First time trying this place out! And it was stunning! I would highly recommend this place to all ice cream lovers or should I say gelato lovers interested in tasting some delicious gelato flavors. It's located right here by the entrance of the Santa Anita mall by the big parking lot. We came in during the weekend, so it was kind of busy in the parking lot, it was a little hard looking for parking, but we were able to find parking. And right before we entered the mall, I saw this place right beside the entrance and decided to try it out because it was also a hot day of 90°F. They had lots and lots of flavors. There were also some flavors that were running out as well. But I would highly recommend this place to each and one of you out there in the city of Arcadia or in the state of California. Baccio di Latte is one of our favorite spots for gelato. It's located just outside the mall near the food court exit, and every time we've gone, there's been a line. Most of the wait comes from the people sampling different flavors, kudos to the staff who seem so patient and friendly. My husband and I usually skip the taste-testing and go straight for our favorites: pistachio, hazelnut, and coffee. The pistachio is my absolute favorite and I order it almost every time. Another thing I love is that the piccolo size is already a good portion, and you can get two flavors in that smallest cup, which is something you can't do at Venchi. I got to try the cookies and cream and the hazelnut chocolate, which the hazelnut chocolate was really good! I really enjoyed the little hazelnut surprises in there. It was also veryyyy rich. The cookies and cream was kind of mid, it felt like there wasn't enough of the "oreo" taste to it, but the consistency was still pretty nice. I got to try the pistachio chocolate next time and it was also very good! The pistachio was very rich and I enjoyed the chocolate crunch here and there. I was here around 8:40pm, and they were offering 50% off cups, cones, and affogatos during training. There was a long line. I didn't get to the front until 9:30pm. I guess a lot of people were asking for samples because the server let me try more than two flavors. They were so patient. I loved the Belgian chocolate, gianduiotto, and pistachio flavors. If you get a regular cup size $8.95, you can get up to three flavors. The smaller piccolo size $7.95 can get up to two flavors. The waffle cone is really good too. You can pay $1.50 to have the syrup and extra $0.95 to have pistachio or other nuts sprinkled onto it. It's so delicious! Pints are going for $15. This new gelato spot is located at the parking lot closest to The Cheesecake Factory. If you are inside the food court, go outside and look for the horse statues by Marugame Udon. Located near AMC and Cheesecake Factory, it's not hard to find. There's limited seating inside. Staff were friendly and patient as I decided on my flavors. I got to sample a few also. I ended up getting the grande size with 3 flavors (max 4 flavors). Regular price is $11.45 but came down to $5 due to the promo. They had limited flavors compared to what was on their menu. My favorite are the nut based - pistachios and hazelnut. It has so much flavors and tastes like the real ingredients. The other standout was the passionfruit. Real passionfruit swirled in sweet cream gelato. The slight tanginess compliments so well to the sweet cream. I also ordered coconut matcha. Rich matcha concentrate swirled into coconut based gelato. The coconut flavor is very faint but it's there. The matcha part is outstanding. Deeply green and intense tea flavor. I really liked it but I'd like it even more if it's with sweet cream gelato instead of coconut? But I applaud the flavor combination they come up with. The service is friendly. The staff is kind to let you try different flavors. It has the same aesthetic as the other locations. It's warm and welcoming and feels upscale. The gelato and cones are pricey. The employees are friendly and they help give you some samples first before you decide which flavors you want. I ended up getting the grande cup with the blueberry and passionfruit swirl. They are generous with the scoops but at regular price, it would be a bit pricey. The passionfruit tasted very fresh and light with real passionfruit juice that you can taste. The blueberry tasted creamier but also full of blueberry flavor. It is a bit heavier but still good. Both were delicious! They have lots of flavors on their menu but not all of them are at the store since I think they rotate it. There are also some seasonal flavors which is cool. Today was the grand opening, and all the gelato was 50% off, which was a pretty great way to try it out! The line wasn't too long and moved pretty quickly. The workers were also really nice and offered samples of the different flavors, which I appreciated. One small disappointment was that some of the flavors available didn't match what was listed on the menu, so we weren't able to try the flavors we originally wanted. That said, it was opening day, so I'm sure there were bound to be a few hiccups. The gelato itself had a really nice, smooth texture, although it did melt a little faster than I would've liked. We tried three flavors: Classic Bacio di Latte - Mildly rich but still light and easy to eat. A solid flavor if you want something creamy without being too heavy. Passion Fruit Swirl - The passion fruit flavor wasn't overly strong, but you could still taste it enough. There were these weird doughy balls mixed in that were super sweet, though, and I could've done without those. Strawberry Sorbet - Definitely the best of the three! You can really taste the fresh strawberries in it, and it had a nice natural fruit flavor. There's minimal seating inside, but there's plenty of seating outside if you want to sit and enjoy your gelato. They also have a rewards program where you can add your phone number to earn points, which is a nice bonus if you plan on coming back. Overall, a good first experience, especially with the grand-opening discount. There were a few minor issues, but nothing too surprising for opening day. This place is delish!! Our first time to this location was their soft opening, we didn't realize it, but we waited in line for close to 1hr. Let's just say after the outstanding service we received from all staff down to the manager it was so worth it and we'd do it again. This team was great, their attitudes were on point for being 30mins before closing at 11pm. I can only imagine how many smiles they've had to keep on their faces. Well they did it well. Let's just say I've already been back and again amazing service not to mention delicious gelato was served up. Back story my first experience was with the Pasadena location and it was not good at all. I reached out to corporate that's how bad my customer service was. Oh I am so mad. I've been to multiple locations. I've been to this location twice and today I decided to pick up a pint. I always get the same Crema Torino the ultimate hazelnut experience. I love hazelnut it's the only one I get time and time again. Bought the pint took it home to eat I open it and it looks off. Lighter different. I take a bite that's peanut butter. They labeled the pint wrong. I'm so upset because why is y $16+ pint not what it says it is. Also extremely dangerous if I had been allergic to peanuts. My night is genuinely more ruined than it already was. Update. I got my mum who's never been here to try it. Unbiased and I didn't tell her what it was supposed to taste like. Simply asked hey what's this taste like to you she smelt it said smells like peanut then tasted it and said "oh that's like peanut butter with chocolate". It's been about 5 day and still no real replay just a pr trained one. I thought they were taking it seriously but then it was radio silence for 4 days and they never actually said what would be done. Bacio di Latte prides itself on using high-quality ingredients and traditional Italian techniques to create its gelato, aiming for that authentic creamy texture and intense flavor.Angel shared the amazing story and background of where Bacio de latte was created and i was very incredibly surprised that they started in brazil and they expanded internationally to other places they have over 400 stores in brazil which is incredible to hear. I love knowing the background story of how places are created and he told me everything about it.
