It's been quite some time since I've been to Yogurtland, but their Friday BOGO deal pulled me right back in. We decided to try the Arcadia location because we figured the Las Tunas one would be way too packed (and we were not trying to fight for froyo peace in that plaza). There was a line outside -- maybe about 15 people ahead of us -- but honestly the wait wasn't bad at all, around 15 minutes. Plenty of parking nearby, which is always a win. Now let's talk pricing... I forgot how much froyo costs these days, but when we checked out, both yogurts rang up to $20! Luckily, thanks to the BOGO deal, it came out to $10 for both, which felt like we hit the jackpot. Service was super fast -- in and out, no issues. The only little downfall: I'm a plain tart forever kind of girl, and since it's the first flavor, I'm guessing everyone else had the same idea. By the time I got to it, it was a bit watery, probably still being refilled or mixed. They also featured their 20th anniversary flavor "Super Tart," which tasted basically identical to the original tart... still good, but I didn't notice much of a difference. Variety of toppings although they should be on top of their refill especially on bogo days, there were a few that were completely empty. Should feature new toppings like blackberry, longan so there are more new varieties to choose from. Overall, thankful for a good BOGO moment, but I will say Yogurtland is definitely way more expensive than it used to be. The shop itself is clean, spacious, and has a few tables to sit and enjoy. I found out they have new ownership, which totally makes sense why the past two times I've been here they've been a little behind. Last time it was poorly cleaned. This time some toppings were missing like Mochi, gram cracker dust, coconut shreds. They used to have everything. Hoping their team gets the hang of things soon. Today something possessed me to try plain tart, toasted coconut and Alphonso mango. Quite honestly the best combination I've had in a minute. I think this will be the last time I come apparently since they are under new management they don't accept online coupons the quarterly coupon to be exact never have I had this experience. I've always been able to come in with the coupon on my phone even as of last week 10/10. I don't see why they couldn't honor it if no where in the policy it states that The online coupon is not allowed. I was disappointed with my visit to this location. The plain tart had a noticeably different taste compared to the San Gabriel location I usually frequent, and not in a good way. I arrived around 9:30 PM, and the first thing I noticed was the overwhelming smell of bleach when I walked in, which wasn't very inviting. To top it off, the plain tart machine didn't have the design cap on, so my yogurt came out looking unappetizing, more like dog poop than the usual swirled presentation. I'd honestly give this store no stars if I could. Used to be my absolute go to store, but something changed this summer. I suspected new ownership & today got my confirmation of that fact. Multiple times I've gone and been disappointed, but still came back because the staff was always friendly. The last couple of times I've gone, they have had machines down so flavors have been unavailable, sample cups have been unavailable to try the flavors they do have, toppings have been unavailable as well, and there has been a lack of premade cups on display. Today I got confirmation of new ownership as I went and the store was not open with this sign on the store door. This is incredibly disappointing that whoever was working had to pick up the slack of night shift and in turn, the store lost customers. This was my last straw and I will not be returning to this location after my many years of being a patron here. First time I've been to this location. Not sure if it's always busy, but there was a track meet on this Saturday. The influx of participants and family members were like a revolving door it felt like when we arrived. A bit tough to keep the lobby area clean with such activity. I didn't see anyone cleaning the lobby while we sat and had our yogurt. Our checkout person was cleaning the toppings area while we made our way to checkout. There was no greeting by her when it came to paying. In fact, I don't recall her telling us the price for what we purchased. Maybe she was distracted with whatever was coming out of her ear pod she had in her ear. It felt like she was going through the motions. Which tarnished the customer service experience. While I was grabbing my food from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment. Parking: This establishment shares a parking lot with several other establishments including a supermarket. The parking lot gets full very quickly and easily during the weekends. So, avoid coming here on the weekends to avoid traffic and the hustle and bustle. Parking can be very easy during the weekdays. The parking spots are a bit tight though, so be very careful. Food: The froyos here are bomb. They switch up the flavors every couple of months, but I got the taro, vanilla, and