Enjoyable table and chair area next to the bar
Luke W.

Gorgeous little cafe almost hidden at the entrance to Nordstrom, it feels a bit weird looking for iced caffeine next to rich people staring at shows. There's some comforting marketing about quality ingredients here and fresh stuff in the smoothies which is real nice. Maybe they are trying to also comfort the wallet given my little sixteen ounces of coconut and beat goodness was right over eight dollars. Insane prices for anywhere outside of the east or west coast but it was very tasty and had a good fresh bit of real fruit to the mix. Weirdly my buddies got a coffee that seemed real nice but the mango citrus smoothie was nothing at all mango and a smack in the face of supercharged orange peel, can't win it all even when charging big money. I will have to try the coffee next time especially with the good internet connection I had right outside the bar at the mall tables.

I work in the mall and love coming here vs the Starbucks here at Keystone! Everyone is always so nice and my order has always been perfect.

The menu is solid, with good variety. I ordered the A La Crossing Benedict, side of gravy, lefse, side Norwegian potato cake, and peach ginger hot tea. I was thrilled to find the hot tea was loose leaf in a pot brought to the table. It's a lovely touch. The Benedict had perfectly crispy bacon and so much asparagus. The egg yolks were perfectly runny and the hollandaise had great flavor. I picked the house salad with champagne vinaigrette for the side and enjoyed that as well. I tried the gravy on some of the sourdough bread and it had a great flavor. The biscuits and gravy will probably be something I order next time because it was so good. When I read they season their sausage in-house I knew I had to try it even though I wanted the Benedict. The Norwegian Potato Cake was a delight! I love every take on a potato pancake or latke and this one had great flavor. The Lefse was a perfect treat to end- I had the traditional with just butter, sugar, and cinnamon. (I had leftovers of this and ate it at home with extra butter and a little syrup also.) This place is a gem and I am so glad I stumbled upon it!

I had my three year old with me so we ordered the blackberry brown sugar latte and a kids hot chocolate. She picked out a blueberry muffin and I had a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. That muffin? Excellent. I was honestly a little jealous I couldn't steal it from her. My sandwich was great, exactly what you'd expect from the name. I really enjoyed the latte! It's not a flavor I'd normally go for and almost went for the cookie butter latte but I'm glad I tried something new. As for the hot chocolate--I've never seen my child finish a hot chocolate. Ever. She inhaled it. The shop itself was way bigger than I expected. Super welcoming and open with plenty of space and seating. It was pretty crowded but there was also still plenty of seating. We ended up sitting close to the register (I let my daughter choose where we sat) and the people behind the register were on top of it. One person overheard me tell my daughter I needed to go ask for a to go box and they grabbed one without me having to even get up. They were very kind and attentive! I really appreciated how welcoming the atmosphere was. I'm looking forward to going back soon!

I don't have a traditional office, so I'm always looking for remote places to work. I love a change of scenery and environment. Over the past year or two, I've slowly faded out my visits to a certain popular coffee establishment with a name shared by a character on Battlestar Galactica. So, when a friend told me about The Haverstick, I needed to check it out! I'm so glad I did. It has become my go-to office of choice! Housed in a community center of a local church, the environment has dim lighting and soft music. A perfect place to get focused and stay focused. They have a coffee bar that also offers a few food options. The coffee is good and very affordable. The staff is always friendly. There is usually only one person staffing the coffee shop, but they get to your order quickly. You just may have to wait if there is a large group, as happened to me once. But no worries. Simply have a seat and get to work, and they will call your name when your beverage and/or food is ready to pickup. The Haverstick is less a coffee shop and more a community shared-space work environment that offers coffee. They have a lot of comfortable chairs and tables of various sizes. The room is wide open and you never feel crowded, even if there is a decent amount of people. However, it's usually only a handful of other people around, so it's a great place to get things done. They also have conference rooms for rent. I'm grateful this church has opened its doors to the public and offers such a wonderful and inviting atmosphere. I look forward to returning soon and getting some more work done.

Mark and I ordered breakfast. Mark had SMOKING GOOSE CHORIZO SKILLET - sunny farm eggs, bacon fat potato, bell pepper, tillamook white cheddar, harissa, pickled red onion. He thought it was very good. I ordered POTATO WAFFLE - gruyère mornay, sunny farm egg, rize salad. The waffle itself was gently hidden by the salad and egg, but it was hiding underneath. It was thickish, was crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor on the inside. All the flavors worked well together. I ordered bacon crispy. It was both crispy and flavorful. Well done, RIZE! Our friend had TUSCAN CHICKEN PANINI - pesto, pickled red onion, swiss, roasted garlic aioli, sourdough w/ no tomato and the pickled red onion on the side. She likes the food and RIZE and this was no exception. She treated us to the house-made Pop Tart of the moment, which was Apple Caramel. We split it three ways and it was delightful. Definitely an elevated version of a pop tart. We had breakfast the next day. Mark had BISCUITS + GRAVY - breakfast sausage gravy, buttermilk biscuits, sunny side farm egg, chive. He cleaned his plate. I ordered the CROISSANT SANDWICH - over easy egg, tillamook white cheddar, rize salad w/ sausage. It was perfectly prepared and delicious. Our two servers were personable and helpful. They both made sure we had everything we needed.
