Stopped by the Starbucks on W Main St in Carmel, and it ended up being a pretty solid stop overall. The inside is surprisingly large, with plenty of seating and an open layout that doesn't feel cramped even when it's busy. Restrooms were clean, which is always a plus, especially at a high-traffic location like this. The crowd level was definitely high, but the staff handled it well and kept orders moving with a system that clearly works. I did wait a little longer than usual for my drink, but considering how packed it was, it wasn't unreasonable. The real headache is the parking lot. It was messy, tight, and full of cars darting around with no clear flow. Once you get inside, though, the overall experience is much smoother. Oof, the staff at this location are awesome! They hustle, always friendly and seem to run a tight ship but have fun while working. I only really visit here while in town for work but it's typically a mess...even when you order ahead of time. Lately they have a barista checking you in when you've ordered online with seems counterintuitive to me. A 15 minute difference from 745-800am makes a world of difference. 7:45....get your drink when the app says. 8:00am....get your drink about 15-20 minutes after the app says. I've been disappointed by this Starbucks a few times now. I've never written a Starbucks review but I'm so sad I lost $7+ to a not good drink that I was very excited about. I went in around 6:20 AM before work on the day of their holiday item launch. I always get an ice shaken espresso of some variety at Starbucks no matter which one I go to. I got a shaken espresso with sugar cookie for holiday drop and sugar cookie cold foam. First of all it took 15+ minutes to get my mobile ordered drink... at 6:30 am. Second, the barista handed it to me and I was shocked because I have NEVER seen a shaken espresso that looked like that..... the coffee at the bottom looked like ice water with a splash of coffee, not at all like espresso. I ask the barista if it was a shaken espresso thinking maybe they made it wrong but she assured me it was and after I said it looked different than normal and I always order the drink. She said she swore on her life It was a shaking espresso so I'm like OK maybe it just looks weird and it'll taste normal. I mix it and at this point, cold foam that I paid $1.25 for is nonexistent anymore but I tried it anyway and was disappointed to say the least. It tasted about how it looked. after debating for a couple minutes and already being 10 minutes late for my day, I decided to go up to what looked like supervisor and ask for a remake. She was very kind and was happy to have a remade for me unfortunately, the same Barista that made it the first time made it again and it did not taste much better. I also saw another barista pull shots away from the espresso machine before they were done brewing, and it continued to pour out for another 5 ish seconds... Just bummed because normally Starbucks is so consistent- that's why people pay 6-7 dollars for it. read more

As far as other Starbucks they treat me anyway like a second class person. I'm a professional and have a great job but working dasher to help pay for daughters wedding. I visited this location for the first time in a long time. I was in the mood for a Salted Caramel Nitro Cold Brew and in the vicinity of this Starbucks. There were a few people in front of me waiting for their orders. I found the baristas to be very friendly and my drink was prepared very quickly. I like this Starbucks because there's always great seating available and therefore perfect for getting work done. A plus is that there is also a lot of seating outside as well. Nice new Starbucks just off US-31 in Carmel. This growing strip mall now boasts a Wild Eggs, Juice Bar, Fresh Indian Grill, dry cleaners and a massage place. This means the parking lot may be rather full, depending on the time of your visit. This Starbucks has an interesting layout - it's long and narrow which is a semi-awkward layout. I like the high ceilings and modern decor. The seating seems more conducive for individuals or pairs than large groups, though. Limited merchandise area (coffee beans, mugs, etc) and the refrigerated case is a little sparse, too. Service was fast and friendly on my visit. I would return again given its convenient location. *Note there is no drive thru here :( read more

