On another occasion, I asked an employee about the coffee options and was rudely told that they were closing soon, that they don't make coffee 30 minutes before closing, and that I could only order pastries. I understand arriving close to closing can be inconvenient, and I was only a few minutes away from closing. However, a little understanding and a friendly tone would have made a big difference. Her response came across as dismissive and unnecessarily rude. I genuinely want to support this business, but customer service is extremely important to me and plays a major role in whether I return. I believe additional customer-service training could make a significant difference in creating a more welcoming experience. The pastries are delicious, though, and I would love to continue supporting the business if the customer-service experience improves.

We went with a simple, more rustic design, with navy blue piping to add a pop of color. Diana worked with my florist to decorate the cake using succulents and an assortment of flowers. It was beautiful! The tiers were all different flavors and all incredible. The top tier was a coconut rum cake. Traditionally the top tier is saved for the one year anniversary, but we couldn't wait so we ate it on the 46th day of being married. Haha! It was everything I hoped it would be. The other layers consisted of a lemon cake with lemon curd filling (Big hit!), a chocolate swirl cake with mocha filling (my personal favorite from the day) and a vanilla cake with Bavarian cream filling (Simple and delicious!). Someone in the Benicia community recommended Shannon, and from the first message I knew I was in good hands. She stayed in touch the entire time, coordinated with both me and the band's manager, sent progress photos, delivered everything right on time, and somehow made the whole process completely stress-free. Then I saw the cake. Pictures really don't do it justice. The flames, skulls, chains, custom NEFARIOUS logo...it looked like something that belonged on an album cover. Then Shannon told me everything except the cake board was edible. Mind blown. She also made 36 matching cupcakes. I heard they were delicious...because they disappeared in seconds. I didn't even manage to grab one before they were gone! Is it normal for the beef to be expected to use same day of purchase? I can't imagine its just a day off. I'm not going to be purchasing meat there anymore. Such a waste, as I had already started cooking and dividing things up, discard packaging, that I don't have time to bring spoiled meats back to make a return. I also had an upsetting interaction with the employee scanning cards at the entrance. I am not a typical early bird, so when I checked google for what time Costco opens I saw 9am. I had to ask her to repeat herself probably 3 times because she seemed really happy and excited to tell me that i'd gotten something wrong. And was very rude! She just seemed to escalate it unnecessarily. She then started informing other employees of me as if I was trying to create a heist. I was wondering if we may eat at the food court and that was also a big fat NO! I only spend hell of money at Costco to be treated like dirt for not knowing.
