I've been a Starbucks reward member for more than 10 years and have never felt the need to write a review until my interactions with a specific employee. The ambiance of this location feels homey with lots of couches and places to work if you need to. The location is very spacious, one of the bigger ones I've come across. The majority of the employees are kind. There are a few that could use some customer service training at this location but I won't name names. Who I will name is Aaron. I come here quite a bit and Aaron consistently has my order ready to go by the time I arrive. I know if he's there my drink will be perfectly made. He's kind, friendly, and takes the time to know the customer. I sincerely thought he was a manager by how well composed, friendly, compassionate and professional he comes off. I hope with me writing this review his manager will take notice! There are quite a few Starbucks in my area especially on my way to work. I have been meeting with my students there for pre and post conference d for clinicals... but the music is annoyingly loud ( pretty sure that is on purpose to keep people from staying very long). I get it, but we all do purchase items while we are there so they do make money from us. I am going to look for a quieter location though where we can study and not have to shout over the sound system. Too bad all the libraries are closed on Sundays! This SB is a relatively new location. I believe it took over a bank building. Consequently, he ambiance is quite nice with a much larger floor space and seating area than most other newer SB that are down sizing and eliminating seating. The music is usually quite loud. The current hours are about 4:00 AM-11:00 PM, which is also much longer than most post-COVID hours elsewhere. The majority of the people who work here are very nice. The few who are not are not rude, but just cold and task oriented. While experiences may vary, they have gotten our dine in and mobile orders done in a reasonable amount of time--super quick when not busy and a reasonable of time when busy. The food and drinks are typical SB quality which can vary from store to store and depending on the barista. Overall the quality has been average to good. Arcadia is a slightly nicer area than some of the surrounding areas and not as wealthy as others, but this location generally has far fess homeless people so far. On this visit one man who may or may not be homeless got super irate and was screaming at the staff. This was unusual for this location. I Could not hear what the problem was, but it sounded like the staff asked him to leave and he did with his drink in hand. The reason for noting this was the staffs response. Someone who appeared to be the manager walked the floor and asked if all the customers were ok and if they needed anything. Not sure if she would have given us anything if we asked, but it was a nice gesture. If you want to study here, tables are less crowded before 8:00 AM and then vary after that. Weekends can get crowded, but we have been able to at least get some seat so far, unlike other coffee shops in the area. Definitely recommend giving this location a try for drinks, food, or a place to study. read more

Visitation Rights: Been here once, but I can be a repeat patronizer if i'm passing through the area. Background On Visit: Looked really nice in the front when I would drive by in multiple occasions. So two weeks ago, I decided to patronize the shop. Cost Point: Food items/drink items are marked up a bit. A usual tall cup of coffee with a bring your own cup ($0.10 discount) would cost $2.85. Over at this location, it would cost $3.15 with the discount. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Restrooms: They're available. No pin code needed. Location/Parking: Major cross streets are Duarte and Baldwin. It's located diagonal from either the old Burlington Coat Factory parking structure and Vons. There's a location similar to this concept on Rosemead Blvd. and Garvey. Heard from a barista behind the register that it's been closed down. There's parking, but can be filled up really fast. Plus, it's located on a busy street. So drive safe. Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with modern furnishings. Seems like a great place to do work/study. In the center of the shop, they have about 6 desks with a lamp and usb/usb-c outlet to charge your devices. They don't have any 3-prong outlets, but I'm sure you can buy a usb-c/usb to 3-pronged adapter on amazon and bring it to use at the shop. Might have an issue to keep a laptop charged, because insufficient power output with a usb/usbc outlet. Then again, I might be wrong. It's also a great place to loaf around if you like. Service: Service was okay. The barista's were friendly and my coffee didn't take long to get into my hands. Drink Of Choice: Tall pike drip coffee. Coffee taste was consistent to other locations. Starbucks For Thought: Wouldn't mind coming back if I want to get some work done/shoot the breeze/get some me time in to re-center before going on with the rest of my day. read more

COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. The staff also wears gloves when handling food. There are no hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place has some indoor & outdoor seating available with limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is behind / next to the building. The lot can get full very quickly, so come during an odd hour. Each parking space seems decent. Ambiance: Cozy, upscale, clean, and chill vibes. Staff: I actually wanted to write this post to thank barista, Sofia, for her help today. A patient that I took care of very graciously gave me a Starbucks gift card loaded with $20. I had some problems loading the gift card onto my Starbucks app, and I also had some issues in person with the gift card. Sofia kindly took the time to help me solve this issue. She was very kind, empathetic, understanding, friendly, and helpful. She went above and beyond to help me with my problem when she simply could have just said, "No, we can't help you with this." This is by far one of the nicer Starbucks locations it gives you a feeling of nostalgia and it is very loud though so you're not going to be able to have any intimate conversations here frequently see students working and people on their laptops sitting for a long period of time but there's plenty of seating so you should be able to find a seat the parking lot is almost always full and I don't know why everybody always Parks their car backwards in and there's charging stations as well as a drive-thru this building used to be a bank so the ceilings are super tall and the architecture and read more

