Walked in telling myself "just one donut"... yeah okay Next thing I know I'm holding a box of 6 like I showed real restraint. My inner fat kid was already side-eyeing me like "we both know that's not enough." That glazed donut though? Unreal. Soft, moist, and that glaze is straight disrespectful. Like melt-in-your-mouth, why-am-I-eating-this-so-fast kinda good. I took one bite and immediately started doing the math on how fast I could turn around and grab more without looking crazy. Halfway through the box I was already mad at myself. Who buys 6?? That's not a quantity, that's a warm-up. Should've got 12 and saved myself the emotional damage. Only reason it's not a 5/5 is because now I'm sitting here donutless, thinking about going back like a man with unfinished business. Next time I'm letting the fat kid make all the decisions
I love stopping by Island Glazed when I'm in Aiea! They have the softest donuts that melt in your mouth and a lot of different flavors to choose from. Their apple fritters are amazing, definitely grab one or two of those each time. Also their guava and Lilikoi donuts are some of my boyfriend's favorites. Super nice owner and he always makes sure to help you decide if you need a hand!

This is An amazing locally owned Donut shop with some of the best tasting, non commercialized donuts! If you haven't been here, it is an absolute must! The staff is so friendly and they are very knowledgeable of their donut flavors and delivery of quality customer service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is a quiet place to stop and do work, or meet with friends or drop in and head to the beach.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I truly appreciate the experience everytime I drop in with my kids.
Donut say it... What took me so long to finally give them a try. As far as I can remember my OG circle of friends we'd categorized ourselves through food as one was ice cream, other fries and me was donut though really not a huge donut fan as many are mass produced items with the traditional glazed topping more as a sugar treat versus a comforting bite. After visiting Claw Fever on this first New Year 2026 day I thought to see what other biz that's offering us their time by opening their doors for us lonely folks and here's Island Glazed with what seems to be a decently stocked display case filled with various fonts with the traditional glazed topping and with some island flavors like Ube, Strawberry Mango, Mango LiHing, Lychee and Pineapple just to name a few it was a difficult choice to pick just one as I was just here for a snack...Strawberry was it. Don't get me wrong as it sounds so basic versus the other bougie choices it was the specks of strawberries that I saw just from the display case that just caught my eye and just had to give them a try as if they can't do strawberry then what lol! All I could taste was strawberries and what a flavor explosion that I didn't expect and as we all have our favorites it was apparent as a guest came in and asked for an item that was sold out contemplated and walked out is disappointment lol so I can understand and appreciate the favorites and gosh I was impressed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe in here is quite cozy with a large comfy sofa and four tables which I took upon as I was in desperate need to find a place to finish my holiday cards to send and immediately knew this was the place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice and cool air conditioned shop though without a bathroom does leave me rethinking my decision.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lots of free parking from Pearl Kai is nice and knowing that I'm able to relax and enjoy here is the real treat along with a nicely rounded meal. But alas, my child's hopes, dreams, and aspirations have kept us apart. A sacrifice, though my heart--and stomach--ache all the same. I still remember that first day you came into my life. Was looking for coffee but instead found a yummy donut place. My kids were very happy about gettin donuts with different flavors too. They also had coffee which was a win for me and I tried their blueberry donut, which was very YUM! The donut was soft and melt in my mouth kind good and the flavor was savory and just the right amount of sweetness. Service was good, the guy was patient and kind especially while we were still deciding. We had just gotten off a red eye from Vegas to Oahu. My daughter went to baggage claim and found coffee for me while I waited at the ride share pickup spot. After picking up her car at a friend's house, she took me to Island Glazed. Nice doughnuts! I' m all about Ube when I'm on island. This gorgeous purple hued donut called out to me. Yummy! It sent me to Ube heaven. Do stop here if you're nearby. 11
Really great island flavors. The donuts are really light and fluffy and not too sweet. My only complaint is the lychee flavor doesn't really come through. Prices were a little high for a donut shop but overall I would recommend.

Took two tries to get the Apple Fritters, scored them on the second attempt. I will admit the pictures I've seen on Yelp are alluring, who doesn't luv an Apple Fritter(?) but these fell flat for me. Maybe it was just the batch I bought but there were so few bites of apples it shouldn't have been labeled as such. The size is very large, the dough tender and sweet, the glaze perfect but two little cubes in the entire fritter doesn't make it in my book of fritters. Parking at Pearl Kai shopping center was great as this was an after lunch pick up. The young man at the counter was so helpful I'd come back just because of him!
Update on Island Glazed well I was craving for some good donuts and of course Island Glazed Pearl Kai shopping center . Last night my nephew friend bought him a dozen donuts from Krispy Kreme (Maui) and I said yeah that's my favorite donuts . Well it wasn't the same compared to the Mainland Krispy Kreme. It wasn't as crispy and the frosting was almost melting . Of course I understand it's hot but when I'm in Vegas during hot season the Krispy Kreme donut can last up to 2days and it's still crispy lol . So that is why today I stopped by Island Glazed my 2nd best donuts in my books . Plus local support

