Stopped by on a rainy morning on my way to work and was pleasantly surprised. The space is clean, modern, and has a really welcoming feel--an easy place to start the day. Service was quick and efficient without feeling rushed. The staff kept things moving smoothly, which I appreciated during a busy morning window. I ordered a latte--solid overall with good flavor and balance. It came out hot, though just slightly under what I'd consider perfect temperature (around a 4/5 on the hot scale). Still very enjoyable. Overall, a reliable stop for a morning coffee--clean, friendly, and efficient. Well done... A+

Good coffee. Staff was nice. They also sell freshly ground coffee. Also looks like a nice spot to meet up someone for coffee. It's kind of small though, so if it's quiet everyone might hear your conversation! Located in trader joe's plaza. Convenient after grocery run. Walk there, no need to find another parking.

Klatch coffee is one of my favorite coffee roasters in LA County. The espresso is smooth and creamy, the vanilla is house-made and they offer a variety of specialized coffee drinks. The staff is friendly and the seating is plentiful. Great vibe inside for working on your laptop. Drinks are less pricey than most coffee spots. Highly recommend.

Coffee people! I'm not a hard core coffee drinker but I tell you this place serves other drinks, pastries & light bites. Tried their Passion fruit drink with ham & cheese croissant (yummmy!). My daughter had crème brûlée drink ( delicious ‼) Mike made taste a shot ( coffee) that made me wake up- whooohooo- brain on the roof Come and check it out- it's located on East Pasadena corner San Gabriel Blvd & Huntington. Food 100% Service 100% Ambiance - cozy & warm100%

I always wanted to try this spot but it's a bit out of the way for me. But now that I've tried it, I wish there was a closer location to me! I tried the iced Mexican Mocha. It was delicious. I also loved the atmosphere. Very chill. Not hectic like Starbucks. I was able to order online while I was placing an order at B-Mans next door. Very convenient!

This is definitely one of my favorite coffee shops! Not only was the coffee delicious but the staff were so nice! They're open daily 6am on weedays and 7am on weekends until 6pm Inside was quite small but had a few tables, free wifi, and a couple power outlets! Parking was ok but could be difficult since it's located in the same plaza as Trader Joe's and a couple other businesses Service was so friendly and welcoming! Menu had a good variety of coffee and non-coffee drinks, as well as food items Prices were reasonable and most drinks were under $5! Food had a good variety of pastries, sandwiches, toasts, etc and were reasonably priced (under $10!) Iced Mocha ($4.75) was so delicious! It was so creamy and not too sweet. The coffee was strong and not bitter. Got it half sweet with less ice and oat milk and it was very yummy! This was 9/10 Iced Vanilla Latte ($4.50) was pretty good! Got it half sweet and less sweet and it was not too sweet. The coffee tasted pretty subtle and wasn't too strong or bitter. This was 7.5/10 Lavender Goat Cheese Honey Toast ($6.25) was very tasty! It was covered with goat cheese and it wasn't too salty. The toast was very fresh and the honey wasn't too sweet! Really enjoyed the sweet and savory so this was 8/10 Definitely would recommend and return

4.5 stars. Service was fine/good. Parking lot is always bad cuz it's shared with Trader Joe's. Always busy and hectic. Like their coffee & food. Their breakfast items are pretty good. DRINKS: Iced Creme Brûlée 4.5/5 My go to or favorite from here. It's really sweet, but tasty. Hot Vanilla Bean Latte 4/5 Good, but extremely sweet. It actually tasted sweeter than my Iced Creme Brûlée FOOD: Turkey Pesto Panini 4.5/5 Liked it. Thought it was good Turkey Provolone 4/5 Decent. Bf thought it would have been better with artisanal bread. PASTRIES/BAKED GOODS Ham Croissant 4.5/5

Brenda, Brenda, Brenda. You made my day. Thank you so much for making my coworkers so happy with excellent coffee. Turner is lucky to have you with your sparkling personality and kindness. Klatch is delicious and so are you!

There was ample seating but still pretty full for a weekday morning. I came in around 9am for an iced coffee. There were a few groups either hanging out or working. The service was nice but it was pretty slow. Took about 15 minutes for me to get my drink. I got the iced crème brûlée and it's usually made with half and half. The drink reminds me of coffee ice cream. It was a good drink but I didn't care for the wait.