Alright, this location always do me dirty. The first time I ordered an iced shaken espresso, they gave me a brown sugar iced shaken espresso. I didn't want to complain and just drank it. I didn't like the the taste of the drink at all but sucked it up. The second time I ordered an iced shaken espresso, they did the same mistake. They made me a brown sugar iced shaken espresso AGAIN! This time, I was really wanted to drink my actual drink that I ordered so I asked them to remake it to the original with no brown sugar. The girl in the drive thru hands me a cup full of ice with a splash of coffee. I kid you not, I stared at the cup in shock at my drink. I could finish the whole thing in one sip. There was literally no coffee in my cup and it was jammed pack with ice. I hand back the drink to the cashier and ask for actual coffee in my cup. She says "the drink comes with a lot of ice" and I'm like is the coffee in the room with us?! She proceeds ro pour milk in my drink and so now I'm stuck with an iced milk drink. I just drove away and give up at this point. I go literally two blocks down the street to the other starbucks down the corner where they made me a REAL iced shaken espresso with actual coffee in it and less ice. Man, this location sucks. I rarely do reviews for corporate places but after a few times of coming to this Starbucks location, I really have to give the staff a shoutout for just being consistently friendly, upbeat, clean and positive. Today specifically, David was the superstar of my day so shoutout to David for being so nice! Been having a few study sessions here to get my head out of my normal environment and to be honest this place can get busy and full a lot of times but if you're willing to wait at peak hours, you'll eventually find a seat. They have a fully loaded pastry bar every time I've passed by and it all looks so enticing. The greenery of the plants inside makes this location so aesthetic. There are many Starbucks out there but today I happen to come to this one and boy was I pleasantly surprised. The seating is ample and modern. The furniture is unique and comfortable. They can do a better job cleaning tables as it felt a bit sticky but by en large I have no complaints. The drinks were also good but standard. I highly recommend this location. read more

I've been to this Starbucks multiple times. It's relatively new and replace the old one that was across the street near the Vons. This one has high ceilings and the inside is beautiful! A lot of seating available, but most of the time it is full. So you have to come early to get a good spot. They have limited seating outside. But its exposed. This location also has a drive thru available. The parking lot is small and limited. There is street parking but you have to walk. Drinks are great! On a Saturday afternoon in early August, my sister and I drove by to see if it was opened. It's next to Arcadia post office. Inside interior is very big and comfortable like a library setting. There are study desks, sofa with tables and communal table. It wasn't crowded yet. Nice AC inside. The staff was nice and helpful and monitor shows of list of drinks ready. The used to be Universal Bank location magically turned into a Starbucks with drive thru. Lots of power and USB charging station located on the side of the seats. Music is slightly louder than I prefer. The skylight brings in the natural light and illuminates the place in any types of weather. Outside comes with two electrical charging stations. It's been years since I ordered coffee from Starbucks, as they masked the coffee flavor with sugary flavors. Came in on Christmas to try their Cortado, which was newly released in early January. It's made with three ristretto shots of Blonde Espresso (a sweeter, richer espresso) and perfectly steamed whole milk, served in an 8oz cup for a balanced, velvety, and subtly sweet coffee drink. You can also customize and substitute the milk with non dairy milk. It's a game changer! You can taste the coffee nuance's notes, balanced by a subtle sweetness and creaminess from the milk. I assume the label is more of a suggestion than an instruction? Or maybe it's decorative. Who's to say. This wasn't a complex, high-maintenance order. I didn't ask for oat milk foam infused with moonlight. I asked for the absence of whipped cream. Somehow, that proved impossible. Van and Dad were in town to visit the grandparents. Dad, the architect loves old buildings so he wanted to check this one out - it's an old bank that has been converted to a Starbucks. We didn't know what to expect in this nice little area of town. Well, the Starbucks in Las Vegas and Henderson could take a lot of lessons from this place. Van and Dad were greeted by a very nice person whose name I did not get - our drinks were excellent. The interior did not disappoint. It looked great and was clean and comfortable. We walked home and agreed that this was a great location. When it was time to return to Las Vegas, we decided to try the drive-through. Our order was taken by probably the nicest barista of all time, named Sophia. We would've bought $1000 worth of things from her, she was so friendly (if we had the money).