I went around 12:30pm, selection was scarce. Go early. She said the ones that are out, she could make really quick or gas in the back, then I asked for about 5 different doughnuts that she checked and said they were out and cannot make. I settled on a dozen, 2 glazed, 1 strawberry mango, 1 choc mac nut, 1 pb & j, and 1 oreo ubae. I didn't really care for them. The doughnuts were soft but like, flat. Kind of like soggy. Can tell it was sitting for a long time. A lot of interesting flavors. It's good that they sold out of a lot by noon! If you come by, make sure to go early or it's slim pickings. There was a young boy who loved Island Glazed Donuts so much that he wrote a note to "Mr. Donut" aka owner, Daniel Lee. With the note was an adorable Hot Wheel Donut race car! See photo. It touched Daniel and he kept the note and Hot Wheel Donut car in an auspicious place on a store shelf. Next to it was an interesting looking Lucky Cat type doll. Not a cat but a collector type Lucky Figure given to Daniel by his friend. Daniel says, I think it's supposed to bring my donut shop good luck. Well, it's nearing it's 2nd year anniversary. So congratulations Daniel! You may wonder why I wanted to share these heartfelt stories with you? It's because it reflects the owner's character and Aloha. I picked the six pack of donuts to buy. I started to select flavors and asked Daniel for suggestions. He knew which ones were popular, so I just asked him to pick the six! Every donut was fluffy, light and full of flavor! Some reviews mentioned the donuts are oily. None of the donuts I tried were oily. The donuts were light, fluffy and the glaze (although on the sweet side) were delicious. I think my favorites were the chocolate macadamia donut and strawberry glazed donut. The donuts are still great the next day. I placed the extras in the refrigerator. Microwave for 10 seconds or less, for a soft texture or just eat straight out of the box lol. So happy I stopped by to try Island Glaze! I'll be back! Support Local! Thank you Daniel. They were at the Wai Kai Thursday night food truck event and had tried th and I'm hooked! It reminds us of krispy cream but better. They're all so super nice and extremely friendly there and at the Pearl Kai location where we had it again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's so cute inside and plenty of room for groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A lot of flavors but our faves is the coffee, matcha, pb&j. Next time gonna have the long John which is my all time donut! I hope they open up another location more on the west side cause they'll do great! I had Island Glazed bookmarked after seeing all the reviews and social media post, since I LOVE donuts and they are my weakness! I had to save it for a splurge day to finally make it. I am glad they are open on Sundays, which is Sunday Funday for me! We didn't get up bright and early for donuts but we arrived a little past 10 am, luckily the donuts were plentiful. I am loving this business already, love the spacious shop with comfy seats for us to enjoy the goods! Loved the colorful donuts in the display and they also have Kolache ( reminds me of Texas) I miss eating that, but I had my mind set on donuts! We got a half dozen mixed assortment ( $16.99) for my son, his gf & my hubby. One each for me & other half and 2 each for the son and his gf. I also munched on some glazed donut holes. The assortments were pineapple, maple, chocolate mac. nut, & strawberry. I loved that they have a great assortment of flavors. Ok family, "Donut bother me, while I am enjoying my donut!" Although my favorite donut will always be glazed or maple, I will have to come back to try other flavors. The verdict of these donuts, YUMS! From one donut lover to another-approved! I loved how it is glazed, chewy, and with a lite crisp. The rest of the donuts was enjoyed by all. I wish I can eat more than just one donut but I can't go crazy with my splurging, I will save Island Glazed for the next splurge! Overall, great new business to the Pearl Kai Shopping Center. My daughter compared them to a version of Krispy Kreme, but better. Little on the pricey side, but we go back again. read more
Some co-workers and I had lunch at the Taiwanese place in Pearl Kai and one of us needed something extra so we stopped in at Island Glazed, mauka of B-R ice cream. I didn't want anything but they had maple bacon doughnuts! I cannot turn down one of these gems, especially since my co-worker bought it for me. It was so light and fluffy and bacon-y. Stopped by at opening time at 6am to grab some donuts for the office on my way to work. Was a little bummed that they didn't have all the flavors readily available. They had strawberry mango, strawberry, Ube, lilikoi, lychee, and 2 types of sprinkled donuts. Was really looking forward to trying matcha or PB&J. The gal working the front counter greeted me with a warm "good morning." I asked if there were more flavors coming out and she said they were working on another that didn't really pique my interest. I ended up ordering 1 of each flavor in the display case to make a half-dozen box. I tried ube, lilikoi, and strawberry mango flavors -- the donut itself was pillowy and soft, comparable to Krispy Kreme. I didn't pick up a lot of Ube flavor. If I ate this donut with my eyes closed I would think it's a regular glazed donut. Nevertheless it was enjoyable. Lilikoi was pretty good, the flavor was definitely there without being too overly sweet. Will definitely give this spot another shot and come back to try the other flavors. read more

