First off, major props to the very courteous staff gentleman (might actually be the manager/owner?) who offered a dry towel after seeing me drenched from the torrential downpour during The Great Benicia Run downtown event lmaooo he was also congratulating everyone who was at the ordering counter and had a running bib! As for food/drink offerings, the cinnamon morning bun was satisfyingly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and although I didn't notice much of the banana flavor in the funky monkey mocha, it was still a soothing mocha. Cozy cafe vibes! read more

When I walk in the morning I try to stop by and get a cup of coffee every day. The kids in here are pretty nice and it's much more friendly than the old place that was in here .. Clean Planet of seating You can sit outside too if you like . I usually just get coffee , I see other things on the menu and haven't tried it , but I will. Service is fast and with a smile.. the drip coffee is a refill- too- I like that - helps keep me going on my walks ..I think the main reason I come by is the kids are nice - and for me - that's a big part of why you do things - because people are good to you The half n half and other things are on a side table - bus your own table - that seems to be the in thing nowadays - so I do it .. I hate to write such a low review because everyone is genuinely so kind and the ambiance is great to study and hangout but the coffee is kind of bad? I was hoping it's just me but I feel like the couple drinks I've tried have just been bland and bitter. Considered they're supposed to be a sweet late. It was mediocre coffee:/ Their vegan donuts were a great snack and push for the day. Saved the trip there tbh. read more

The Majestic Cafe is everything you want in a good coffee shop. They have great service, great food, and most importantly, great coffee! The owners of Majestic Cafe took over just around a year ago, and they also own Rainbow FroYo and Double Rainbow Cafe. Based on how wonderful their dessert shops are I knew I was in for a treat! The cafe is a nice, large place that has both a casual and classic feel to it. It has pictures on the walls of old downtown Benecia. You order at the counter and the staff is cheerful and helpful. They have a wonderful selection of coffee drinks, both seasonal and non-seasonal. I got to try a few of them. The major standout to me was their Jalapeño mocha. I know it sounds crazy, but whatever they do here works beautifully. Its flavor profile has both spicy and sweet chocolate to it that I've never had in a mocha before. Also, the spice level is not bad. It's just a little kick of spice! I also tried their gingerbread latte and their butterbeer latte. The butterbeer is very sweet with a strong butterscotch flavor. I loved it! Their gingerbread latte was the perfect amount spices and sweetness as well. For food, I tried the breakfast burrito with the chili verde and their avocado toast. Both were exactly what I wanted and were delicious. I will definitely be returning to Majestic Cafe the next time I'm in Benecia. read more

My sweet friend and fellow Yelper, Mila E., recommended we meet at Majestic Cafe for a beverage and to walk our pups. In the heart of Benicia, this majestic little cafe sits. It seems to be a watering hole as lots of people were inside hanging out or catching up on work. The vibes are casual, minimalistic, and workers are friendly and efficient. WiFi is available and there are tables to sit at plus a bench outside. They have a cute hook for pet leashes outdoors too! As a matcha girlie, I was amazed at their offerings! They have typical coffee and teas plus special drinks and lots of syrups. Non-dairy alternatives are available too. I got an Iced Taro Matcha with Soy Milk and she had an Iced Lavender Latte. My drink was smooth, sweet, and creamy. Taro flavor was present but the matcha was on the more subtle side. I wouldn't mind coming back to try their other drinks! Majestic Cafe is worth a visit if you're in Benicia! It's a charming spot with good drinks and nice workers! Located on the corner of 1st Street, there's ample free parking all around! read more

This is a really cute and intimate coffee shop with lots of street parking. I didn't have anything to eat per se but they have a decent amount of pastry options. I opted for the ube matcha iced latte with oatmilk and my friend did a ube latte. Both really good options and well balanced. Service is good but I'm used to east coast pace so to me my drinks took a bit longer than I anticipated. There's a good amount of diverse people in the cafe either chatting or doing some work/assignments. Would definitely revisit if I'm in the area again. read more

This quaint coffee shop on the corner in Benicia was an absolute gem. We came by 3 times this morning to get various coffees and each one tasted great. I love the older building and the design aesthetic - very welcoming. The baristas were friendly and knowledgeable about the drink offerings and service was reasonably fast - as expected for a quality product. Highly recommend read more

