Stopped by Starbread and wow the famous Senorita Bread definitely lives up to the hype! There are plenty of other sweet treats to choose from, but this one is a must try. I ordered a box, and it was absolutely delicious. Soft, buttery and perfectly sweet. No wonder it's their bestseller. Highly recommend grabbing a box when you visit.

OK, this place is simply amazing. We were taken here to try their Senorita bread, and oh my gosh, was it good. We were told to eat it immediately when warm for the full flavor, and they were right. (Although, it is messy and some of the butter got on my shoe!) One learns soon enough how to hold it properly, and have LOTS of napkins ready. The bread is sweet, sugary and filled full of butter. It's an incredible taste treat and they are sold in multiple amounts. For good reason, it's hard to eat just one! This bakery has an amazing array of great looking treats, donuts, pastries and everything else. There are multiple locations, Roseville and Sacramento too, so go try it!

Whenever I'm visiting family in the area, I try to make it a point to visit Starbread to pick up some senorita bread. Prices are still quite reasonable, the person working there was quick and the bread was fresh, hot and enough to make my taste buds happy. Made it great for a nice roadtrip snack!

10/19/25- Not too bland now; fresh n hot from the oven. Updated prices in the photo. Their sign says after 6 pm, donuts are $1.50; normally 3$ and up. Mochi donuts are $3 after 6pm. Best way to not have so much waste. Lines could be long and busy but they can serve pretty quick as it's all ready and just need to box or bag it depending on your order. Be mindful of the surroundings as there are homeless or asking for change. Hey, welcome to Vallejo! That's expected. Parking can be filthy, just be quick. Don't leave valuables unattended or seen in your car. Cash or card accepted. Tax included in the price on the board. That's good, no need for loose change.

Love it when there are potlucks and people bring these little rolls of goodness. The little sweet rolls are yummy. This time our cousins brought pastries that look like filled malasadas. They are very doughy and dense inside. Comes with various filling.

Love this location! Such a huge variety and everything is delicious...although if I have to have one, my one gripe is the cornbread was too sweet for me. Otherwise wins across the board! For around $25, we left with two brownies, two cornbread, three filled bitso, and 15 pieces of señorita bread. The bakery is pretty small so get in and get out quickly...it can get crowded! I love the decor they had up for the holiday season, and it wasn't too cluttered even with a large inventory. Service is quick and friendly. No nonsense, but pleasant. The woman behind the counter was very patient with my husband and I as we scanned the selection and picked items from throughout the bakery case and added extras even after she already rung us up. I will say I'm bummed about the price increase for señorita bread but the other goodies are such a good deal, I'm not at all discouraged.

A must-try treat! You can't just eat one, so if you're curious, ask for Señorita bread. It's delicious! This place is known for their Señorita bread, which is a small roll filled with butter. People usually order it by the dozen because it's hard to resist just one. If you're wondering what to try, definitely ask for Señorita bread!

Bread and buttery!!! Who couldn't resist this delicious bread! I like this location (which is the original) it's always good and never disappoints me. Yes they have other locations but for some reason it's not as good as this location. I was told whatever they serve in the Vallejo location is the same at the other locations but it ain't true because I can taste the difference! Absolutely LOVE Senorita Bread. It's always warm, fresh, crisp and sticky on top and buttery goodness on the inside. Their like chips, you seriously can't just eat one!!! You seriously gotta go early though, otherwise you're waiting in a long line (not that it's not worth it). read more

Senorita bread is amazing! It melts in your mouth and takes you back to your childhood of eating bread, butter, and sugar. It's perfect for breakfast. Goes with any hot beverage. It's like popcorn, you could just keep eating and eating and eating them. Amazing! I've been to a few other locations, and this one isn't much different. A little bit of a weird location, but worth it to stop by here and pick up a box of 20 or 40! read more

If you don't like senorita bread, I don't trust you. I highly recommend you go for the largest size you can handle because even though you say you will only eat 2, you will end up eating 12 and feel absolutely zero remorse. 100% worth it for the price. I can't believe I haven't had this place in years, it's absolutely incredible and a little gem. read more

If you could just smell these señoritas!! I prefer the cinnamon ones but the regular ones are delicious too! You need to not be there to late to be able to get the cinnamon ones because the run fast. These señoritas are small so make sure to buy plenty. read more