I used the Klatch Coffee website to place an order online the day before for a 6:45 AM pickup. I got 24 cinnamon twists @ $3.50 each. Yes, do the math LOL. For special instructions, I asked for each of them to be bagged in a pastry bag and then all of them to be boxed. I was over one hour late due to traffic unfortunately. I made sure I called to let them know that I was still on my way to pick up my order. I did already paid for it LOL. Upon entry, I was greeted right away. Ambiance was bright and welcoming. I walked up to the counter and gave the lady my name and she said my order has been ready. I know LOL. Each were double bagged entirely from front to back which I wasn't expecting. There were 2 big brown bags each with 12 cinnamon twists. I didn't eat a cinnamon twist until later in the day. When I did eat it, I was slightly disappointed... it was kind of soft. Don't get me wrong, it was still tasty. But I was expecting it to be flaky and crispy like all the previous times. I think they bagged them when they were not thoroughly cooled down... hence, still baking in the bags LOL. They needed to settle. Lesson learned. No more requesting them to be pre-bagged. Thanks Klatch Coffee, but no thanks! I love their cinnamon twist so I'll still be back for it again and again... no doubt about that.

Amazing coffee! Super rich and baristas are so nice and helpful. Try it! I usually get the caramel brûlée with breve. The seasonal pumpkin is good as well. Sometimes too sweet but I ask for less syrup.

I forgot, it's something blended with espresso and Oreo

I asked for something on the menu that they no longer had. The employees were super nice and recommended something else with the similar vibe. The employee Ciro is the best. It also tastes very good and has a good price Edit: I came back the next day and ordered the Sweet peach tea, very good. I also got a cinnamon twist.

6/7/2026 BLACK…read moreTRUFFLE MUSHROOM DANISH The danish croissant had beautiful laminated, buttery, crispy layers. The béchamel was a bit clunky in texture. Good amount of black truffle flavor. Mushrooms weren't overly mushy and good flavor and texture. Gruyère cheese brought a lovely salty, cheesy flavor. Overall, okay, but not great. Arugula wilts and it was tough to eat after I reheated it in the toaster oven. I was advised to reheat the danish in the toaster oven before consuming, which I did. DUBAI PISTACHIO CHOCOLATE CROISSANT Rich and very pistachio-forward flavor! This was done well! Tasted like dubai chocolate in croissant form. However, the croissant was not as crispy and was on the softer side. Crispy kataifi on top brought that crispy texture. Savory unsweetened pistachio custard. The sweetness came from the chocolate drizzle over the croissant and the kataifi. Overall, enjoyed it! CHOCOLATE PECAN PRESSED CROISSANT Crispy, crunchy, flaky, buttery, caramelized layers! It does remind you of a flattened more crispier, buttery palmier and maybe even a mille feuille! The plain pressed croissant tasted like caramelized sugar with a buttery flakiness from the croissant. The chocolate pecan side was delicious with dark chocolate and crunchy pecans on top of that buttery, flaky, crispy pressed croissant! Recommend! 8 PCS ASSORTED MINI CHOUX SET You choose what flavors you want. I chose the following. Black Sesame Hoijicha - Strong hojicha flavor right off the bat! I barely taste the black sesame, except when you eat the black sesame paste at the top of the cream puff. When you bite into the whole cream puff, you only get the hojicha flavor. Very good and if you're a hojicha lover, you won't regret getting this! Taro Salted Egg Yolk - A new flavor that was added recently. You can taste the taro on top and the salted egg yolk on the bottom when eaten separately. But when eaten together, depending on where your tongue hits, you get more taro or salted yolk. Choux pastry is crunchy. This was delicious and definitely a repeat order too! I asked the owner and they will continue with this new flavor for now. They did not have the Koyamaen Matcha, when I purchased it via HotPlate. They ran out of it when I went to pick-up at the bakery, so they offered a refund or to replace with another mini choux. They brought back the Maple Pecan with Dark Chocolate Coating as a temporary replacement for the Koyamaen Matcha. But I opted for another Taro Salted Egg Yolk. Classic 64% Chocolate, Lemon Delight, Signature Biscoff Crunch were my other mini choux orders. All consistently delicious and done well. Please see my previous review on these flavors. RASPBERRY, ROSE & LYCHEE CROIFFIN This new edition was not part of Hotplate. I had to order it separately in-store. But wow, this was absolutely delightful! The cream had a pink color with swirls of raspberry compote and there were pieces of real lychee inside! The rose flavor was not overpowering, but complemented both the raspberry cream. The croiffin was flaky, crispy and buttery! This is my new favorite, very good and well done! I will continue to order this as long as it is available! JAPANESE BLACK SESAME CREAM TOP Love all things black sesame. So had to order this! This took a bit of wait time, much longer than expected. This was a simple latte style iced coffee with black sesame cream top. You can taste the coffee, but there was also milk in it, so it was a milkier coffee. Once you mix the black sesame cream top, all you can taste is the black sesame. So yes, it is a strong black sesame flavor in this drink. It was good, but not great to order for the second time. ONLINE ORDER Ordered via Hotplate.com. This has been the easiest way to order and pick-up. Super easy and not fussy at all! Once you order once via Hotplate.com, they give you the option for drop alerts via text when Browned goes live for future orders. You can also order directly via website as well. Make sure you have your confirmation email and order number ready for pick-up. CUSTOMER SERVICE Excellent service! They forgot to give me part of my online order and immediately called me and texted me making sure I won't leave without it! The owner and patisserie chef apologized, yet so relieved I did not leave without my order. She was so sweet and kind! I chatted with her as she was packing up my order. INDOOR + OUTDOOR SEATING AVAILABLE No seats for large groups. PARKING Free parking is available at The One Residential in basement P1. You can see Browned straight ahead as you arrive from the parking elevator. Personally, I recommend street parking. If you arrive before noon, there is free street parking right outside of The One Residential. It is much easier to drive out and also the parking garage is very small, dark and very narrow to drive through.

