    Christmas Morning Latte
    Luke W.

One of the most relaxed and inviting spaces I've discovered in the Indy area, plenty of parking, comfortable quiet work areas, and excellent coffee!

I just tried The Haverstick for the first time a few weeks ago. I hadn't realized it existed before... maybe because it's nestled behind The Church at the Crossing? But a no fee co-working space with its own coffee shop inside sounded well worth a try! The space has a lot of seating options. When you walk in, there are long tables to the left. If you keep entering the main space, there are couches, plush chairs, and standard table and chairs to choose from. The lighting is kept kind of dim. It's moody, but may be a bit tough on the eyes depending on what you're working on. The long tables over by the door have better light! I didn't take a look at the private rooms, but I know they have those available to rent for a fee. You can talk to the baristas about it. I haven't tried the tea yet, but that's next on my list! What I really like about this place, though, is that they allow you to bring in whatever food or drink you want. It's really a space designed to serve the community. That's not something you see every day! I'll definitely be back to The Haverstick soon!

Seating area with a place to kick up my feet.

I have found my new between meeting hang out. Quiet, comfortable, & kind service. Tried a special- Gingerbread Chai- OH MY! I almost ordered a second round! Plenty of co-working space. Tables, outlets, wi-if, couch & chair groupings. Yes, it's a church based coffee hang out. Did I feel pressure? Nope. Did I feel welcome? Absolutely. Several other professionals and students here as well. I will absolutely come back and I have a feeling they'll know my name when I return.

Visited The Haverstick during the Caffeine Crawl. Was very impressed with how spacious it was and the amount of seating that was available. The perfect place to do some work or meet up with a friend . We got to try the new Christmas morning latte. It was delicious. One of the best seasonal drinks I have ever had.

My friend and I were looking for a cute study place on the north side and we found this hidden gem. This is located around the back of the church. There are signs that will direct you. This place is so cozy, very quiet, and a great change of scenario. There are so many workplaces inside and outside. We had a great time. Also a cute spot to hang with friends and chit chat. There are plug ins every where for laptops. We're coming back again next week!

I had no idea this co-working space was here. It's a big church that uses their big common area as a coffee shop/co-working space during weekdays. It's free to visit and the have free Wi-Fi. There is a nice little coffee shop too so you never have to leave while you're working.

This warehouse of a coffee shop is located on the back side of the Church at the Crossing (465 and Keystone). The first thing you will notice when walking in is the massive amount of space inside. There are several tables, couches and reading chairs scattered throughout. They also have private rooms that you can rent with a group. This was my second visit to Haverstick and first time I decided to stay and get some work done. The menu is simple, yet effective. They have two sizes -- small (12 oz) and large (16 oz). I ordered a large cold brew coffee and then snagged a table to get some work done. There are three large tables by the entrance that have an abundance of outlets near them. Some of the other tables near the walls in the open area also have outlets, but most of the middle tables and chairs do not. I will say most of the chairs at the tables are metal and pretty uncomfortable but I was able to find a plush suede one. The vibes at this place are mellow with very faint, relaxing music playing in the background. Overall, my cold brew coffee was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. What makes this place a gem is the ambience, abundance of space and variety of seating that lends itself well to getting work done. Of note, it is only open 7am - 5pm on weekdays (3pm on Friday) and is closed on the weekends.

Awesome place! I wish Haverstick opens over the weekend. I don't have that much time during weekday, so sad. Plenty of tables and seats. Spacious coffee shop, I guess biggest one I've found here so far!! Yelp check in with 50% discount on ur drink. Love this place.

    Main work and chill space

This is a hidden gem of a work spot! The space has plenty of comfy chairs and couches plus tables set up far enough apart from one another to prevent eavesdropping! The music is quiet and brings a calming vibe, plus their separate rentable rooms allow for group meetings with your own space. The tea and coffee are tasty and they often have treats baked locally. I like to meet people here versus bigger coffee spots as there is private parking, plenty of seats and it is quiet enough to hear my group! Plus they have good tea options which is perfect for a later meeting. Free WiFi which is really rather fast for a space this size. Highly recommend it if you need a spot to chill or work.