I hear there's a new owner for this location and he decided to change the recipe for the señorita bread... it isn't good lol. They definitely need to change it back because people are confused and unhappy with it. Just tastes like plain bread now, hardly any sweetness, which is what made the bread so unique and addicting before. They need to change it back ASAP. read more

They were out of cinnamon, so we got $24 worth of the senorita bread. Anddd it was fresh from the oven and piping hot! The bread is amazing and tastes so good for such a simple pastry. Warm buttery baked goodies! Who could ask for anything more. These little breads are so addicting. It is so easy to gobble up a handful in less than five minutes. Came here once and got the Senorita Bread that they are famous for. I thought the price was excellent and the flavor good. Personally I am not overwhelmed by them like so many others seem to be, but they are ok. It was a hot day and I was alarmed that there didn't seem to be any a/c inside. Makes me wonder how well the packaged items keep in there? I guess I'm more of a European bakery fan, though my pocket book wishes I weren't. read more

This is not just about taste or quality; someone could genuinely get sick from consuming something like this. What's disappointing is that I genuinely like this place and come here often, which makes this experience even more frustrating. I really hope management takes this seriously and re-evaluates how long cakes are kept on display before being discarded. Freshness and safety should never be compromised. I'm sharing this not to bash the business, but because I believe they can and should do better, especially since many families shop here regularly.

The general area is a little sketchy as there are a bunch of homeless people walking around in the nearby streets and sometimes in the parking lot. Seafood City does hire security that hang out outside, so there is less homeless walking around near the stores and restaurants now.

6-6-14 I stopped because I was looking for Organic, whole grain bread with the "berry" of the grains included with whole wheat and oat flours; honey used as sweetener as necessary. I like chewing the whole grains in the bread, letting them "dissolve" slowly in my mouth. I take in fewer calories and enjoy it so much more. It's been shown that flour starch changes into sugar in our bodies, which can drive us closer to Diabetes and flabby bodies. Sweetened breads, cookies, buns, etc., taste wonderful. All of us love sweetened foods, but be careful what you wish for. My doctor has shown me that I'm borderline Diabetic, but hey, I've been suffering for years from total nerve damage in my lower legs and my hands. It's called Peripheral Neuropathy. I have trouble driving because I can't feel the foot pedals and so I'm not sure where my feet are. My feet bleed and I don't know I stepped on something. I walked around for days, not knowing I had hurt myself. On the bottom and up the side of my big toe was a one inch diameter blood blister that I never even felt! I've had a sore on the bottom of my foot for 6 years! My shoes don't work anymore. I can't get them on! Folks, you don't want these problems. Don't become fanatics, but do take care of your bodies. You don't get a new one when this one breaks down. read more

I go here like thousands of other patrons for........you guest it!!! their empanadas! j/k I go for the senoritas like everyone else! Its really simple its just their pandesal bread freshly baked with honey and butter caramelized and crunched at the bottom. Think pilsbury crossiant rolls but 20 billion times more better with that added buttery sweet crunch and steam begging to be released when you rip one open and toss into your mouth. Great with coffee, hot chocolate, or tea. The fact its not legally classified as a donut or bread roll can make you compromise that its not unhealthy and actually good for you!!! order them by the dozens and don't even think about counting carbs or wondering if its a sin to pop 4 or 5 in your mouth on a sunday morning. read more

I cannot believe I grew up going to this place as a kid and NEVER tried the senorita bread up until my adulthood. I decided to stop by TapEx with my boyfriend and told him about how I should pick up some bread for the family before taking off. My girlfriend told me about senorita bread, but she didn't tell me it was like crack. We bought 10 pieces...and it was gone in less than an hour. My boyfriend was super impressed and told me I need to stop by here and buy more next time I'm headed to the parents. I could only imagine how many calories are in those things... read more

Starbread Bakery sells the best senorita bread, sweet breads and fresh croissants that truly ROCK! The bottom is brushed with a whisper of caramel You better get some extras cuz you will be eating them before you get to where your going. Some other things to try is: Bichi-Bichi, ube, cuchinta, bibingka, turon, cheese and olive bread. Everything there is so good Starbread is the best Filipino Bakery there is. read more
