My Martinez friend mentioned that he wasn't aware this place even existed and that his kids went to school just a couple blocks away. They've been in business for 13 years, and she actually graduated from the same school that his kids went to. I ordered an Iced Pistachio Latte (not too sweet), while my friends ordered a hot drink (regular latte, I believe) and another iced drink. And yes, one can ask to customize the sweetness level to your preference. We also got a slice of Pistachio Nutella Coffee Cake and a Strawberry Coffee Cake. Earlier, I eventually had to ask another customer to take her dog outside, as it was barking nonstop and she made no attempt to quiet it or remove the dog, seemingly unaware that this was inappropriate for a restaurant setting. The overall atmosphere made it uncomfortable enough that I left early. Public spaces rely on people observing basic societal norms of consideration, and unfortunately that wasn't present during my visit. The café and staff were fine. The customer environment was not.