Majestic Coffee Everything Toast $8 Butterbeer latte $6 Everything Toast Cream cheese/ house made everything seasoning Butterbeer latte A wicked butterscotch latte with a hint of brown latte Finally, I tried Majestic Cafe. This used to be States. The motif is similar --minimalist look with a few house plants. I like this space. It's perfect for writing, doing homework or chilling with friends. Everything Toast was yummy with a good amount of cream cheese. Their homemade seasoning had the right amount of salt, garlic, sesame, lemon zest, and I think thyme. I maybe missing some other ingredients. Is it worth $8? That's debatable. This maybe the standard as far as toast prices go. The butterbeer latte is delicious. I requested to lessen the syrup. They suggested half. I appreciate the accommodation. I want to taste the bitterness of the caffeine. The service was great. If you decide to dine in, they'll bring your order to you. There's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Restrooms are available for customers. They delicious coffee and drink options. See photo. I'll definitely return and order the Jalapeño mocha. read more

We came here on a whim Thursday morning. The interior decor is still very similar to when it was States but now has some turquoise highlights. Similar cozy farmhouse vibes with houseplants. Some seating but most of it was taken with the exception of outdoor bistro seating. A restroom is available in the back past the pick up area. Not much of a line when we went and it moved fast. They have a medium sized selection of baked goods. They have much more of a selection for drinks than the previous business. We ordered the iced matcha latte, iced taro matcha latte, veggie scone, and chocolate zucchini loaf. The cashier was kind. She confirmed that we'd be okay with putting both pastries in the same box. The drinks came out quickly. There is a self service table with straws, napkins, drink holders, a watering station etc. I honestly loved all the food items! Everything wasn't too sweet. The drinks weren't watered down with 90% ice. I think in total we paid around $25. The matcha was a good strength. The scone was buttery and warm and delicious. The chocolate zucchini loaf was rich without being too sweet almost like a dark chocolate. This may be my new favorite cafe in Benicia! read more

20$ for a breakfast burrito and two coffees, and all was fantastic. I hate oat milk that is too thick and this was the perfect consistency. I got a brown butter toffee iced oat milk latte and it was a 10/10. Cute little place and for my first time here I loved it! read more

With limited seating, I thought Majestic cafe was still a good place to study. I enjoy having the freedom to customize my own drink with their variety of syrups to choose from. Even can customize their cold foam! I always add cinnamon on top as preference and they have a table where you can do that including getting your own water, and additives to your coffee. I wish it was open longer hours but I appreciate the workers for being able to accommodate your own concoction!! read more

Wanted to try a new cafe and came across Majestic Cafe. The inside is so cute, clean, and there are plenty of seating available if you want to do some work inside. The service was super friendly and quick. They have a menu for their specialties and seasonal items and my eye immediately caught on to the Taro Matcha since I love both but never tried it together. It was actually pretty good! You can taste a subtle taro flavor with the matcha and it wasn't too sweet. I would recommend if you like both flavors. I would definitely come back to try more items! read more

My first time trying this cafe and I am definitely putting it in my rotation. The coffee was really good and perfectly balanced not too sweet and not too strong. Sadly, I did not enjoy the drinks I got here and I was surprised since this coffee shop has a lot of high reviews. I ordered a butterbeer latte for my bf and a salted caramel oat cold brew for myself. Unfortunately, the butterbeer did not taste anywhere close to butterbeer. It didn't taste like much other than milk and their subpar coffee. The same could be said for my cold brew. I did not taste the salted caramel, and it mostly tasted like watered down cold brew coffee. The only thing I enjoyed was the vegan blueberry donut. One star for the donut and one star for the friendly staff who made the drinks fast. read more

I think patrons of States will be happy to know that a lot of it was carried over to Majestic. Super friendly service. My latte was good and they had a great selection of pastries. They did get my husband's order incorrectly, but we didn't catch it until we were on the freeway and didn't bother going back. It's a cozy place to enjoy your beverage/food. Hope to see this place thrive in Benecia! read more

Wow! What a gift for Benicia! We were so disappointed with the previous operator of that business and absolutely thrilled when it reopened as the Majestic Cafe. Our late breakfast and coffee this morning was amazing. I had the avocado toast and a latte and my wife had cinnamon toast and a mocha. The coffee was spectacular and the toasts were terrific. The service was friendly, professional and fast. You've managed to preserve the open clean farmhouse vibe and added some additional comfortable seating. It is such a step up from the nihilistic attitude of the staff that we encountered previously at States. Everyone today was so kind and this will be our new go-to on First! read more