This is the Starbucks that is closest to where I live. It's definitely my Top Two Starbucks ever! The service is always great and the staff is always friendly! I usually order on my MobileApp and then I arrive about 10-15 minutes later and I do not have to wait - I just walk in, let them know my name, and get my cold brew! I would highly suggest getting the mobile app and ordering ahead because otherwise, you will have to wait. However, they are very quick and will get you in and out as soon as possible. They are also following COVID precautions and standards perfectly with masks required and social distancing enforced by the staff. Outside of COVID - this Starbucks is a great place for meeting a friend for coffee, studying and has outdoor seating areas. This is really a top notch Starbucks! It's larger than most, with lots of little areas for you to hang out with friends, or just sit alone and get some work done. The baristas are knowledgeable, quick, and don't seem to get flustered if there's a bit of a line. There often IS, but they get through it quickly and you never have to wait long on your coffee. They truly care about the community as well. I work for a children's theater, and they've welcome us with open arms to bring our kids in to read scripts. There's a super cozy fireplace as well, and great outdoor space for the summer months. As far as Starbucks go, I'm loving this location!! Particularly the AMPLE seating. As a person that does work in coffee shops a minimum of two days per week, I look for plenty of seats (bonus if there are a lot of small tables), reliable WiFi and most importantly plugs for my work computer! This location has all three! Add to that, quick service with friendly interactions, and there's nothing more I could ask from a Starbucks location! I went into this location on Saturday, January 15th, at around 4pm to cash in on a free drink I had on my Starbucks card. The gal working the cash register was very nice, but couldn't figure out how to find my free drink, so called over, what I assume, was a shift manager. A gal with short dirty dishwater blonde hair. She told me a couple of times that I needed a barcode on my email I had received, to cash in on my free drink. I tried several times to explain to her that the email I received didn't have a barcode., to which she continued to interrupt over and over. She refused to let me speak. I couldn't believe someone in a customer service position was perfectly fine with being so rude to a customer. I will never go back to that location. Although this location is missing a drive-thru, the staff is incredibly efficient and friendly. At 8:30 on a weekday morning, you have to bank on your coffee taking longer than you expect. This is one of my favorite Starbucks. It is a new, modern layout with lots of tables tucked away so you can have a more quiet coffee time, or chairs in front of the cozy fire. Starbucks! Where people are always sitting alone in public working on their laptops looking busy and you stand in line to order complicated coffee! Just like your average Starbucks. Nice staff and a brand new interior. Sadly new drive thru, so in the mornings be prepared to wait a little bit in line and for your drink. New Starbucks in Carmel near Meijer. The inside was beautiful with lots of space. Exposed pipes, that kind of vibe. Seating was facing the windows so that was a little awkward just to get to the seat. For all the space there really wasn't that much indoor seating. No drive thru so they may find that they could use some extra seating. Service was great! The person who helped me was nice and efficient and got the order right. Our drinks and food came out quick. Everything was toooooooo hot though. Scalding hot coffee -much hotter than other Starbucks and the food was just too hot. I'm sure they will figure that piece out though. Great addition to the area. People, I've never seen a more professional cafe where you can effortlessly study with friends or other tutors or whoever the case may be. Where the seating is absolutely wonderful. Now, Starbucks is slightly pricey but honestly the food and drinks are absolutely worth it. I'm not a tea person but I am in fact a coffee person and Starbucks has never failed to impress me. Honestly, I've never been disappointed once when I've gotten Starbucks. Do I get it regularly? No, I don't have Starbucks that often but if I didn't have this tremor, I would be going every morning. :) It's absolutely phenomenal. They have cake pops, they have sandwiches, they have Mac and cheese, they have coffee, they have pastries. They sell so much delightful foods and drinks and I have some stories regarding them. But I think I should go over a few negatives regarding Starbucks Number 1: Again, it's a little pricey but not to bad Number 2: The appearance of the inside hasn't changed. You start to want something fresh and something different Number 3: It always makes me poop Number 4: The sizing isn't necessarily clear for children, instead of large, small and medium- its Granda, I don't remember the other ones further proving my point. Now let's go over this story here: I recall after being tested for COVID (my result was negative by the way) We went by the driveway and got myself a coffee just to comfort me because those tests are uncomfortable. Lastly I'd like to mention Starbucks has one of in my opinion, the greatest drink ever. It's a coffee drink titled the s'mores coffee. Today I had the worst experience of my life inside Starbucks in the main street location in Carmel thanks to one of your employees (I don't know her name, I only know what the girl with short hair is) I only recorded a four second boomerang video and the employee was not kind enough to approach me and ask me not to do that, she yelled at me from her work station that what I was doing was illegal and that she would call the police (I felt humiliated since I am Mexican and only I am a tourist here) I do not think I did anything wrong or at least I did not know that it was something wrong, she rushed to carry out my order and escorted me to the exit as if I were a criminal, never in my life had I I felt so humiliated since all the people looked at me in amazement as if I was the worst of people. I am truly disappointed in this Starbucks location. I have only been here a few times, but today was my last. First off, they didn't have any of the sandwiches that I wanted to order, so I had to settle for something else. Then the cashier definitely got my order wrong... I asked for two of the sandwiches we settled on and two waters. I got one of each. I didn't have time to stand around and correct the issue after I realized what happened because we were on our way to church and they move pretty slow at this location. First and last time I will patronize this Starbucks. Simple order of Venti regular coffee with cream and sugar. Receive drink with a molecular amount of cream and sugar, verified by taste. Ask "barista " if accoutrements are present and she affirmed. Since they have removed additions from public reach, I ask for additional cream and sugar packets. "Barista " ignores me. I am met by cashier with sugar packets. Shake packets to drop sugar to bottom of packets before opening. Discover packets were previously opened and sugar explodes all over my clothes and counter. On 3rd attempt met by manager who provided appropriate sugar and cream. How gross was this experience? Never again. read more

SLOW AF (backed-up mobile orders) This Starbucks is beautiful and in a very good location. However, I would not recommend going to this location if you're in a hurry or on your way to work. I'm a huge fan of mobile orders, but my order wasn't ready until 30 minutes after I had placed it this morning (when you're on your way to work, this is a lifetime). I was one of ~15 other people waiting for their orders when I got there. Other people waiting were voicing that they were going to be late to meetings/appointments, mobile order tickets/printouts were going missing and people weren't in the queue, etc. Not a good experience.
