My favorite for lunch (or dinner honestly) when I am in the area. If you are needing a bite and you're shopping or staying at one of the nearby hotels, this place is a consistently excellent option. What I live for is their French pressed coffee. My kids and I just came for a snack today and split the chocolate chip cookie sundae. It was incredible. I usually get the prime sandwich (so good) and my kids love the Mac n cheese and kids salmon. Honestly some of the highest quality food I've ever had! This spot is tucked into the back of the second floor of Nordstrom and because it's so hidden, you can usually find a seat and will get your food quite quickly. The staff are AMAZING. We've had the same server a few times and she runs up and hugs us every time we see her. All of the staff are fun and interact with each other and I love going to support them too. The lime/shrimp salad is so.freaking.perfect. It's the perfect balance of dressing and toppings and it's just flawless. Also the Caesar salad with chicken is incredible and comes with a huge, baked Parmesan wedge sticking out of it. The pizza and fries are also classy and delicious. One would never even know that this restaurant is even in Nordstrom. I would rather eat here than the food court. The menu doesn't have a lot of items but it has a little bit of good different items. I never would have thought this place exist. Nordstrom isn't my frequent store. Ordering and sitting on our own caught me off guard Bc I thought I would be waited. The menu isn't overwhelming for a cafe and the options are pretty legit. I like the open kitchen so you can see your food being made. I got the salmon with couscous, hubby was peeking over the kitchen, and told me the chefs were looking at the recipe book for my dish. Not too impressed about that. The salmon was over cooked, very dry and little flavor. I wouldn't get it again Hubby got the steak frites. Steak was great, cooked to medium. Loved the shoe string fries but did not like the dipping sauce. Bread pudding was excellent! We don't usually do desserts and I didn't expect bread pudding to be this fancy, but I loved the crispy crust and the softness inside. White chocolate was not too sweet and loved the raspberries. Inside Nordstroms on the second floor of Keystone at the Crossing is the company's dining option. The restaurant is quiet and arranged with the kitchen, including the brick oven on the south end with bar style seating facing the chef area. From there, a mixture of booth and chair seating on an arc fills the center, with tables and some additional booth seating along the walls. The restaurant asks for patrons to wait at the front entrance, but no one greets you there. You have to go in to the left (after picking up a menu at the entrance) to place your order and pay in advance. You then pick your seat and wait for your food, tableware, and drinks to be brought to you. I ordered the Bistro Club sandwich which comes with Bistro French Fries and kalamata olive aioli. The Sandwich was delicious and huge! Served on a toasted rustic bread, the sandwich has sliced chicken breast, organic baby greens, crisp and thick bacon, tomato, avocado, French green beans (adds to the crunch!), and garlic aioli. Very tasty! My wife ordered the Citrus Turkey sandwich which has Gruyere cheese, tomato, organic baby greens, citrus cranberry chutney, garlic aioli, and slice turkey on a toasted multi-grain ciabatta bread. It wasn't quite as large as my sandwich, but was plenty to be filling. She found it quite good as well. The service was also attentive and courteous and prompt. Kuddos to them too! So with sandwiches so good, why not a higher score? Well, several little things kept us from thoroughly enjoying the experience. First, the bathrooms are not in the restaurant, but at the northwest end of the Nordstroms. No sign tells you this at the entrance (at least we didn't see one), so if you want to wash your hands before eating, you have to leave the restaurant again. The Bistro French Fries have no description on them in the menu. They are brought out already seasoned with parsley and rosemary. My wife cannot stand the taste and even the smell of rosemary, so she didn't eat but one. Since I assume the seasoning is added after the cooking process, it would be nice to offer "unseasoned" fries as an option. I was not sure what the kalamata olive aioli was for. My wife used it to dip her sandwich for additional flavor. I thought it might be for the fries. Either way, I am not a fan of the bitterness in kalamata olives, so I passed on this (letting my wife add it to her sandwich). I would have liked an option to have a simple catsup for my fries, but since they were seasoned, chose not to ask if it was available. Still, it would have been nice to have that option mentioned by the staff. Finally, when you pay up front, they keep your receipt until you are ready to leave. When they bring your receipt, they don't have an option for leaving a tip on your credit card, so we needed to dig for cash to leave a tip. If they have a plan for tipping (or a no tipping policy), it would be nice if they explained it when the order was placed and paid for. I think this is one place that could benefit from customer service cards to fine tune the dining experience. If I return, I will know to ask more questions up front. Any business that wants to create a payment policy different from the standard owes it to the customers to be forthcoming with the info and not assume everyone knows the "Company Way", especially after we told them front desk it was our first visit. Had dinner at Nordstrom cafe tonight, ordered a shrimp salad, tasted good, but guess what I found in the salad.....a rubber band!! I