My family and I have been coming to this Starbucks almost every day for over a year. We've been trying to exercise, and it just so happens that this Starbucks is a 20 minute walk one-way. We love this Starbucks for a lot of reasons: it's proximity, the fact that we can rest and get a drink before we walk back, it's always clean, and it's some pretty great coffee to boot. But the thing that makes this location stand out is the baristas. I don't think I've ever met a better, friendlier staff. I know very well that when you have hundreds of customers per day, it's understandable to not remember everyone that comes through more than a vague familiarity ("oh, this guy likes nonfat milk" or "she always gets a cold brew"). So when the staff (and even the newer employees who started only recently) asked me for my name - and then remembered it - and always asked me what I was up to or where I'd been when I didn't show up or even if I'd seen Avengers: Endgame and what I thought and would joke around with me, it made what might look like a regular old Starbucks that much warmer and cozier. Now I get excited about my walks not only for the exercise but also because I get to see the really cool baristas like Sean and Megan and Bri and Susie (I wish I could name drop everyone) that always invite me in every single time. read more

Anyone that knows me, knows that I LOVE Starbucks. This one, is the slowest one I have ever been to. There is always a long line to wait in before getting to order your drink. Then there's the wait time to actually have your drink in hand. Next, the parking lot is always full. They actually have a security guard checking on your car and that you are actually parking in their lot to patron the store. He followed me in the other day. Which I found rude and intimidating. I did not appreciate it. He saw me walk into the store..... You can see that I have been regularly checking in here and even have posted a photo from this particular store. It is NOT worth your time to go to this store. You will leave unhappy, frustrated and wasted at least 30-40 minutes of your time. On a positive note, the Barista's are probably the best Barista's I have come across. Which is why I give this store a 2. Great personality's and always have a smile on their face. They really do work hard at this store. It's apparent to anyone that patronizing this store regularly. It's a shame. They are extremely friendly and have always made my drink just the way I have ordered it. I'm not quite sure if the store is just small or what exactly the "situation" is here at this store. But, I will not be a returnee. I'm done. Period. The store is extremely clean and the Pastry selection is always clean, well stocked and very appetizing. It's really a shame that the store has such long lines and NO parking ever. I parked 2 blocks away the other day just to get my regular drink, Iced Venti Toffee Nut Latte. Love this location. Staff is always friendly and they've never messed up my order. It can get really busy sometimes but they make up for it and sometimes give me a free coffee the next time I come in for waiting so long the last time which I think is really thoughtful. This is a typical Starbucks, with the regular drinks and foods. Staff is nice I've never had a problem. But. I would avoid it if you can because it's a busy one. There's always lots of people and it's hard to find a seat. Also, the parking lot! Hard to find parking. If I decide to go there I usually just go ahead and park on Huntington because I hate driving in and not finding anything. If you have a little bit of time, find another one nearby. There's one eastbound past the 210, also another one on Foothill towards Pasadena. Oh and about the whole lots of people thing.... Don't even bother in the morning before your commute. A solid Starbucks that consistent with everything you'd expect from a Starbucks, as least from a drinks perspective. Swung by on a Friday night and place was clean and service was great. They have a number of small tables great for doing work or just using the free wi-fi. They also have the table top chargers for phones, but unless you have a compatible phone, it's pretty useless since they don't carry adapters for it, or at least didn't have the rings when I was there. Poor service. Starbucks is supposed to be known for their service. These employees need retraining. Waited for 10 minutes for a wrap. Went up to ask about it. The cashier had forgotten to put it in the oven, but didn't say sorry or anything for that matter. Waited another 5 minutes, still no wrap. Let's just say, I have never been to a worst Starbucks in my life with the most rude service until now. Let's just say, when I asked them to fix my order which they messed up. Light cream and got all cream in my venti ice coffee. Didn't get an apology instead an eye roll and attitude from Jenny then the other girl who made the coffee. After that I asked for my two other items and it was passed on to a guy to get it done. This whole process was over 15 mins and my mobile order said items should've been done in 2-6 mins. I came here usually order coffee. However, they have secret menu now or you can create your own drink, as long as they have the ingredients. I came here many times, the service was ok, the quality of the drinks was not bad. Now the only reason for me to come here is the secret menu which I can avoid the artificial sugar and create my own drinks :) read more

I like this little Starbucks. It's close to my work and the staff is always very nice. They are generally quick, even if they look busy.

