First visit to the Starbucks at the Aiea Shopping Center. I have the mobile app which encourages the customer to spend more money via rewards while maintaining convenience...what every corporate establishment strives to accomplish. I am an average consumer, in that, I buy into both the convenience and rewards. Starbucks locations are omnipresent and their early hours often make them the only option. So, why is this my initial visit? I am rarely in the Aiea Heights neighborhood. On the corner of Moanalua Road and Aiea Heights Drive, this is an older mall. Two levels with two levels of parking; there are a lot of parking stalls, especially on the street level. I got my frappucino at the given estimated time. I needed some caffeine and sugar. Store is clean and the employee who made my drink was polite...all you can ask for...as the end of the lunch rush was hectic. read more

One of those location you forget it's there... I've been to many establishments around here and somehow never made it here "mind boggling!" After leaving Pearl City making my way to town I almost got whiplash from that "aha!" moment when I got that sudden Starbucks cravings when I seen that faded sign afar. Located right across Aiea Medical Building this shopping center is home to many places and tucked away on the ground floor is this Starbucks right beside L&L parking since it's somewhat detached from the main building was a breeze. Walking in was surprised to see how small it was basically is their counter with four tables running right along the windows with their merchandise shelving dividing the two this cozy location was nice since I did arrive late in the day it was basically empty. Immediately greeted by two guys it's a very nice and cozy place though is at a busy intersection and exit is in just one direction is the only negative thing but did love it regardless as I'm familiar with this location and will try to remember whenever I'm here. Ordered iced quad salted caramel. It was like they added spoonful of salt . The on top foam was ok but when you drink from straw it was terrible. I had to ask my daughter to taste and she agreed. Won't order that again or go to that Starbucks . We go there quite often I think I'll change location. Talk to manager nick and had no problem picking up another the next day. So we walked in, we didn't get serve after waiting for over 10 minutes in front of register because the register personnel saw me, she didn't say anything to me like "take your time", etc., no sense of Aloha. She just walked to the bar micromanaging the trainee talking about "you did it wrong " ( no constructive criticism ). Drink was ok, we had to come back because one of our drink didn't taste right, I mean the trainee was just nervous. I get it. But the behavior the other personnel towards me was an absolutely unacceptable while she was so nice to other customers like she was selectively nice. I went two days ago for a trenta star berry açaí refresher, no ice no water, and a venti caramel frap. The cashier was super nice, the man making my drinks was also very nice. I asked for a small cup of water while he was making my drinks since I hadn't drank or eaten anything that day and he was super nice. The problem is the cup and lids. On the drive home, the lid on my trenta was on fully, but somehow it was continuously leaking, down the side and onto my water's lid, which then leaked onto the seat. All of the leaking soaked the cup holder and when I got home, the moment I picked up the cup holder, the drinks just fell and it was just wasted, all over the curb. It was a tragic moment. read more

I've always know this starbucks being here but I've never visited til last week. Being right across the st from the Aiea Medical Building and right below my favorite restaurant for oxtail, I might be coming here more often... after a Dr's visit its our usual routine to have a sweet treat afterward and sometimes if its early morning coffee is def a must! After getting out of my chiropractor appointment my gf sent me a recipe to try and report back. I took it as a sign to get to the nearest Starbucks. Finding parking was easy and close by. Placing my mobile order was simple. Picking up my order was just as easy. This location is very spacious. There's a few tables and chairs inside along the front window. Couple more tables and chairs outside. At the pick up there are a couple of tables lined up and drinks are able to be spaced away from each other. Napkin dispenser right there, a must for me. No problems with my custom drink order. The worker even commented how interesting it was and she needed to try it later lol. Although the drink is not my usual and still unsure if I'd order it again, it was made exactly as I requested and looked totally yum. Def sure I will be back at this Starbucks though. read more

Just came for a caramel macchiato which the barrister made fine enough, but of the open tables that were available, they were unfortunately disgustingly dirty, covered with crumbs and dried up coffee, even the chair had crumbs on it. And throughout the hour that i spent, nobody could wipe tables or sweep the floor. I brushed the crumbs off the open table onto the floor so i could sit, i guess the roaches will feast tonight as they probably do every night seeing how the staff makes no effort to keep the shop clean, even when there are no customers waiting. must be a nice job to kick back in the back room and not care. read more

Came here wanting to try the chocolate cold brew. I went inside and it was busy. I stood in line and was helped right away. The cashier was nice. I got a grande chocolate cold brew and a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Total came out to $11 and some change. Not bad. I got my sandwich first and then the cold brew. The sandwich was delicious and so good. Bacon was plentiful and the sandwich itself was good. However my chocolate cream cold brew was just okay. I tasted a hint of chocolate but I prefer my salted caramel cold brew. That drink is pretty good. I didn't really care for it but at least I got to try the chocolate cream cold brew. Just okay and nothing to write home about. My go to will be the salted caramel cold brew until the pumpkin spice cold brew comes back. Plenty of parking up front. I go to my neighborhood Starbucks at least once a week. Everyone who goes to Starbucks usually has their favorite go-to menu item. This review is more about the Starbucks app. I love the ease of this app since its roll-out many moons ago. I've had few glitches but overall it's quick to order your faves. I enjoy the bonus stars & frequent promos to get you to buy more & earn bonus stars. Yes, they got me there The order I had placed this day was a promo. I live within a couple miles of 2 Starbucks. I like going to the Aiea location because my order is always ready by the time I get there. Rarely have I had to wait. And, 99% of the time, my order is correct. Fast & friendly staff. I wish they still had their curbside pick-up. At one point during covid they did but then stopped while other locations kept theirs. Aiea used to have less than stellar service but over the yrs, they have much improved. The only times now that I go to the Stadium location, is if my drink is sold out. My current faves are the new iced oat milk shaken espresso lattes . The only downside to it, they're way over priced. read more

