I happen to be eating lunch in this plaza on a warm summer Saturday and thought a nice cool drink would help with the warmth. I walked over to place an order in person for their Watermelon Breeze summer special. According to an email I received, the watermelon special is $5 on weekends. The cashier rang me up and the price on the register was different. I mentioned the special offer and he looked confused as he shared he wasn't aware of the promotion. Later, I pointed out the advertisement posted behind him. Eventually, he figured it out. The drink is as expected, tasted too sweet about 1/2 way through, but I already knew that. There weren't that many others in the store but from ordering to getting the drink took about 15 min. Overall, there is definitely room for improvement. Soooo.. Saturday was a HOT day! My husband and I decided to go to Jamba Juice (South Hampton- Benicia) and order a refreshing drink. Before entering the store, we noticed a poster saying "Get 50% off smoothie with sign up" so we did!! When we entered the store, there's another poster saying " $5 rewards member exclusive" for watermelon breeze, so I ordered that, and a large Orange juice. Our bill was $15 (plus some cents) we asked if the coupon was applied. The nice cashier (he seemed new- training) wasn't sure if he did it right, so he asked the manager to look at it. As he approached the cash register, he said: "The coupon is for you to use next time you visit, and only on Fridays" Clearly, the manager (male) does NOT know what it says on the poster (I took a close up photo of the fine print) and it does say "Saturdays & Sundays" Jamba Juice management: please train & educate your store managers about your current promotions. This actually falls under "False advertisement" Sure it's only few bucks, but it's the PRINCIPLE, and the way the store manager handled it was very RUDE, POORLY & unacceptable. I didn't stop by the actual location (though I have been here before), I ordered smoothies through the DoorDash app to be delivered to where I was staying. On Jamba Juice's and the driver's part of it, I give it 4 stars since it was what I ordered and still cold when it got here. However, I'll just buy directly through Jamba and/or other places directly instead of using these third party apps. The convenience is nice, but by the time they add in delivery, tip, and other fees, you end up paying close to double. No thanks. I have been getting them for a long time 2yrs and now they have discontinued the sky bowl and replaced it with waffle bowls with hi - calories. They have nothing under 550 calories. This is the only Jamba I visit where I expect to get problems with drink quality or experience low customer service skills. I rarely have problems visiting others, even if it's just one time which shows me that there is a consistent service problem at this particular location. However, this is my most local Jamba so I do come here a lot. How do they mess up the drinks? Well sometimes it's too liquidy or too short. I ordered a small, not extra-small. I mobile ordered for pick up at 2pm so if you make the drink early, maybe put it in the freezer, not the fridge. Last time, my peanut butter mood did not have the peanut butter flavor. I never buy food at this location but I been here two times when they burnt waffle so I know it's not probably just a drink issue. Anyways, I had to make 3 complaints so far because it was just too off to accept and kudos to them to honor the redos so far. Regarding customer service, it just seems like too many employees are inexperienced. It's like they never had a customer service job before which is okay, but be polite and treat everyone equally. So a couple days ago now I had the most explicitly rude from a Jamba employee: A girl with brown long-hair, pale skin, and approx 5'2, tossed straws at me after I said, " I don't think there are straws anymore" when she handed me drinks with no straws. I didn't say it rudely, and I noticed she gave the two other groups before me straws without them asking. No straws were available to grab from behind the counter, and I believe she knew this already. I asked if she was ok, and she ignored me. This Jamba in Benicia needs to do better by hiring people who care about providing decent and consistent service to all customers without the attitude (shown in behavior and low-quality order preparations). Many Jamba locations have young employees like this one, but unlike this one, the other locations have employees with better attitude and skills. read more

Chocolate Moo'd is my go-to drink. Most of the time I order the power (large) size and ask the worker to split off some in a kid size cup so I can share with my daughter. Whenever I do request this, the worker is always accommodating. Drink tasted great, well-blended and not all chunky like some smoothies. Also, was cleanly poured into the cup so there wasn't excess spilling out of the lid or anything. Getting better at remembering to input my cell number for the rewards, prior to paying. SECRET MENU Jamba juice, is probably the greatest drink ever created, excluding Kool-Aid. This stuff is good. I use to crave the Mango go go. But i've moved on and feel in love with the Orange Dream machine. so so good. This location is pretty solid. The smoothies come out consistently good each time and the staff is friendly and efficient. The parking situation is pretty atrocious here, but Jamba Juice doesn't really have any control over that. In addition, there's a middle school around the corner within walking distance and the high school is close by too. So, it can get really busy if you come by right after the school day ends. They have a Jamba insider rewards club that gives you $3 off with every 35 points earned and a free smoothie or juice on your birthday. Their drinks are refreshing in the summertime and heathy to drink in the wintertime during the cold/flu season. So, they are a year round good choice. read more
