I would love to camp out here like I do at the 24th St. Starbucks, but with nicer decor and free wi-fi from next door (Texadelphia, you guys rock). The parking hasn't been a problem for me (about 8 spots in front, shared with the dry cleaners and Tex), and if there's no spots available, there's usually residential parking available not 50 feet away. This was my first time here at this Starbucks and man, was it fast!! My cousin and I were in a hurry and although a drive thru would have been ideal, this place did the job. I asked for a grande china green tips with honey, and they actually hand squeezed it for me instead if giving me those difficult messy packets. What Starbucks actually takes the time to do that these days?? The one Thing that I didn't like about this place was the extremely small parking lot right off of a busy street. There were no spots at all!! I, sadly, had to put my hazards on in the handicap space while my cousin waited in the car. This rating isn't for the store as a whole because I love this location because 99.9% of the staff is amazing and its location is right next to my work. So, this is for the barista who just "corrected" me. Prior to this job, I worked at a Starbucks for about 2 years and I never went out of my way after being asked to do something to "correct" them. If someone ordered a drink with soy even if the sticker didn't say no whip, etc I would always ask the customer if they wanted whip. I always assumed soy meant no whip. This barista, when i asked for no whip as he handed me my whipped drink, was quick to correct me and said next time ask for no whip. When I responded with that its a soy drink he snarkily said "Even if it's soy." I didn't even get a chance to say anything back. No other barista there, no matter if they are new, has ever put whip on my soy drink. They always ask if they are unsure. I've been a Starbucks Gold member for an embarrassingly large percentage of my life, so I think I can reasonably consider myself a judge of what makes a good Starbucks. This location ranks among my favorite for the abundance of seating options and availability, but this still does lose a star for the very limited availability of parking out front (though there is a strip of parking spots on the left side!) This Starbucks was good to me - got a lot of my senior thesis done when I was attending UT here (though should have gotten more of it done than I did truth be told). It's a Starbucks. You get the usual Starbucks products, service and cleanliness. Parking is limited and could be a challenge at times.

The employees are pretty nice, but my simple order hasn't been made correctly in years. My friend just gets a brewed coffee, and even that was wrong today. Brewed coffee was next to water despite being Gold Coast. It wouldn't be a problem to wait a couple minutes for a complete brew, but the executive decision was made to serve a terrible cup of the simplest product made in the store. I was lucky to order pike place in my short breve misto, so the brewed coffee in my drink was fine. However, I ordered it breve, payed 60 cents more, and watched the barista with red dreadlocks pour 2% milk into a pitcher, steam it carelessly, and top off my to be breve misto with scorched 2% milk. When I asked if the drink was breve, he confirmed that it was. I spent years of my life working for Starbucks, and I know the barista was counting on my ignorance to spare himself the gut wrenching 4 additional seconds it would take to reach into the fridge under the counter and grab the half & half that makes a breve misto 60 cents more expensive than the crap I was served today. read more

I usually just go to this Starbucks because it is convenient. It's clean, service is usually good, and there are a lot of places close by to eat. Not a big fan of Starbucks coffee but they do carry Starbucks reserve beans and a clover coffee machine. So you can get a decent cup of jo. I'm also a sucker for their seasonal drinks. read more

If the employee's did not crawl along at the pace of a snail, maybe it would be worth one star. Waiting 15-20 minutes for one beverage when there are 4 baristas behind the counter designated to making drinks is completely outrageous. Going here on a break is not worth it, you won't get back to your job on time. Don't go here, go to one of the others in the neighborhood. The cashiers are slow too, maybe it's the mentality here in Texas but everywhere has people who have places to be and Starbucks is a fast food coffee shop, so pick up the pace please. read more

Neighboring businesses have reserved spots and they tow. This place gets super busy too. Very disappointed. This is two stars for the service I received. Decided to take a break from my local cafes to work from a Starbucks as I had a gift card. 1. Austin is supposed to be eco-friendly. All the people who are staying in the cafe have paper mugs. The workers are too lazy to ask what type of mug they want ("to go" or "for here"). 2. I asked for a tea for here (i.e., mug) received it in a paper cup. He switched it after I asked again that I wanted it in a mug. 3. Felt rushed. Was placing order pre-register with one worker, another was yelling at me to come to the register. Felt it was rude to cut off conversation mid-sentence to go to guy at register. 4. Internet unreliable. Had gmail and one other website open and took 5 minutes to load. I have a brand new mac that always works for internet. Will not be returning even though I live close by. I'm sticking to local cafes whose employees care about attention to detail and whose internet works. read more

This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. The management plays the music incredibly loud (louder than any I've ever been to) and will not rectify the issue after multiple requests. In addition to the loudness, the tables wobble, there were small nails sticking out the side of one of the walls (near the bathroom) which cut into my shirt. The staff I spoke with regarding issues were relatively cold and inconsiderate. It looked like some of the other patrons around me felt the same way. I generally like Starbucks, but the two times I've been here have been awful. It may just be the management during the times I went. Very disappointing. read more

Dear Starbucks at 15th Street in Austin. You need to teach your "baristas" some manners and how to read your menu. My co-worker stopped by and graciously was going to bring me back a white chocolate mocha. Well your "barista" gave her a plain mocha and then argued with her for about 5 minutes that it was a white chocolate mocha. Friend gave up, came back to office and one sip- it's a bitter plain mocha. Soooo disappointed not only about the drink but about the attitude. This is my favorite starbucks! They all seem to know my name and remember my drink order. On more than one occasion they've already had my iced white mocha made for me when they see me walking in. This is the best Starbucks I have ever been to, especially if you actually purchase something and not just sit there and use their free wi-fi. The management plays the best music and at just the right volume; it's not too loud or too quiet. It's just perfect. The management and staff are always available and willing to rectify any requests you may have. You can can tell they actually care about their customers, which is noticeable by all of the smiles on all of the surrounding patrons. I went at 8:30 one morning and they were playing some sexually explicit music with expletives really loud. I was with my two little kids so it felt extra inconsiderate. When I asked if they could change the music, they did and were polite about it though.