Drive from town to Island Glazed for National Donut Day! The donut was so good that it was worth denting the rim of my tire and losing the tire completely ... let's just say truck drivers should really secure their belongings in the truck bed. [Food and Drink] I tried a 16 oz iced lavender latte with standard whole milk. The purchase of coffee came with a free donut! I played it safe and tried a chocolate sprinkles donut. By the time I visited (~12PM), there weren't many options left! The coffee was a bit too sweet, but the espresso was made with high quality beans. The donut was reminiscent of Krispy Kreme! Perfectly glazed. Delicate and delicious. The one-star deduction is based on my Asian American standard for sweets--everything was just a tad too sweet for me. [Customer Service] The employee was welcoming, patient and kind. He was manning the floor on his own; yet, he provided service with a smile. [Ambiance] The location is super cute. Love the mural inside. Perfect photo opportunity, especially with the donut floatie as a prop! Seating and tables are available--as are toys for kids! Family friendly. Finally a legit place for donuts! The donuts are soft, sweet and savory. There were so many flavors to choose from. I decided on half a dozen assorted donuts and an apple fritter. That apple fritter was so good. As for my assorted donuts, I got ube, sprinkle, ube oreo, oreo, strawberry, and I don't remember the last one. Brought it home to share and the whole family loved all of the donuts. Service was quick. After hearing a lot of hype (and opening the same month we moved out of Aiea!), I finally tried Island Glazed donuts within 30 minutes of opening one morning. The lady who took my order was really nice. I ordered half a dozen glazed and half a dozen mixed, which was ultimately a dozen mixed lol. I had high hopes of this place because the Instagram foodies keep raving about it and because of the high price point, but I found the glazed and lilikoi donuts to be oily. Even Krispy Kreme donuts aren't this oily. I want Island Glazed to do well and I'd like to give them another chance once I hear the donuts aren't oily. They're even military friendly, offering a military discount and opening a second location in AMR! I'm giving them a 4th star for their creative donut flavors. read more

Update 8-25-25 after lunch my husband suggested that we go and get doughnuts. He said we go to island glazed. Still soft and fresh and I chose strawberry frosting, regular glaze, and my husband chose maple glaze. Very good. Will be back again. read more
When friends rave over a business, you listen. It all started at work late last year where I overheard some colleagues talking about Island Glazed (IG), a shop that has amazing donuts with local flair. Hmmm...... Then Ric C. posts his amazing and ongoing UYE Dash for Da Donuts on NY Day at 630am. Venue: IG. I had attended a NYE party at Hawaii Loa Ridge the night before where a lot of firecrackers were set off so I found myself arriving home needing to shower and wash off the gunpowder residue on me. It was now 2am. My alarm clock went off and I stood in the shower long enough where I could drive to the Pearlridge area. IG is located in Pearl Kai Shopping Center and it was a rather quiet morning when I arrived. This is in comparison to all of the fireworks and aerials set off 6 hours ago. I saw a handful of my friends inside and walked into a bright and welcoming establishment with tasteful, yet limited decor highlighting donuts. IG had staffing issues where they were behind schedule with filling their display case. Daniel, the owner, served us that morning and profusely apologized for the inconvenience as many of us traveled far just to attend this get together. No biggie as I had no plans that morning so I waited patiently. Favorite niece by default gave me a wishlist, so I informed Daniel. Unfortunately not all on my list could soon be made so I improvised by selecting what was on hand. I also picked up a couple packs of donuts to give to my neighbors and I made my way home. My family really enjoyed these yeast donuts as it was so soft with great flavors that wasn't overly sweet. My neighbors were also happy with the donuts and asked where I got them. With this great first experience, I made a note for a return visit on MLK morning. I was impressed Daniel remembered me and assisted with my order. Once again, favorite niece by default gave me her wishlist which was longer than the original one. I arrived at about 730am to a nicely display case of assorted donuts. One by one I read off the list and the next thing I know I had a box of assorted, yummy looking donuts placed beautifully. I made sure to get a couple of extras for me as the box was to be dropped off at my sister's. The family and myself thoroughly enjoyed the donuts at IG and have a thing for their kolache, a pig in a blanket concept but donut dough is wrapped around a wiener. Overall, I'm a very happy camper with IG, especially its family approved. I understand there's another location of IG but both locations are a little out of the way. I'd be willing to return again, especially on a holiday where I'm off and there's less cars on the road. read more