Not a good Arcadia, Ca Starbucks experience tonight. On my way home I stopped to get sushi for diner and since there was no line at the Starbucks next door to the sushi place I decided to go in to get a cup of coffee for the trip home which is one hour plus. It did not go well, the barista, Sean, said "I'll be right with you" as I approached the counter and since there was no line I took him at his word. The minutes went buy and he kept being a barista and making drinks but no sign of helping me nor the people now behind me. After five minutes or so he said "may I help you" and took my order. I was already pretty upset and let him know that although there was no line I had to wait longer than when there is a line and asked for my drink to be on the house. He thought about it for a moment and replied no. Well, I paid for my drink but left with a sad memory about Starbucks and my experience there. The other employee was cleaning up counters so I asked him if it was just them two working tonight to which he said no, there is three of us but the manager is on a meal beak. I hope they take notice that when you have customers waiting in line that should be their number one priority not cleaning up or wondering around the facility. read more

This particular Starbucks is a little out of my way, but I find myself driving the extra 10 minutes after work, once or twice a week, because of the two workers Josh and Lizard. They make a great team. I am never disappointed. I happened to walk in one day during some type of deal day and it was very busy. Typical size, layout, etc. Very little Riff Raff in this part of the SGV. Typical group of suburban customers. A fruit bowl of strawberries and kiwi fruit, $3.45 Most Americans make the mistake of calling Kiwi Fruit, simpy Kiwi, A Kiwi is not a fruit, it is either: A) A flightless bird from New Zealand with a long beak B) Someone from New Zealand (colloquialism) C) Pet dog on the former French Anime show, Code Lyoko. Grande Soy Latte, $3.45. The soy is $0.40 more than a milk Latte. Why go Skinny when you can go Soy? They usually use Vanilla flavorred Soy, so it tastes better. With the price of Soy beans and Coffee beans going up, will a Grande Soy Latte soon be the price of a gallon of regular gas? read more

Late review: I was mistreated by the employee named Chris along with another customer. I placed a mobile order and was picking up with my 9 year old son. Upon arrival, the employee Chris put on the counter 1 bag along with the drink I ordered. I told Chris that I would like less ice in my drink and I was calling the store beforehand and no one had answered. He offered to make another one. I looked in the bag and only saw the madeleines and the croissant that I ordered. I then saw him sliding another bag onto the counter, and my first reaction was to look in the bag. I saw that there were breakfast sandwiches inside and reached in to count. At this moment, another customer had approached the counter and said the bag was his. I was a bit confused and told him that was mine. The employee said that bag belonged to the other customer. The customer started yelling at me and said why did I touch his bag, and that he didn't know where my hand had been. I told Chirs that I also ordered breakfast sandwiches and I thought that was mine. By that time Chris also started yelling at me and said but why did I reach in the bag?! I had two men tag teaming me yelling at me in a store full of people in front of my child. Chris offered to make new ones for the other customer and the customer continued to talk loudly on the phone rudely about the situation and how I have reached in and touch his food, as if I did that purposely. RIght away, Chris quietly put my other bag with my sandwiches onto the counter that has been sitting there the whole time. He didn't check correctly in the first place that I had more to my order. Everything happened so fast and yes by mistake I thought the second bag was mine. It was already demeaning enough to have another male customer yelling at me, speaking to me rudely and then have an employee yelling at me at the same time asking twice why touched his bag. Is this how customers are being treated? Was it necessary for Chris to yell at me in front of other people and my son? It was his mistake not to hand me my complete order in the beginning. I came home calling the store and was only able to talk to the assistant manager and she said she would talk to Chris, and that she wished there was more she could do. This is not okay Starbucks! Your employees need more training in regards to how to treat your customers. I hate it that my son had to witness the whole thing. read more

