    Ube donut

Came across this donut place upon my search for a coffee shop and found ourselves on military property. It was tucked away in a corner and its kind of easy to miss if you're not looking for the shop directly. The shop itself was very small with no seating indoors, think take-out only. They had a variety of different flavored donuts and we went for Ube. The donut was good but not anything extraordinary. They also offer other drinks and we had an iced macadamia nut latte. The iced latte was delicious (if you like sweet and milky coffee like me).

Not puffy, but flat and dense. With oil.

I was so disgusted by the donuts I picked up I had to immediately come on yelp to leave a review. This is our first time at this location and we had no idea this location existed until we happened upon it when stopping by the PX store or whatever it's called (I'm a civilian, don't come at me for not knowing what it's called). Daughter wanted donuts, so we went in to check it out. The employees were friendly and patient as we made our decision on a half dozen. One star for that. With all the cool flavors, we were so excited and wanted to try them all. We settled on blueberry, strawberry sprinkle, mango, oreo, chocolate sprinkle, and original glazed. Got our donuts, left, and brought them to the park to enjoy. Went to grab my blueberry donut and immediately felt something was wrong because of how heavy it was. Took a closer look and noticed they're not puffed up like donuts, but instead flat. I took a bite and got a mouth full of oil. Did not expect that. Literally had my mouth drooling out oil. I have never had a donut this bad. Never experienced anything like this with donuts. And I am so disgusted and sad we spent $20 on half a dozen donuts that we can't eat. All of them are like this. They were so soggy with oil that the donut ripped as i was trying to pick it back up. Terrible experience and I'm so disappointed my kids now have nothing to snack on, and that I spent $20 on donuts we can't even eat. I've had island glazed before and they were NOTHING like this. I should've known better when I looked through the case and they all looked sad and flat. I dislike donuts and hardly eat them, but this experience takes the cake. I feel bad because I almost never buy my kids donuts and I thought I'd splurge a bit to let them try these unique flavors, and now they're just left disgusted and disappointed too. Literally bought these donuts less than an hour ago and I'm throwing them away. We came on a Saturday morning, just after they opened. So disappointed. I'd ask for a refund but no way am I keeping these oil sponges in my car. ***SAME DAY UPDATE*** With quick, attentive staff responding to my review, we went back and got a refund. The employees were extremely apologetic. Overall, service was great, but product unfortunately is not. I'm really hoping this was an off day for this location. Raising my rating from one star to two. Service is 5 stars but the donuts were just too memorable in the wrong way. I'm sorry.

I came here because the reviews looked good. Unfortunately the donuts I received were absolutely disgusting and tasted like they had been soaking in oil. Upon the first bite, I had oil dripping down my face and coating my hands. I think it might've just been a bad batch since I see other bad reviews from today only. Fortunately, the coffee was excellent.

This shop is small yet cute. The donuts were soft and moist. The flavors were well balanced and not too sicky sweet.

I do recommend this donut shop. The donut is soft, different flavor and delicious. But the price is expensive.

Its location was a mystery and the way the food disappeared off our plates was the magic. We were met with love and we were served love in our to go containers. We ordered house fried noodles, orange chicken, house fried gyoza, vegetarian spring rolls with sides of white rice and various, delicious tea drinks. I have never had bacon in my fried noodles before and I know bacon makes most things taste better but this was truly the cherry on top. I loved the noodles. I love thin noodles like angel hair pasta and finally I've found a place that serves a thin fried noodle. It was delicious. The orange chicken was hot and tasty and we didn't get any fatty pieces which made it perfect!! That's huge to my family. Speaking of which, I have a big family we're talking 8 people and the portions at this place were delightfully generous. You might be buying dinner today but you'll likely have lunch for tomorrow too! I don't know what they put in the drinks but I am hooked. My goodness! Iced-Cool Liquid happiness for my tongue, throat, stomach and soul. I was upset when it was gone. I'm still upset. This place is truly off the beaten path but worth the effort to find and dine. Drive directly down the alley when you see the Sweet Corner Cafe sign on the corner(keep your eyes peeled). Go all the way down, you'll be able to turn around and there's parking along a building.

I really enjoy their glazed doughnuts, they taste like Krispy Kreme to me! I have cruised through the other choices and liked several of them! They do a good job with their fruit flavors. My inner fat kid was already side-eyeing me like "we both know that's not enough." That glazed donut though? Unreal. Soft, moist, and that glaze is straight disrespectful. Like melt-in-your-mouth, why-am-I-eating-this-so-fast kinda good. I took one bite and immediately started doing the math on how fast I could turn around and grab more without looking crazy. Halfway through the box I was already mad at myself. Who buys 6?? That's not a quantity, that's a warm-up. Should've got 12 and saved myself the emotional damage. Only reason it's not a 5/5 is because now I'm sitting here donutless, thinking about going back like a man with unfinished business. Next time I'm letting the fat kid make all the decisions

I felt kind of bad because it was a one person show and the owner guy had to accommodate a lot of customers by himself! It was a hot day and a cold drink sounded great. I heard someone mention there was a coffee vendor but the person made it sound like they were only selling cups of hot or iced coffee. Then someone walked by with a matcha drink and I knew I needed to check out Panday's booth. There was a small line of customers and the guy was working hard to chat with people, collect payments and make drinks. When it was my turn, I ordered the "Biko" coffee which is their special Filipino rice/coconut/condensed milk coffee. He said he probably didn't have enough and I should look over the menu to see if I had a second choice. I chose the banana matcha and he said he didn't have any banana syrup. I mean maybe the event was so popular that he ran out of drinks quicker than expected. I guess he was the only food/drink vendor at the event and it was a hot day.... In the end, he had enough Biko for my drink and everything was fine. It was a good latte and flavorful, but idk if I'd go out of my way to find it in the future. I do want to try the banana matcha still though. For a one man operation, this guys is killing it. He makes the espresso shots to order, so drinks may take a little while to get made. He was good at chatting up people in line while we waited though. Hopefully I'll see panday coffee at another event soon!

That's exactly what I did as soon as I saw the sidewalk sign right outside of Fishcake in Kaka'ako and I'm so glad I did ;) checking out their menu you can find the usual espresso, latte and americano and now for the fun stuff...their "Specialty Drinks" from Monkey Coffy which has house made banana syrup, Biko which is a Filipino rice milk coffee and even the newest The Panday Pandan Latte! I really was intrigued by their Monkey Coffy but really wanted to try their Matcha when they said that I could combine it for "Monkey Matcha" whaaaaaaat!!!! Their only concern is that the banana syrup could overpower the matcha so they weren't confident to put it on the menu but I tell you it was yummy and yes the syrup was very flavorful as I was told it is made with real bananas and has the equivalent of two bananas in each cup...incredible. The staff is amazing and informed me of the wait with several orders already in the works but I do love the creativity as they bring in the culture crafted in each cup is unique and "sip"ly delicious. Thank you!