complained, manager came out, apologized and said he would talk about it to the kitchen staff, it was "just" a rubber band!!. I mentioned the ramifications that may have occured if I had eaten the rubberband. Always a good place for lunch. Usually I order the warm Asian chicken salad, it's delicious. Today I had the pizza. It's really large enough for two to share. We sat on the open kitchen side and watched them make our food. It was very entertaining. The pizza was fabulous. In the past I've split the white chocolate raspberry bread pudding for dessert. This place is truly a hidden gem. Every person in our family loves all parts: the food, service, quickness and atmosphere. It's calm and fairly quiet amongst the hub-bub of a shopping day. You order and pay at the front so the wait isn't as long and you can choose where to sit. The staff is always pleasant and attentive but not overly in your face. We've gotten many items on the menu but we continually go back to the cilantro lime salad. It's a very simple salad but one of the most delicious I've ever had. All the flavors and textures come together to fill you up but make you feel like you ate a healthy meal and are refueled. We always like to split a margarita pizza too because it's simple and tasty. Went to this tucked away spot inside Nordstrom's yesterday to meet up with Family for an impromptu Valentine's Day get together. No lines and fast service. We love this place. The crab bisque is awesome. I love their creative, fresh salads. My husband enjoys their sandwiches, some cold, some grilled. The frites are thin, crispy and topped with a light sprinkling of fresh herbs. I love the kalamata olive aioli that comes with - so tasty! The bread pudding is also wonderful but we usually don't have room for it. They also serve breakfast and their coffee is great! .... I think more commonly called 'Nordstrom Cafe', on the 2nd Floor. There are so many reasons to come here: rarely crowded, easy to get to, great place to eat before a movie at Landmark (just steps away), pretty & calm interior, great food, and great staff, especially Sonia who has been there since the beginning and has her own following (just watch how many people ask for her and go hug her!). Everyone is friendly. The ordering process throws people off but it works well: you order at a counter and pay, then food is brought to you. You can then leave a cash tip or tip when ordering (no prob bec you know it will be good). Need a gift? They sell some Nordstrom products such as salad dressing, wine, chocolates, cookbooks & pasta sauce. Their iced tea is Mighty Leaf brand and is GOOD. I always order the cilantro lime shrimp salad ... hot grilled salted shrimp on a fresh cold salad -- yum. Their portions have gotten smaller and their prices have increased, but we still go there when we can. Oh, and it's QUIET in there. You can hear everyone talk at your table! It's a GREAT place to take elderly persons for that reason and because you can park in parking garage and walk straight over to the second floor. We have taken my mother-in-law here, my mother, uncle, and had a bridal shower. They do not officially take reservations, but you can call and let them know you'll have a group of ___ coming at a certain time and see what they'll say. Nordstrom Cafe seems like it is a secret people want to keep; I wouldn't be surprised if they have the same people coming over and over. The menu is good; you'll find something to your liking! I just want to keep it going because I think a lot of people do not even realize it's there; we'd really miss it if it wasn't. I have yet to be disappointed by the Nordstrom Cafe Bistro! On my first visit I sat at the counter overlooking the kitchen. Having worked with an upscale caterer for 8 years, I can recognize when people take pride in the food they serve. Watching the chefs carefully prepare everything surprised me for my first visit. For the "Bistro Club" (mentioned by another reviewer) I watched them slice the avocado fresh (it would be easier to have it already sliced if trying to produce food quickly, but it turns brown). I liked seeing the attention to detail. I ordered the Bistro Club, which is my favorite. The fries are tossed in sea salt and fresh chopped rosemary (another nice detail) which give them a more sophisticated twist with the olive aioli. Service consistent and well-paced. Please note that you place you order and pay PRIOR to being seated. While you can always have your server re-open you ticket to leave a tip by credit/debit card (which they will do if you add coffee or dessert to your order once at the table), I always get change (if I have cash) while placing my order. read more

We had a tasty lunch at Nordstrom Cafe Bistro the other day. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience and recommend a visit if you are at the mall. It's much much better than any of the food court offerings. We had the crab bisque, the bistro club with avocado, bacon, green beans, tomatoes & turkey and the the ham & swiss panini. The sandwiches were served with really good french fries that had a kalamata olive aioli dipping sauce. We had a surprisingly delicious lunch there a few weeks ago. We both ordered the Citrus Turkey sandwich--it was yummy! it came with the most incredible fries that had both sea salt and herbs along with an olive aioli. Our daughter was thrilled with the Kraft macaroni and cheese. Unfortunately, we've been back three times since, and it is a little more disappointing each time. We've had cold fries, dry buns, anemic entree salads (most dinner salads have more lettuce, not to mention more chicken, etc.), slow service, and the rudest waiter ever who clearly hated his job and us by extension.