The Shop: Location is very convenient with lots of parking and easy to find. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Shop is very clean with a few tables, chairs and a couch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff: Very friendly and welcoming and patient as I had a hard time making a decision as they provide a variety of flavors. The Donut: OMG the donuts is to die for. Donut melts in your mouth. We've had the chocolate sprinkle (Your original chocolate sprinkle donut) matcha donut (the matcha taste is very strong which is a PLUS for me) Passion Fruit (My all time favorite 10/10 highly recommend) chocolate Mc Nut (Not sweet at all which is exactly what we love. My 2nd all time favorite) Strawberry (My daughter never shared lol and wanted to order a second one so she said is 10/10 recommend. Oreo donut (Oreo was nice and soft and super fresh). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Another plus is that they have a little keiki section with toys in case you want to eat your donut right away- Great way to keep the keiki busy while enjoying your donuts and coffee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall: 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

The donuts are great and so is the service! I remember trying a donut from here a while ago and it was pretty good, so I stopped by after work to pick up 2 dozen for my friend's dinner party. They have a huge variety of flavors, but the owner helped me pick out two colorful and delicious boxes of their bestselling donuts. Wish I could've tried more flavors, but they got decimated pretty quickly! I can confirm that the lihing pineapple donut is delicious, unfortunately the guava I was hoping to try myself got eaten before I got to try one. Make sure to put some aside for yourself :') they're fresh, light and fluffy without being oily. Will have to stop by to try some of the other flavors. I DID get to try the apple turnover, very good, super soft and just the right amount of sweet. It was kinda malasada-ish with the slightly doughy, sticky middle. Very good with the bits of apple mixed in. The owner also hooked me up with a strawberry matcha latte while I was waiting for my ride, and it was super good, not overly sweet and with a nice fresh, strong matcha flavor. Not what I came for but definitely would recommend trying some of their drinks of they're all this good! read more

Come at 6AM bc the donuts are sooo fresh!! It's probably the most I've spent on donuts but so worth it! And you know what?!? It's a local business so come support them! read more
Newish donut shop in the Pearl Kai shopping center. Nice and clean with what seemed like pretty good foot traffic at 7a.m. On a Friday morning. The guy was nice and patient with us. The donuts are so soft, flavoring was good but they're a tad bit greasy. read more

If you guys are looking for some seriously onolicious Glazed Donuts, you have to come to Island Glazed located at the Pearl Kai Shopping Center. They have all kinds of flavor's to choose from, but for me I prefer the Original Glazed Donuts. Comevearly in the morning when the Glazed Donut's are nice and warm melts in your mouth. Highly Recommended. Super cool owner and friendly service as well. read more

Holy moly! Best donuts I've ever eaten! Unique variety of flavors...We had the strawberry mango, blueberry, passion fruit, poi glazed and apple fritter. Each one was full of flavor and the yeast dough was soft, fresh, and delightfully fluffy with the perfect density. I'll be dreaming of these and would make a point to return if we're ever back in Hawaii. read more
Variety of options. By far the softest donuts I have ever had. I even joked that my newborn could eat it because it just melts in your mouth. Nice staff. Parking is junk though. It shared with other businesses and you most likely will park a bit further than expected due to the lot's layout. read more

Honest to goodness the best donuts I've had in my life, so far. I have a local shop in Oregon by my grandparents that holds my heart, but Island Glazed makes the most melt-in-you-mouth dough, while glazing the entire donut for a VERY sweet treat. I'm not a cakey kind of donut gal--these are heavenly! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Aiea location in Pearl Kai is super easy to locate, their menu is concise and they are working on adding to it in the future, as well as their current display being quite plentiful as is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's honestly perfect between the coffee, donut and specialty options that you don't get lost while ordering, even for your first time, and you can see the entire setup and display for their stock of donuts and coffee. I hope you all find your perfect recipe to add matcha lattes to the menu soon! Looking at the yelp pictures from others, I thought the fruit glazing might be too rich or taste too much like fresh fruit and contrast with the dough, but they seemingly nailed the flavor profiles well! I JUST bought this half dozen less than 2 hours ago, pregnancy craving for WEEKS, and I have to say, the strawberry is so far my favorite, but I'm super eager to try the dragonfruit one as well! Staff seem very efficient as well as friendly, and I loved the energy when we walked in and when we were serviced. Our experience was short, sweet and our questions were answered with no judgement or hesitation. Even my husband had positive commentary on the way out, and he's often unbiased and keeps a neutral attitude about most things. Lastly, for being near noon on a Sunday, I am astounded we found a donut shop that still had quite a selection--usually you run out of all the good stuff and have very few options left after 10/11 am, but they had plenty of almost every flavor. I am a HUGE fan of donuts on Sundays, I grew up with donuts on Sundays for football season and it has recently been a habit I want to make a standard 1-2 times a month Sunday habit in general, and I just might with Island Glazed! Truly, I cannot wait to come back and try some of their different flavors! read more
