3 stars- it's a pretty mid Starbucks but they have what you want, just order through the app. The shop has small but decent seating inside and an outdoor patio on nice days. Somehow the sidewalks surrounding it are caked with spilled coffee and what appears to be coffee that leaked from their garbage bags. If they just sprayed down the sidewalks when opening / closing it would improve the shop greatly. Really my most recent customer service experience inspired this review: Me: pleasantly "Good morning, how are you doing?" Barista: ...Blank Stare... in a sassy tone, "what can I get for you" Me: Proceeds to order Barista: immediately asks for tip on a $8 coffee I just feel like at $8 Starbucks should be compensating their workers enough to not ask for tips on top of rude / abrasive service. Bottom line: just buy a Nespresso and skip the high dollar sugar rush in the morning. read more

This is such a great neighborhood Starbucks! Everyone who works there has always gone above and beyond in their service. The baristas that work here are some of the kindest and friendliest workers I have ever met. Stop in this location and you'll see what I mean! I stopped at this location this morning for my morning coffee and breakfast sandwich, as I often do. Service at this location is always amazing and welcoming but today...it was exceptional. Once I was in my car after getting my items, my coffee fell over (I am still not even sure how this happened) and spilled everywhere. After I sat there staring at the HUGE mess for what felt like 5 minutes, I gathered my purse and the cup to go back inside to order another. I had full intentions of paying as the spill happened in my car. The cashier at the register was so friendly and rang my item up immediately, I noticed sympathy from other employees which actually made me feel better, and then a gentleman came over and asked if everything was okay and instructed the cashier to comp the beverage. I assume this was the manager. Due to it being about 6:45am on a Friday and wild chaos just occurring in my vehicle (not to mention being sticky), I am not even sure I said thank you. The (assumed) manager even got me a wet towel to clean up my car and let me keep it! This location is always pretty busy in the morning and for the staff to provide their undivided attention and urgency during this time really shows how a supportive manager creates a culture where employees care. It could have been extremely easy for anyone working there to not show sympathy, focus on their task, or not engage. Truly amazing service and extreme kindness from everyone there. I cannot say thank you enough and how appreciative I am. Thank you. read more

I was super stoked when this Starbucks opened up around the corner from where we live. Be warned-order ahead way in advance because they take an extremely long time, this is partially due to covid and the fact that they get a mass amount of orders. I like this new Starbucks. I really missed the old one. Great products exceptional staff and ample room to work and chill. Only issue is that this place has more dogs than people on it. One poor girl wheezed and coughed as slug can care less self-entitled dogs owners sat idly by not giving a shit that their dogs caused this girl distress. Sadly staff as nice as they are seem adverse to saying anything about no dogs allowed by threat of receiving city health code violated. No there is not any 'service dogs ONLY' signage either. It's nice having this Starbucks back, even though I'm not a big Starbucks person. At least, it's a reliable chain to get a decent cup of coffee in a pleasant setting, and during hours other places may not be open. I do wish it were open later than 8pm, maybe 9 or 10pm. Please? Anyways, the staff are (mostly) friendly and the drinks are your standard SBux fare. However, on my visit today, the girl working the register couldn't keep her eyes off her phone. She didn't even listen to me place my order, I had to repeat myself. She was slow, lazy, and clearly didn't care. But at least my drink came out right, the person who ordered from her ahead of me had her drink rung up incorrectly and got the wrong thing! A major draw for SBux is their service. This store shouldn't ignore that aspect of the business. Once this store's managers/supervisors nips things like that in the bud, I'll bump up the review to 4 stars. I wish I could give zero stars because they really don't even deserve one. The staff here is intolerable, meaning they're intolerable of the customers. I've never had such an awful Starbucks experience. The staff has an awful attitude, no mannerism, rbf to the extreme, unbelievably lazy giving cups with no sleeves leaving a community bowl of stoppers out during covid times is disgusting. Not to mention they are not discrete about anything they're speaking of behind the counter completely unconcerned with the age of audience present and inappropriate. I'm thrilled this renovated Starbucks has reopened, its nice to have one closer to home. The staff are cheerful, helpful and polite. One issue I encountered was the lack of milk options at the condiment bar... I was told that very few people use skim or 2% milk and therefore they only put out half and half. Seriously? It's a Starbucks. They're all pretty much the same. So why s am I reviewing this one? Well, cuz this one has a few standout traits and cuz I love you. It's our regular spot. We aren't really even coffee fans but like grabbing a cool drink like a large Frappacino or iced tea for a walk or before we go to Gill Park. Now heres the deets guys and galleons. There's tons of sketchballs outside even before dawn. I'm not pulling your pubes when I say yesterday at six am outside in minutes we were asked for money 2x, offered weed, and offered alcohol, and witness what looked like a drug deal. IN MINUTES. Jeepers! On a weekday morning! Other traits is this Starbucks has a fireplace and the staff is very friendly and a large patio. Enjoy! read more

