's when I didn't want to take too much time figuring out what I wanted. It was a great compliment drink to the pizza slices from Nonno's! This Starbucks has a pretty nice and long driveway for take-away orders. I had to do this a few times here since they have an Urgent Care across the street which I was going to. The morning rush is still here but my iced Americano was delicious! Also, the employees here are so nice. I think Starbucks is a pretty good spot to come to during the morning. read more

Hit or miss here. And by that I mean either they load it up or load it up with a bunch of ice where you're going to drink 5 sips and then you're done. But otherwise they're always nice here. It's just that if you're spending Starbucks money, then the drinks shouldn't be over iced, that's all. read more

There are five other younger children working here and this man is killing it, putting the ice in the bins while they are just talking.. I do have to say that if I was writing this review about two months ago, it would be more negative. Being on maternity leave and taking walks this was my go to location and I was experiencing some bad customer service and rudeness from barista's. They always seemed in a bad mood and bothered by any request, such as a straw or water. They recently started to see a shift change I saw new baristas who have actually presented with friendly demeanors. The new staff I'm noticing are super nice very friendly, started a conversation and greet my kids. I'm not sure what called upon the change, but I'm very happy with it and I'm glad that things are changing in this Starbucks. I really hope it maintains this way. read more

Consistently bad service and angry service. Particularly from their barista Kristen. If anything needs any modification or if you ask for a knife water or anything. She throws attitude. She seems genuinely unhappy at her job and genuinely annoyed by customers. It seems many reviews mention the same. So sad. Tough to frequent a place with angry workers. read more

I was having a really rough day and thought I would treat myself and my toddler to some Starbucks. I know Malik noticed just by my eyes (since I was wearing a mask) that my day wasn't going well. He could have just given me my order and kept his day going, but instead he stopped everything he was doing , turned off the drive thru fan, took his headset off and leaned over the window to tell me that whatever i'm going through that I am a strong person and that I'm a wonderful mom and I will get through it and tomorrow will only be a better day ! That's just beyond great customer service, thats a well hearted human being. Love the arquitectural style and surroundings. However, the wait time is long. Understanding if the place was packed inside, which is was not! Their focus was on the drive thru and online orders. Nothing special about the service. Nice clean restrooms. Just an FYI: The patio area faces the hot beating sun, and although they do have umbrellas, it was pretty hot outside the seating area inside is not as large so you might have trouble finding a seat on busy times. read more

Why are these people so angry???? We drove through the drive thru and placed an order. We get to the register, my husband asks if he can add a blueberry scone to the order. He is immediately given an attitude by the lady at the window. Poor thing then asks if he can use his stars for the order. She looks at him and asks the most ridiculous question, do you want to apply them to your pastries?? Or the drinks??? Like what!?! Just apply them!! Who cares!? And the attitude is unnecessary! Visited this location today for the first time which is located in a very busy shopping center. The store is very clean & well maintained. The staff was SO friendly which is so refreshing nowadays. They were out of my usual pumpkin cold brew, but had the breakfast sandwich I wanted & I opted for a drink I hadn't had in awhile so it was still a win for me. I didn't realize it was open until I saw a car in the drive thru as I was coming from Albertsons toward the 71 freeway. I immediately went to check it out this morning! Wow; it's so new, clean and spacious. I love the mural on the side wall, love that it's huge & it's so welcoming. Although there is a drive thru Starbucks on the east side of the 71, now people living up the hill have a closer drive thru to choose from! Lids come off easily and rim where lid sits is always damaged or ripped which makes cup leak. They need better quality cups the double cup they use here at this location does not help. read more

the asian worker acts like he hates his job messed up my order and got mad wen he had to fix it and blamed us.

My boyfriend and I ordered two white mocha frappes and received two mocha frappes and we kindly told one of the workers (don't know his name but he was Asian) and right off the bat he disagreed and told us that we had apparently said mocha and not white chocolate mocha when I clearly heard my boyfriend say white chocolate. We were kind enough to accept the wrong drinks but the worker seemed annoyed and kept offering to remake it so we eventually gave it back. Five minutes later we received the drinks and with a rude response from him. He stated that my boyfriend has done this before and he recognizes him and that "it's not the first time you've sent back a drink so next time either speak up or..." and my boyfriend had then stated he had never sent back a drink at that location and that it was the first time and the worker proceeded to refuse to believe him. I think he was extremely rude and his words were uncalled for considering it was clearly a hearing issue and miscommunication. When we were ordering, the worker also kept repeating our order wrong and we patiently corrected him so it makes sense as to why he heard mocha instead of white chocolate mocha. It's not like we said white chocolate mocha and then sent back the drinks saying we wanted a caramel macchiato. So it was wrong of him to assume we were at fault and doing all this on purpose especially since we almost accepted the drinks knowing they were busy and didn't have time to remake it. Not to mention there was another female worker working in the back staring at us the whole time. Also the screen wasn't even on so how could we check the order? If I could give this store zero stars, I would. My first time ordering mobile order and going through the drive through. I drive through the line, go to the window and say "Hello, I'm here to pick up a mobile order f-" the barista cuts me off and with the WORST attitude while rolling her head around says "foooorrrrr?" And looks at me like I'm completely stupid. I was in total shock! I looked at my friend to see if she heard what I heard. Before even saying anything she said "wow, that was RUDE!"
