A very special thank you to TonyCakes for creating the PERFECT Bridgerton cake for Jennessa's Debut! Not only was it absolutely beautiful and matched our theme perfectly, but it tasted AMAZING! We had four delicious flavors--guava, chocolate caramel, red velvet, and strawberry--although Jennessa pretty much claimed the strawberry for herself. Our guests could not stop raving about how good the cake was! The guava was such a hit that people were coming back for seconds, and some even asked for boxes so they could take a piece home. That says everything! And with 200 guests, I was amazed that there was still plenty of cake left for us to enjoy for days afterward. Trust me, we happily did! TonyCakes, thank you for putting so much care into creating a cake that was not only a beautiful centerpiece for Jennessa's celebration, but also something our guests are STILL talking about. It was elegant, delicious, and truly the perfect cake for our Diamond of the Season. Thank you for helping make Jennessa's special night so unforgettable!
I order most of my cakes from Tony's Cakes. Birthdays, baby showers, Friendsgiving.... I love how easy it is to order using their online system and their prices are very competitive. I typically order basic style cakes and decorate them myself. They taste delicious and you can also order different desserts for your dessert table. They are very responsive and usually give you a quote within 24 hours. I highly recommend them if you are looking for special occasion cakes!

I'm giving a five star review because my daughter was extremely happy with the outcome of her bday cake The red velvet was fantastic. Everything was perfect. She got a picture of some characters printed on the cake per her request. When I picked up the cake on the scheduled day I asked if it would be good to refrigerator till the following day when we were having a party The person helping me said that would fade. When I asked if there was anything I could do to prevent it, I got a response that I interpreted as being smart ass, and he said ordered for the day you actually needed it. Considering I'm not a baker or don't know anything about cakes. I think that would be a good question to ask when somebody orders a cake with a picture printed on it, not just when do you wanna pick it up but what's the actual day of the party. Regardless of that, I will definitely use them in the future, I will just ask more questions, and I highly recommend There's another cake shop down the street. I couldn't even get a response to my emails from, and I've used this other shop several times and I will tell you that I will never go back and I will continue to frequent Tony's cakes. I'd like to know that we drove all the way from San Leandro to pick up this case that's how good they are

My boyfriend's parents put us in charge of their 50th anniversary party and I knew instantly I wanted to get them a special cake. No costco, no Whole Foods but a real bakery from a real local business. We would have used cakes by Karl ( also in Vallejo) but they did not do marble cake which we knew we wanted in order to match their original wedding cake. Tony's had marble cake as an option and good Yelp reviews so I thought I had found the perfect match! We did the online order form as requested, and my boyfriend confirmed with a woman on the phone TWICE( once the wk our cake was due) that our order was correct and we were on the same page. We even paid in full before we ever got our cake. When we arrived to pick uour cake up yesterday it was beautiful but it was WRONG!! We asked for a marble cake with chocolate buttercream frosting. No other flavors, fillings, or stuffings just marble cake with chocolate frosting. We got a cake covered in white frosting!!! We told the lady we asked for chocolate frosting and she checked her order form to prove us wrong but quickly realized she was wrong and then went to work making chocolate frosting right there in front of us. We were there to pick up our cake for a agreed upon time of 10:30 and we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for her to scrape the white frosting off, make chocolate frosting, and then redecorate our cake with the fresh flowers we ordered. " Tony" could be seen in the back decorating right in front of the girl who was doing our cake and he never addressed us or her about the lack of professionalism. He was probably rightfully embarrassed but it was sad to not see a business owner own up to their mistakes and make things right. No one should show up to cake pick up with the complete wrong cake. To make matters worse... yes it get worse than watching your cake scraped and remade in front of you. When we actually cut the cake at our party...it was wrong too!!! We got the marble cake but with a layer of white frosting in the middle and STRAWBERRIES?!!!! The chocolate frosting we asked for was completely disregarded!!!l They effed this cake up. It was nasty. No one asked where it was from. No one took home the leftovers. This place I feel is in over their heads. I do NOT recommend.
The guava cake was absolutely delicious. Best one I've ever had. The cake was extremely moist. And the decor was exactly the way I imagined. The process of ordering online was convenient, and saved me time. The day of pick up was smooth and the person who helped me was super friendly. Definitely ordering from here again in the future.
This review is strictly for the Mother's Day box Tony's created this year. It was such a beautiful presentation that my mom didn't even want to touch it. Once she did though everything was absolutely perfection! My mom said, "I can eat this whole box by myself" and she's loved the tres leches with the Dulce de leche! I hope they continue to offer boxes like this where you can sample other treats they offer. Thanks to Tony and his crew!