I'm giving this place 3 stars because you can never tell what mood the staff are going to be in the day you go. Sometimes the service is standard Starbucks - although busy, friendly with good service. Other days it's kind of a jumble, but whatever. Most recently, I went in and I felt like everyone was in a piss-poor mood. The barista kept trying to give me a mint tea and other drinks that were coming through, although that is not what I ordered - they really had no idea whose drink was whose. On that note, the man behind me ordered one regular and one soy something. The barista had no idea which one was which and suggested that he try them both and figure it out himself. ...my friend does not try a seafood gumbo because she simply doesn't SEE shellfish in it - she orders the way she does for a reason. It was the same case with that man and the staff genuinely did not care - he started getting pretty upset (fair enough) and when he tried talking to more than one barista, I sincerely felt like they went about their business without even listening to him. I finally got the right drink I ordered and left, although I really wish I stayed to see how the soy/regular situation was sorted out. I won't stop coming here because it's the closest Starbucks to me, but hope that I never have to see that event again. That being said, I don't go to this Starbucks as often - the staff's attitude that day REALLY turned me off. read more

This is my go to Starbucks. Everyone is really friendly. But what happened to all the old workers. There's really only 3 people who make my drink perfect anymore. 2 in the morning, a small blonde girl and a guy who has tattoos on his arms, and 1 at night, a tall guy with longer hair. I understand you have to hire new people but the past 2 days my fraps have been meh, and the girl this morning who made my drink didn't even read the cup because I had asked for caramel drizzle and she didn't give me any (even though the lady at the register wrote extra drizzle on the cup) I still am giving this place 5 stars because I've had too many good experiences here compared to the bad, AND the employees I mentioned. I understand that COVID is a thing but there is a way to go about talking to your guest. I did an order through the app and came to pick it up. I stared at what I believed to be my order. Read my name and proceed to grab it. The employee decided to let me know in a very demeaning tone that there is a pandemic and don't just reach for items. Once again I am well aware of that but there is a correct way to go about talking to people. I am in the hospitality industry and I could feel in his tone he was not having a pleasant day. This Starbucks is a joke. I placed an online order and went to pick up per scheduled time. The barista asked if I was the one who ordered the smoothie. I said yes. She rolled her eyes and said they didn't have the ingredients to make it. After a couple words back and forth, we compromised on a different smoothie. Once completed, she threw the smoothie down on the counter, with her nasty ass attitude, and walked away. Kitty got claws! I've been this this location twice in the last month and each time you could cut the tension with a knife. The staff is rude to each other and just as rude to the customers. My drink order can up wrong because the person taking the order entered it wrong, the barista then acted like I was inconveniencing him by asking him to remake it (to you know, what I ordered) while he shot off a glare to the girl taking the order who just stood there staring at him with her mouth open, unapologetic to him or myself. (I couldn't tell if I saw drool or not...) I am a stickler for customer service since that's the front-line for any business, and based on what I saw today these employees must of missed the first day of training because the attitude check wasn't performed on them. I unapologetically love Starbucks. I will always go there over a smaller, indi coffee shop, so sue me. Yes it's corporate, yes it's expensive, but I am not one of those people who feel the need to frequent it so often that it becomes a problem. My favorite thing to order at Starbucks happens to not be a coffee drink, but instead a ridiculously long winded version of their green-tea latte. In decent weather I must have it venti, iced (VERY LIGHT ICE!), hold the melon syrup, and with soy milk. This is the first Starbucks EVER (and you know there are a ridiculous number of them on the Northside) to fulfill my wish of having light ice in my iced green tea latte. The employees here seemed to realize that "very light" does not actually mean "fill it up with ice half or 3/4 of the way." For the first time ever I am not salty about spending money on an overpriced drink that is gone in 4.5 sips. Another reason I like this Starbucks more than most: It has a more private area around the corner from the bar (I am currently being semi-hidden by a pillar but can still look out the window) so that I find it easier to sit down and work on my computer. I hate when you're in the middle of everything and people can look over your shoulder and see whatever you're doing. I mean, I'm not watching porn, but still.. mind ya bidness. I don't think I will ever go to this Starbucks again which is a shame because it's so close to where I work. After years of ordering the same drink, the girl behind the counter felt the need to tell me I ordered it incorrectly. I let it go, and I waited about 5 minutes for my drink and myself to cool off a bit. By this time, I had arrived at work only to realize that the way SHE wanted me to order my drink was not how I actually wanted my drink including the fact that she added in regular milk instead of soy. I had to walk all the way back to fix my order, and the only reason I am giving them two stars is because Starbucks was nice enough to send me two free drinks after sending in a complaint. Came here this morning to pick up some coffee. The man at the cash register was so rude and kept huffing whenever I added something custom to my order. I would understand if it was super busy, but it was pretty empty. When I got my coffee, I could tell they made it wrong. But I decided against sending it back to not bother them. A good people watching place since it's at a busy intersection of Broadway and Sheridan. They only have 3 small tables outside so those spots might be taken. It's also in the middle of "Boystown" so be prepared to see things you've never seen before. The menu here is pretty much the same as everywhere else. Honestly, it's a Starbucks. You know the drill. Expensive coffee. Pretentious people on their laptops. Free WiFi. But, during final exams, I am all too happy to have a Starbucks around the corner. The chairs aren't soft, there aren't enough tables, you'll hear the same album pumped through their speakers like four times-- but, it will make you want to get your homework done, and get it done fast. There is no dilly-dallying in Starbucks. They load you up with sweet, sweet caffeine and sugar, and then set you loose on their free WiFi. If Starbucks knows anything, it's how to squeeze some productivity out of these poor saps. I actually am a fan of this location. The baristas are always nice, it's not TOO hard to snipe a table if you really want one, and yeah, I like the sugary, expensive drinks. read more