I found Browned tucked inside a mixed-use retail apartment complex. You really have to know it is…read morethere or you might walk past it! It is a bakery from Macau that focuses on crispy cream puffs that aren't too sweet. They come in unique flavors like Earl Grey, green tea, blueberry, and Dong Ding Oolong. I grabbed their six piece cream puff set for my first visit, as I wanted to try out more flavors at once. Luckily for me, I got some of the last few items as the owner explained that they tend to sell out. The puffs run a bit smaller than what you might expect from other competitors; however, it didn't deter me. The spot does not have a lot of seating aside from a few barstools, so you might have to plan for that. Once I got my cream puffs, the texture is what got me. The crispy outside gives a nice crunch when you bite in, then you get hit with soft cream filling that is "not too sweet". With clean flavors that come out without any artificial aftertaste, I really enjoyed what I had. The owner comes from Hong Kong as she used to run a bakery there as well before this. If you have the chance to talk with her you'll see how much she loves what she does. She lit up when asked about the flavors and shared a couple quick stories about her time there. Super friendly. Overall, I left happy and already thinking about when I should visit next. If you have been searching for a cream puff done a little differently, try Browned. You'll be surprised.

I had kei coffee house's hojicha a couple days ago so I had pretty strong memories and kei's was soo mid. Chapresso's hojicha is so underrated and deserves more love! I also got their matcha strawberry. Their matcha is sourced from an award-winning farm in Asia and WOW it really tasted good. I just had the viral Matsu Matcha a few hours before too and boy chapresso did not disappoint! Also they use chopped up strawberries I saw the matcha and hojicha are freshly made to order and hand whisked too :) My friend also said the gyokuro tasted like the one from orobae in oc (iykyk)

I was so excited for the gyokuro milk tea because gyokuro is probably my favorite tea, and I can't quite describe what the gyokuro here tasted like. I can say, however, it didn't taste anything like gyokuro. It was weirdly floral, not quite jasmine-like floral, and had a weird and honestly kind of gross flavor I guess is a way to put it. It completely lacked the fresh buttery greens quality of real gyokuro. The jasmine was okay. I gave up on the hojicha without even trying it after everyone else wound up not liking their teas either (they didn't dislike it as much as I did with the gyokuro, it just wasn't great). Reviews seem positive for this place so I dunno what was up with our drinks. While the tea flavor, at least for the jasmine, was strong, it was so strong it tasted almost artificial (compared to similar tea-forward places).