Most importantly, our wedding cake was truly my dream cake it was absolutely beautiful and tasted just as amazing! I called Tony's Bakery on Wednesday needing a 1/4 sheet tiramisu cake by Sunday. After calling several places that needed more notice, I was starting to panic. Someone on Nextdoor recommended Tony's, and then I remembered I'd ordered a delicious cake from him for my son's 7th birthday last year. I can't believe I forgot about his bakery. I'm blaming old age! Someone always answers the phone when I call. Tony said he could have the cake ready as early as Friday. He even added writing on top, which couldn't have been easy with the cocoa powder. It was ready on time, and here's where the five stars really come in: the cake was AMAZING! Tony's Cakes did an amazing job with our wedding cake! We had a beautiful three-tier, multi-layer cake, and it completely exceeded our expectations. Communication throughout the process was great, and everything turned out beautifully. There was a small hiccup with some of the equipment needed for our cake, but Tony handled it so professionally. He personally reached out to us, made sure everything was taken care of, and went above and beyond to ensure the cake was perfect for our big day. I was surprised to find that Tony's Cakes was a short drive away from our house. It was my husband's birthday and I wanted to get him a cake. My Auntie who has been ordering from Tony's cakes has been bringing in treats from this place for family gatherings and I figured I get a cake for my husband from here since everything she has brought for the family has been pretty delicious! I ordered the cake by phone. It was a tres leches cake with whipped cream and strawberries. The lady who helped me on the phone was very nice. They get all the info from you through the phone and you make a deposit, then they send you a confirmation about the order. The cake itself was delicious and not too sweet! The shop is located on a busy street so make sure you drive by slow when it's coming up on your GPS! The inside of the store is super cute and they have candles too if you're like me who forgot to get candles, lol! All the workers were very friendly, they have cake examples available for you to check out. Their online website is also very helpful! Where do I begin?! Thank you Tonys cakes for making the worst experience of my life of picking up what was supposed to be my wedding cake but turned into a dodged a bullet cake! I was left two days before my wedding day by the groom. I called Tony's cakes & was able to figure out a solution on such short notice. I was able to get my cakes exactly the way I wanted, the customer service was amazing! Truly made my experience so positive and happy. Thank you so much! read more

Finally found a moist chocolate cake without egg in the ingredients. This cake is very comparable to regular high quality chocolate cake. The staff and owner Tony are very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. The place is very welcoming, well organized and showcase their variety of cakes. The price is very reasonable and the only downside to it is you wont stop eating once you get to taste it, . I highly recommend Tony's Cake .. it will not disappoint you. We are extremely disappointed to post this 1-star review for Tony's cake. We got a good service last year, so I left a 5-star review. I did a mistake by not looking at the recent Yelp reviews. Their service have gone down and prices have gone up a lot. Fast forward to now. I got a call from their bakery, they said Tony has a last minute emergency so she can't do the upper part of the cake as originally decided. Instead she'll do a plain layer. Cake delivery date is tomorrow and my kid's birthday is on Monday. Add to that they were extremely rude over the phone with a clear take it or leave it attitude. After discussing with my wife, we requested them to refund us our advance deposit. To that they want us to come to their store, which I'm not going to do. WARNING: Do NOT give them full payment for your order. Better yet go to a different baker. There are plenty. Terrible professionals. Edit 7/21/24: They've issued a refund of the advanced deposit. This doesn't change anything about their unprofessional and rude behavior. read more

Tony did a fantastic job creating our two cakes! For the first cake, we surprised my parents that we were pregnant on Christmas day. I asked for a New Years Theme cake and he nailed it! We got the chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and it was delicious! For the second cake, we celebrated my husband's birthday with a gender reveal. My Doctor gave us the gender in an envelope and we wanted it to be a surprise for us and everyone at our party. I went into the shop and gave the envelope to Tony's Mom who made a copy of it and she put it right back in the envelope. This was the most beautiful cake I've ever seen and it was so thoughtfully created. All of our guests were in awe and we ordered funfetti with buttercream frosting (my husband's fav). It was so delicious and the frosting color was a beautiful bright blue color to signify we are having a baby boy! Thank you to Tony, his family, and his staff for making both of these moments unforgettable and so special for such a precious time in our lives. P.S. Tony and his team came in clutch for me with a cake for my mom's 60th birthday. I was so busy planning other major aspects of a trip that I didn't think a cake was necessary at first. But the more I thought about it, the more I thought a cake would be nice. My mom has never had a custom cake, either. So I ended up contacting Tony later than I ideally should have but he still accommodated my cake request which I very much appreciate. After looking up some designs I got really attached to a red and gold cake design with cherry blossoms and a dragon over the top. The dragon became really important to me, as in Chinese culture it is a symbol of good luck and strength. My mom had just finished her cancer treatment and has so far outlived the doctor's estimate for her condition. So when I say attached, I mean I became REALLY attached to the dragon...I was really frustrated that I didn't put in my order early enough as the dragon mold ALMOST didn't come on time. Luck was on my side though, and Tony and his team got the cake done--with the dragon!--on time. And my mom and family loved the cake! So many compliments and questions about where I got the cake. Tony's online order form was super simple to order off of. The prices are reasonable and transparent. There is a lot you can customize, like the type of filling. If there's ingredients that might not go as well together they will take the time to explain why which I also appreciated. The only thing I was a bit disappointed about was that I ordered red velvet interior with strawberry cream cheese filling and mixed fruit and strawberries. But I didn't get much mixed fruit or strawberries. But that's ok because I was really happy overall with the exterior of the cake. Thank you for making our family gathering extra special! read more