My friend and I decided to try this place out. We hadn't been here since it used to be State's and I was excited to try a new place. When I walked in, I realized the main menu was exactly the same as at State's, and then there were a few specials. I decided to order the honey latte, my usual staple and a chocolate zucchini bread. My friend got the same latte and a donut. Sadly, the chocolate zucchini bread was not good, so much so that I tossed it after one bite. The latte was ok, but not great, for both of our tastes. Overall, just a meh experience. read more

This is one of my two favorite cafes in Benicia. They feature coffee from Moschetti in Vallejo, one of my favorite coffee roasters in the area. They have a very limited selection of pastries and donuts in the morning but a nice selection of "toasts" plus some other options that look good. I'm a barbarian so I simply order a slice of dry toast to dip in my coffee. It is a very comfortable place to sit and do work or read or even chat with someone at the table next to you. So, basically, good but limited food, excellent coffee, very pleasant setting (bright, roomy, not too loud, nice people). It's on First Street, so it also offers a nice area in which to walk around, and parking is generally pretty easy (although I just walk here). There is a good ice cream store right across the street, and there's currently a notice in the window that they've applied for a liquor license, so I imagine there are a few menu changes coming in the future. What I truly enjoy about this cafe is the staff. Once you have been coming in on a regular basis, they remember your coffee order. They remember your name. They know how you like your toast, and they anticipate (so don't change your order!). There are too many places where the employees barely make eye contact with you. This is not one of them. I tend to order my toast in a particular way (well, I use various punch lines). The employee taking my order remembered my order from a few days earlier. The picture I've attached shows how she entered it in the register, without any prompting from me. Another barista found out that I like to dip my toast in my coffee, so she started cutting it lengthwise for me to facilitate dipping. Without any prompting from me. There are many cafes; the quality of the people working there (and the quality of the coffee, of course) are what makes one better than another. Throw in a sense of humor and I'll keep coming back. read more

Instead of coffee, I really wanted a tea latte yesterday. It was a Sunday and quite busy, but the line was short when I went in and service was quick. Came here on Saturday morning to try out this new spot. I had the honey latte and an everything toast. This was easily one of the best honey lattes that I've had in a long time. The coffee was smooth and I could taste the honey without it being too sweet. My everything toast is exactly as I remember it being when this was under States Bread & Coffee. Service was also great! I dined in and staff made regular rounds to tables to proactively help folks clean up. The interior is exactly the same as the former location, which is rustic, farm-chic. I love that Benicia still has a spot like this to come to! read more

Majestic Café -- Benicia, CA I really wanted to love Majestic Café after being a longtime customer and huge fan of State's Coffee at this location for many years. The spot in downtown Benicia is wonderful -- inviting, walkable, and just a short drive away -- so I was excited to give the new café a try. Unfortunately, the coffee beans they're using now just don't measure up. The drink I used to look forward to every day feels flat and underwhelming, and it's disappointing enough that I no longer feel eager to stop in. I genuinely hope they consider switching to another roaster -- something like Theory Coffee, which has been consistently excellent -- because this location truly has so much potential. read more

Whenever I travel to a new city, I try a latte from a highly rated café in the area to get my caffeine for the day. I decided to try Majestic Café because I was in the area and it was highly rated. The interior feels inviting and there is a good amount of tables and seats. The service is also friendly, however, I agree with the other 2 star reviews that the coffee falls flat. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and for some reason the coffee tastes watered down or half the strength of what I'm normally used to from my other favorite cafés or even what I make at home with my Breville. I was disappointed because most of the reviews were good, so I was expecting more. Maybe their non-coffee drinks and food are what they focus more on. read more

This is a comfortable cafe right on the main street of Benicia. Good wifi, comfortable seating inside and out, clean, and the noise level is good. They feature Moschetti's coffee, my favorite, from Vallejo. They can basically make you anything you want (coffeewise), have a good selection of pastries, and also offer a selection of "toasts" (such as avocado toast, etc.). The staff is very friendly. Majestic Cafe is where States Coffee/Farm & Flour used to be. It kept the same interior and some of the same food items (the toast) and some new drinks! I tried their blueberry muffin latte with 2% milk and I was so happy that they followed my request for a not-too-sweet latte. It's perfect! I also got their everything toast, which has cream cheese and their everything seasoning. It has a bit of a kick to it, so if you don't like spicy, opt for no seasoning. I also added cucumbers because I recall the old recipe having cucumber. I do like the price point, the toast and coffee aren't too pricey in my opinion. It's pretty standard for a cafe.