I ordered the A La Crossing Benedict, side of gravy, lefse, side Norwegian potato cake, and peach ginger hot tea. I was thrilled to find the hot tea was loose leaf in a pot brought to the table. It's a lovely touch. The Benedict had perfectly crispy bacon and so much asparagus. The egg yolks were perfectly runny and the hollandaise had great flavor. I picked the house salad with champagne vinaigrette for the side and enjoyed that as well. I tried the gravy on some of the sourdough bread and it had a great flavor. The biscuits and gravy will probably be something I order next time because it was so good. When I read they season their sausage in-house I knew I had to try it even though I wanted the Benedict. The Norwegian Potato Cake was a delight! I love every take on a potato pancake or latke and this one had great flavor. The Lefse was a perfect treat to end- I had the traditional with just butter, sugar, and cinnamon. (I had leftovers of this and ate it at home with extra butter and a little syrup also.) This place is a gem and I am so glad I stumbled upon it!

Large mug, excellent froth and the coffee was rich and bold ! I ordered the half order of biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs on top. I enjoyed the food, flavor and richness of the gravy. The gravy was stocked with sausage crumbles which added the full flavor. The eggs were fried a tad harder than I desire but they were tasty and topped the meal well. The price was more expensive than I anticipated but not crazy. Ruth's is a little of a distance for me which is how I base my final rating. I liked it and will go again if I am in the area during their hours of operation. But I would not pass some equally good cafes closer to me. If you are in the keystone area I recommend you stop

They have various food items but I absolutely LOVE their peanut butter energy balls! In fact that is why I came to this location as this is where the magic happens. They make them here and send them to other Tinker locations! They are the perfect blend of savory and a tad sweet and go super well with their coffee and/or London Fog tea. Yum! I will freely admit to buying all they had on hand, and now can enjoy them at home. Yay! It is a very busy spot so not the friendliest of staff, but assumed they were already hassled from the morning. It was a great spot to meet a friend and enjoy the patio and some tea/coffee. Or maybe a slice of toast with avocado and smoked salmon on it (they have that, too). You can get breakfast foods here that are nutritious and delicious. But I was here for lunch. And I felt like I needed to replenish my vitamin K reserves, so I got the sesame kale salad, which is kale, thinly sliced radish, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño slices, a sunflower and sesame seed crumble, and a sesame-ginger vinaigrette. It was delicious! You can add an egg or chicken or salmon, but I don't think it needs any of those. If I had to do it all again, I'd ask for light dressing, because they were a little heavy-handed with the dressing on this salad. Isn't that always the way?! Restaurants need to cool it with the dressing, in my opinion. To be honest, the booze situation at Rize is a little anemic, but I don't think Rize is really the place to order anything alcoholic beyond a mimosa or bloody Mary. I got a screwdriver: freshly squeezed orange juice and vodka, and I'm still wondering where the vodka went. It did not visit my screwdriver, I tell you what. The seating inside Rize feels like it's at a premium, because depending on when you visit, there is very little of it. When I visited, almost every table was occupied, and the place was echoing with conversation. I chose to sit outside, which I'd recommend, if you can! It's so nice to sit and eat a good meal outdoors. How many times do we get to eat outdoors in Indiana? Just go outside, if you can.

That was enough for us to give it a try and we're glad we did. The restaurant itself is clean, bright, and welcoming. As soon as we sat down, a bottle of chilled water was brought to the table, a small but thoughtful touch that we appreciated. Service was very efficient. Our order was taken quickly, and the food came out at lightning speed. The waffle was light and fluffy, the fruit cup was fresh and naturally sweet, and the spinach omelet was absolutely delicious. One of the standout items was the homemade blueberry jam, it was truly out of this world and paired perfectly with the meal. Another feature we liked was the unlimited coffee bar. For $5 you can enjoy three different coffee flavors and even take a cup to go, which is a great deal for coffee lovers.