Hmmmm, in my line of work if someone places an order for something 10 times the size of my average customer, they are treated with extra special care. This particular Starbucks does not appear to operate with the same philosophy. When I ordered a 12 cup to-go carrier and a dozen pastries I was met with a loud sigh and the unfriendly announcement that it would take 5 to 10 minutes. I was running a little late but said I would wait. THIRTY minutes later I received my order... and only after I asked for it again. I was bringing the coffee to a meeting in order to go the extra mile for friends, colleagues, potential clients. Instead I wound up looking like a jackass that shows up 30 minutes late for meetings. I purchased my 2 Starbucks cups as Christmas gifts few weeks ago, and I specially asked about the returning policy before I made the purchase. I was being told that as long as I have the receipt and do it within 60 days, I should be able to receive a full refund. When I went back (within two weeks) to return one of the cups and I was told that since the item is now on sale, they cannot give me a full refund. WITHOUT EVEN TRYING they told me there is nothing they can do. This is not just one associate but the entire store. And if I insisted on a full refund, I will have to come back because the manager is not there. The biggest problem I have with this experience is the way how they handle the situation. The associates who helped me seem indifferent and unapologetic. When I mentioned that I specially asked if I can get a full refund before I made the purchase, I was told that they were unaware of the item would go on sale. This make no sense to me. The associate even told me that most likely the manager will not be able to give me a full refund. I end up going to the Starbucks a few blocks away, and guess what THEY WERE ABLE TO GIVE ME A FULL REFUND. I actually left my number to have the manager call me back but he never did. Conclusion: AVIOD THIS STARBUCKS AT ALL COST!!! Go to the one on 612 Huntington Dr., they are nicer and provides excellent customer service, and their coffee is equally good. read more

This review is strictly for the customer service I received this morning my first time using the mobile order app... SUPER convenient - ordered my drinks and was ready at the bar for me when I walked in within 5 minutes of my order processing while I was...driving...I mean parked on the side of the road. I don't drive and use my phone, of course not. I walked in and went toward the pick-up section of the bar. As soon as I approached to grab my order, a barista shouted out THANK YOU, OPHELIA! HAVE A GREAT DAY!! That totally was sweet and made my day. The little things!! She didn't have to acknowledge me, but she did and did it in an awesome fashion. I wish I had gotten her name. I came to this store before my big trip to any where for breakfast and morning coffee. The line was so long that line up till the door. 8-10 customer in front of me when I arrive there on weekday morning but was ok during weekend morning. Service is always great. I usually come here on Fridays and Sundays, and parking isn't too bad. The drinks are good, and I never have to wait too long for them (: If you're in a hurry, you can always order your drinks online and come to pick it up! They have cell phone charging rings, which are useful; one time, this girl sitting next to me at the bar-like table asked me for the time since her phone died, but she was able to charge it and call her parents to pick her up. Yay! There is seating both inside and outside, and I have always been able to find a table to sit with my friends, no matter how busy Starbucks gets. If you sit outside, you'll smell the food from the Japanese restaurant next door... but other than that, it's pretty nice! read more

This Starbucks has such friendly staff and a good amount of tables. It's a great place for people to just sit and hang out. Often times, you'll see people sitting out on the patio people watching or watching the cars drive by on Huntington. Parking in this lot is pretty easy as well. There are always spots and this Starbucks is easy to find. Every time I've been here, it's normally pretty busy but they're efficient at getting their drinks out which is great! read more

Not really one of the better Starbucks I've been to. My main grip is the limited seating and even more limited outlets. It's also pretty crowded for being a small store. At least you can kinda see the San Gabriel mountains as your backdrop (behind the Embassy Suites and other businesses in the area). Parking isn't that great either.... sometimes it's better just to snag a spot on Huntington. But at least all my orders have come out right. read more

i like the location of this place, and I've had some good times here, but its the ONLY place that has fucked up my chai tea latte... no starbucks, whyyyyyy AND its impossible to grab a seat when you want to kick it with friends. i once had to wrestle a chair away from a homeless man who was talking to himself, and other times i had to steal a sofa chair and combine it with a chair i stole from a couple of students. it gets congested when its cold outside. otherwise the place is dependable for your coffee fix. read more

My favorite coffee place in the entire world! The baristas always know your name if you become a regular there or they happen to remember your face when they see you more than once. I see the regulars talking and hanging out with each other here every morning. I've made friends here just by stopping by for a cup of coffee. It has that small coffee house feeling that I absolutely adore! I'm sad that they'll be turning into a drive through soon but I know that they'll still keep up that amazing charm!