strawberry. Loved it! Quite an interesting experience. Recently been pretty lucky at avoiding crowds and long lines. I came by this Yogurtland in Arcadia to pick up a bowl of frozen yogurt one evening. The frozen yogurt dispensing machines were pulled back into their kitchen and were easily viewed through Saran-wrapped windows. The server asked me to let him know when to stop dispensing the yogurt for each flavor. He was super helpful. Only thing I would ask next time is to not have the yogurt packed/pounded into the container since the swirls are part of the food art that feeds my eyes while I feed my stomach! Ha, not a biggie as it all goes in the belly the same way. For the base, I chose the fresh strawberry, plain tart, dragon passion tart, pineapple & greens smoothie bowl, and cheesecake. Some of the fresh fruit toppings didn't look fresh. I chose blueberries, kiwis and asked for strawberries from the refill containers behind the counter. Then, I asked to add dark chocolate bits and crushed almonds. Everything tasted great although I probably won't get the pineapple & greens smoothie bowl again. It's a great concept and tasted just like pineapple, spinach, and kale, but not my cup of yogurt. Other customers were mindful of social distancing so that was a relief. Safe to go in and out. Only problem I had with the service/time in the store was that it took quite a few minutes to make a payment. A few hours later, I remembered that there's a Yogurtland reward program. The server had not said anything and then just mentioned the price. I was not asked for a reward account. I really hope he was not adding my hefty yogurt cup order to someone else's account because that would not be nice. Didn't receive a receipt either so not sure how much my yogurt weighed or the cost per oz. The price used to be posted on the wall behind the cashier, maybe I didn't notice it this time. The total came out to a little less than $10. There was so much frozen yogurt that I saved some for the next day, yum! Worst Yogurtland I've ever been to. OMG Came here Tuesday night at 8:15. A family of 5 was being helped, another family of 3, a baby and her mother and then me. Only one worker during this shift and he was doing everything by himself. Pouring the yogurt into the cup, adding toppings, sealing the cups, ringing them up, AND bagging it before getting to the next guest. Every Yogurtland I've been to has AT LEAST a minimum of 2-3 workers... even when it's slow. The phone was ringing and the poor worker couldn't even answer the calls because he was trying his best to get to everyone. I know times are tough, but you can't run a Yogurtland location with only ONE WORKER! It just doesn't make any sense to me and it's ridiculously slow. It would make more sense to maybe let one of the workers go if it's slow, closer to closing time. To add to the frustration, only 5 machines out of 8 were running (check the photos). So ridiculous. I got here at 8:10 and left at 8:40... literally the LONGEST it ever took at any location and I've been to a busier Yogurtland during the Pandemic. I will not come to this location ever again. The Pasadena location on Lake is far more efficient with one person grabbing the Yogurt and the other staying behind the counter for toppings and ring up. Yogurt land is the perfect combination of quality product, laid-back atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Interestingly, the thing that I like about them the most is also the thing that I hate: they are constantly changing their flavors, offering new and exciting things... But generally, only for a limited time. Seasonal flavors are always amazing. Currently, they are offering a pumpkin that will curl your toes with joy when you eat it. A well appointed toppings bar rounds out the dozen or so flavors being offered at any given time. This place can get pretty crowded, and parking in the Life Plaza is kind of a pain in the butt. There is an Arcadia supermarket anchor tenant, A few restaurants, and some boutique like stores. One other important note: this particular location is adjacent to one of the most dangerous crosswalks in the city, located mid block on Duarte Road. If for whatever reason you need to cross the street, please make sure that you look both ways, hold hands, and try to make eye contact with drivers. Love love love Yogurtland. So many flavor and topping selections. Unlike Pinkberry and Red Mango, you can get the yogurt yourself and get as much as you want, since they charge by weight. If you ask, the cashier will give you little sample cups to try out the different flavors. I'd recommend filling your cup half way, adding toppings, then add more frozen yogurt, and then toppings again, so that you have toppings all the way through your dessert. Mine turned out so well I felt like I was falling into it as I was eating it. The store itself was clean and organized. The employees were friendly and attentive. The price was good for the amount of yogurt and toppings I got, and everything tasted amazing, so I'd definitely come back. Yogurtlands should be everywhere read more
