I called Monday afternoon and ordered a Mud Pie for my mom's birthday. It's honestly our every year birthday tradition. Went in at 1:30 pm on Wednesday which was the time I requested to pick up my order and it was empty so I got helped right away. Bought a new Cake in a Box item. Tried to order online for 34.99 but needed it same day. Went to grab one from the store. Rang me up and there was a price of the cake at $34.99 and a $5 "Local Item" charge. Asked what the $5 was for. Girl told me the register was not working correctly. Went to get her manager who never came out. She came back and said the online price is different...which I understand that can be the case. But then your price in the register needs to reflect the correct price. You can't just tack on an extra charge without an explanation. Another lady comes out and I ask if she's the manager. She says no and that it's a "store charge". What?! She then said the register had not been updated to reflect the correct price. I told her they needed to fix it and not just charge people a random $5 line item. I completed a survey and asked for a callback. A lady named Jane called me to apologize but stated she was "pretty sure the box stated the $39.99 price" putting it back on me. Honestly, I had not even looked at the box and have since thrown the cover away. It wasn't even about the cake cost. The service here was good. I inquired about one of the flavors and the guy behind the counter offered me a sample. He was really nice. We got two of the 2 Scoop Sundaes $6.69 each. Summer is here! Stopped by for some ice cream and milk shake for the family. I have to tell you, it's so refreshing to walk in an feel welcomed by the staff. This location has adequate parking, and you never have a hard time finding a stall when coming after work hours (3pm to after 4pm). As soon as my husband and I entered the store, we were greeted by the staff. To my amazement, there wasn't a long line and we were in and out within a minute or so. Ten minutes before close. My cousin and I got to this Baskin- Robbins before it shut the doors. We both ordered a two scoop sundae. My sundae consisted of mint chip with almond pistachio. The topping: a caramel, And whip cream with a cherry on top. There is ample seating outside and it seemed that everyone who came sat quickly and was done before I finished mine. The portion to price is a little down. At first, It almost appeared that the girl who served me might have forgotten my second scoop, not the case at all it was just small in a very large cup. Is that how it's suppose to look? For $5.50-$6 shouldn't it be nearly over the top of the bowl? Not hidden. I took the picture looking down on my sundae cause that's how it literally looked better than from the side - there wouldn't be anything to see... So perhaps the two scoop sundae could have been better. Factors: time of day? Possibly the crowd that was there ten minutes before closing? And supply? And they couldn't make the whip topping much bigger so they wouldn't open another one? So my four stars is cause the production of my cousins sundae and my sundae could have been done better (more for the price we paid) or at least prettier considering it might potentially get photographed. It's a small store with a typical cooler of ice cream to view and choose, but then we were told another existed behind the counter. When we were being helped we noticed that the employee was not attentive and had a snarky attitude. She was kind of rude and that kind of put a bummer on the mood. An example would be my little brother asked if he could get 3 scoops of ice cream and all the girl said was "How much?" and stared at him like he was stupid until I told him to tell her what flavors he wanted. She could have easily clarified her question to make sense instead of making him feel bad. It was to the point where you question, "If you hate your job so much, why do you work here?" We just went to this location tonight to get $1.50 per scoop of ice cream. When we got there the line was maybe about 7 people outside the door and 4 people inside. I looked inside and saw two workers in there and 1 girl standing at the door trying to control the amount of people going in. I think they could have remedied this by putting line separators like how they do at other locations and that way that extra girl could be helping the other two inside instead of just standing outside by the door. I think they were short staffed but I'm just surprised they didn't have an order to how things would go since they knew today was the 31st and should have anticipated it would be busy. They were running out of flavors but didn't have time to take the signs down so people would keep asking if a certain flavor was gone... My ice cream was good.