I like to come here with my laptop, tablet, and journal to "lock in," and I often get a lot done. I'm currently writing this on a Wednesday afternoon (around 2:45 PM) in June, and it is not busy at all. Some people are sitting and working on their computers, but the parking lot is pretty much empty. Probably the emptiest I've seen it (and it gets very very busy). The wifi wasn't working when I arrived. My devices were connecting to the network, but nothing was loading, and I kept getting those "Check your connection" messages. There was a male staff member checking in on everyone, so I asked about the wifi. He checked and said they restarted the router, and shortly, I was able to connect and be online! So thank you :) Drinks are still unique. Every once in a while, there are special deals and discounts and seasonal drinks of course. I'm glad to see they made the black sesame matcha a permanent addition to the menu, because it often sold out quickly during spooky season. Still recommend Bopomofo. I haven't been to any of their other locations, but it's nice to see them expand. Congrats btw! I hope they come out with a rewards loyalty program tho.

It consisted of a house made scallion pancake with chicken tender, egg, cabbage, Thai basil, and cheese. It looked pretty small similar to a snack wrap but it was very filling. The chicken tender was similar to popcorn chicken. Wished it was more crispy since it seemed pretty dry and not much of a crunch. The pancake was a bit bland but I enjoyed that it wasn't as oily as scallion pancake usually is at other places. Overall, I felt like this was slightly overpriced but it was worth trying! The Black Sesame Matcha ($8.50) was amazing! I got it in large so that was extra $1. Requested it with regular ice, half sweet, and oat milk and really enjoyed that it wasn't packed with ice and not overly sweet. It's nice that they don't charge extra for milk substitutions! The matcha tasted very rich in flavor and I could tell they most likely use ceremonial quality matcha. The sesame was very nutty and really enjoyed that they make it in-house. This was definitely one of my favorite drinks! NOTE: it's very important to give it a good stir prior to drinking otherwise the sesame just sinks on the bottom! The Lychee Pear Blossom ($8) was so good! I got it half sweet with regular ice and it was just the right amount of sweetness and ice! Loved how they use fresh lychee and pear with no artificial colors or flavor! This drink was very refreshing and fruity! The green tea wasn't too overpowering and made the drink even more enjoyable! Overall, I really enjoyed my drinks and the wrap was ok. The prices are slightly higher than other cafes but it's nice that they use real fruits without any artificial flavors or colors unlike many other places!

It's also filled with a light, soft cream. DELICIOUS! I arrived at Old Ferry Donut (San Gabriel) on a Wednesday (around 3:42PM). Parking is simple. There's a competitive customer parking lot. And there's a city public parking lot about a two minute walk away. Staff is very friendly, professional, and welcoming. Staff maintained a bright smile throughout my visit. Staff immediately helped me. Customers can order at the self-service kiosk or counter; however, the kiosk felt very dated & the prices on the kiosk felt less transparent. I recommend just ordering at the counter. There's no penalty for using card at this donut establishment. As mentioned, I love the Tiramisu Donut ($4.95). It's not too sweet; rather, it all felt balanced. However, this is a VERY messy donut; I recommend eating this donut with a fork and knife. The powder fall everywhere, and your clothes can quickly get stained with chocolate powder. Still, it's a delicious pastry. On ambiance, Old Ferry Donut (San Gabriel) is comfortable. This business is more reminiscent of a cafe than a typical donut shop. There's customer internet with password; details on the counter. There's a gender neutral restroom. And there's an electrical outlet & outlet adaptor for devices. The location is fairly small; there's one interior table and one small counter. Fortunately, this place felt airy and well-ventilated. There's also some upbeat, fun music in this clean spot. Overall, I found unexpected joy at Old Ferry Donut (San Gabriel). There's sincere passion & hard work within these walls. If searching for a special donut for a special someone, this is an easy spot to recommend. 4.9 out of 5! Go!

This particular location though, could use some work with consistency. The selection and quality of pastries and drinks seem to vary throughout my many visits. My top pastries are all of their croissant-like pastries, especially the Pastry Frank (filled with a savory sausage inside) and Mini Strawberry Lemon Cream Croissant (filled with a smooth and tangy lemon cream and fresh strawberries that add a tartness). Both of these have flaky, buttery exterior shells that are wonderful to bite into. For cakes, I love the strawberry soft cream cake. This cake is simple, light, and not too sweet. The thin layers of vanilla, soft cream, and strawberries blend excellently together. I appreciate that they provide free candles with whole cakes. An underrated cake is the green tea roll cake, which is delicious, but not ideal for celebrations.