During one of my Sunday Funday outing, I was in the area for a pick up and happen to need coffee and Bday gift card, so I made an impromptu stop here at this Aiea Starbucks location, I sort of missed the turn so I had to make an illegal left turn from the main road. The only thing I dislike is entering and exiting this location. Nice and small Starbucks with lots of parking. I noticed the plant stand upon entering. I love plants so this caught my eyes! During my visit, there was a cup of rosemary near the pick up window, I love seeing the use of greens & I also love the decor here. I got my gift card, my hot coffee with a pump of pumpkin spice and at this location is where I've noticed the red velvet loaf, my favorites are the banana and pumpkin. I know this red velvet loaf is going to be my new favorite too. This is available for limited time for Valentines per Barista. I couldn't wait so I had a bite of my red velvet loaf in the car and fell in love. The red velvet taste like a mix of pound cake & red velvet, since I didn't plan on getting the loaf I had pumpkin flavor coffee so it kind of didn't go well together, haha but I enjoyed them both. The service was excellent, Barista was friendly, upon entering all staff greeted me. If I am in the area again I would make a stop at this Starbucks again. Remind myself that I need to get more red velvet loaf before it will be gone and I have to wait til next year for more. If you see the red velvet loaf give it a try, I am a fan! I think this one of the best Starbucks on the leeward side. The store is always clean, the baristas are always helpful and friendly and the line always moves quickly. They are out of a few items and because they are a high volume store the holidays can be crazy. Located by Times, Hawaii USA federal credit union and L n L drive inn, it's a busy shopping center with lots of parking. Gotta update my post that raves about how Starbucks didn't have the tip option when you pay with a debit or credit card. I went to the Ala Moana location, and I guess they changed their card machines to now ask for tips like many other businesses that panhandle. Again, put a tip cup and if people wish to leave a tip, they may. Leave this crap off the machines. I bought cold brews at least 5 times a week and now I found instant coffee mixes easily and adding ice and my own almond milk tastes better than Starbucks cold brew which also adds lots of ice so they give you less product. Super bummed about service at Starbucks these days. I ordered the strawberry açai lemonade, which comes with no water. I order it with no strawberries and no ice. No ice because it makes the drink so watery very quickly in hot Hawaii. I watched the barista behind make my drink and pour water from a jug into my drink before shaking it. When I got my drink, I asked if she put water and She literally outright lied and said she didn't put any water in it. I just don't understand why they can't make the drink the right way or be even be honest. I typically don't write reviews on Starbucks mainly because I always receive top-notch customer service. I routinely visit Starbucks before I start work every morning when I worked in Northern California. This Starbucks is in my neighborhood, and I walk my dog here almost every morning. It was pre-covid when I brought my dog Tootsie here. Seton was the first to come outside and greet Tootsie. Every time, after that, she would come out to say "hi" to Tootsie and bring her water. I love that the barista's at that Starbucks are all very friendly and always engaging in conversation to get to know me. It's also nice that some of them love dogs.One day, I ordered a "puppuccino" for Tootsie. Tootsie gives it two paws up, and she was so excited she dove right in. No matter who makes my drink, it would always comes out consistent in taste. My coffee drink is not complicated or fancy as I always get a five-shot venti iced latte with extra ice. Occasionally, I would get the ham and cheese croissant, that's nice and hot when I pick it up. The croissant is fluffy and soft, and the cheese is perfectly melted. I also like the bacon & gruyère sous vide egg bites. It has a velvet, creamy texture with bits of salty bacon with every bite. Although it comes with two egg bites, I feel like its very filling for me and its packed with protein. The last time I came here, it was after the first lock down when they reopened. There were modifications made to keep their customers safe but, at the same time still provided top-notch customer service. At that time, one door was for people to place orders, and the other was for people to pick-up their orders. The outside was marked so that people distanced 6 feet away from each other. I look forward to the day where we can sit outside and do some people watching or be able to enjoy a coffee with a friend. Just be able to hang out inside the air conditioned store. read more

Store set up so easy coz mobile order is right by the door. In the morning someone's basically meeting you at the door giving you yur drink or coming out even if it wasnt curbside order. PARKING tons of parking in the lot. Unless its a crazy holiday that involves a lot of cooking and people rushing to buy groceries at times Getting out though is tough since theres only 1 exit and youre SUPPOSED to only make a RIGHT turn out. There's never been an issue with my order, which is usually simple, and the Staff always have friendly approachable attitudes. The store is always orderly and well stocked when I'm there, unless the school rush comes in yet that's another story! When you walk in and the baristas at Starbucks knows you by your first name... now that's a good Starbucks! I usually visit this Starbucks early morning before going into work. When I'm there at about 6 ish, there's a good amount of early people on their way to work as well. There are also people studying in the store before school i guess. We arrived just before 3 PM to take advantage of Starbucks' Summer Frappuccino Special that has been going on since May 1. There were several others who were already waiting but as soon as 2:59 hit, they got off from their seats and became like the horses on the Kentucky Derby starting line. By the time my turn came, there a line formed behind me to the entrance...Frappuccino Zombies"! Anyway, because I was ordering 2 drinks off of the Secret Menu, I brought the recipes for Ferrero Rocher and Tiramisu Frappuccinos. Both of beverages contain multiple ingredients that have to be entered into the register for correct portioning and pricing. Barista Emily took my orders and then she and fellow Barista Tasi deftly "whipped out" both frappuccino beverages within a few minutes. Now, a crowd gathered and the line extended outside of the door. Luckily, there were additional baristas on duty so the line moved swiftly and the drinks "kept flowing".
