Normally I don't have an issue with the fresh meat and seafood I purchase from here (Costco Vallejo #132) so this evening I bought a bag of fresh mussels ($13.50). But when I got them home, they had been in an airtight wrapper too long and were all dead. Dinner plans out the window. I immediately called the number on the receipt and spoke to a manager. I told him the situation and he told me to put them in a trash bag and bring them in for a refund. I told him I'd already thrown them in the trash and he cut me off and stated that they would only refund them if I brought them back. I told him I didn't want to hold onto rotting seafood for 24 hours before I could bring them back and he flatly told me that was my only option. Well, I'm out $13.50 and I can promise you I won't ever buy mussels from Costco again. Note to Costco Vallejo: if you're reading this, live seafood should not be stored in airtight plastic wrap for more than a few hours. Otherwise, the animals suffocate which appears to have happened in this case. Also, the manager I spoke to (7:55 pm, April 7th, 2026) was unsympathetic and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience this caused. I was shopping for plants. I found money trees and orchids. The money trees were lovely, and we're available in 2 sizes. The orchids were sad and droopy. Just a little love and water might rejuvenate them but they weren't worth the asking price. The place was colder, darker, and didn't seem as large as other locations. read more

Costco Tire Center Review My husband paid over $1,200 online for tires from this Costco Tire Center, and unfortunately the entire experience from start to finish was disorganized, stressful, and completely lacking in professionalism and customer service. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, the employee assisting me immediately told me that my vehicle supposedly did not take four tires of the same size and that I may need to repurchase different tires and come back another day. This was alarming considering the tires had already been purchased online specifically for my vehicle. After actually taking the time to inspect the car, they discovered that all four tires were in fact the correct size. This could have easily been verified before creating unnecessary confusion and concern. I was then told the service would take approximately two hours. About an hour after leaving the Tire Center, I received a phone call stating they could not remove my tires because they could not locate the wheel lock key. The employee informed me that she had already searched through my glove box and center console looking for it. She then stated that because I had "never purchased tires there before," there was nothing else they could do. Not only was this incorrect, but it was frustrating to be told inaccurate information so confidently. I informed her that I absolutely had purchased tires there previously. After placing me on hold to review the records and paperwork, she eventually checked the trunk near the spare tire and located the key there. At that point, I expected the rest of the process to go smoothly, but unfortunately it only got worse. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I was informed of additional charges for parts that were installed on my vehicle without my authorization or prior discussion. At no point did anyone call to explain the issue, ask for approval, discuss pricing, or provide options before moving forward with the work. As a customer, that is completely unacceptable. When I questioned the manager about why unauthorized work had been completed on my vehicle, his response was dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of apologizing for the lack of communication or attempting to resolve the concern professionally, he simply stated that he could refund the charges and remove the parts. There was no accountability, no concern for the inconvenience caused, and no effort made to provide even basic customer care. His attitude made the situation even more frustrating. What stood out most throughout this entire experience was the complete lack of communication, attention to detail, and respect for customers' time and money. Spending over $1,200 on tires should come with a reasonable expectation of competent service and professionalism. Instead, I dealt with misinformation, poor communication, unauthorized charges, and dismissive management. After reading through other reviews, it appears this is not an isolated experience. That is disappointing because Costco is a company many people trust and expect better from. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my view of this Tire Center location. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this Costco Tire Center for future tire purchases or services, and I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider whether this location is worth the frustration. read more

The absolute worst Costco in history. Over the past year or two the employees have become some of the laziest, most useless, rudest people that I've ever encountered. They give you the snobbiest attitude at the checkout. Do you not understand that we are spending money at your company? I will never set foot in Costco, Let alone Vallejo Costco ever again after today. First off, all the produce is so pitiful I can't believe we pay for a membership to sift through bins of absolute rotting garbage. All while employees are wheeling out a new pallet that looks worse than the one out. You can smell the rotting onions from down at the entrance. The meat looks old dyed and severely overpriced for someone that pays for a membership. Whole Foods has close to the same price with much higher quality looking product. An employee Devon threw my groceries onto the conveyor belt and put some height, like an arc before they hit as well. I don't know what caliber of employee they hire at this location, but it seems as though it's the lowest of the absolute low. If I was Costco, I would look into the "family hook up" that goes on that I've heard about through the grapevine at this location. Now I've left a bad review before and since then I feel as though they've targeted me specifically. If I was Costco, I would hire a full new round of employees when the location moves. read more

1/27/2025 This Costco is like any other Costco but maybe moreso. We live near the Zampa bridge and usually drive to the Richmond Costco in order to not pay the Zampa bridge tax. Vallejo Costco is much closer to our home. We drive to Vallejo occasionally to bypass comute traffic. Vallejo has so many businesses including Costco that get bypassed by customers due to that bridge tax. If only Costco and city leaders could think of a way to reimburse customers bridge unfair tax if the the customer spent a certain amount in Vallejo that day. read more

I recently came to Vallejo Costco due to Richmond Costco unable to drop a case of water for me. Apparently Costco in Richmond could not drop a case a water for me until 1:30pm while I was there between 11:15am-11:45am. Going to Costco in Vallejo there had the case of water available to get. Coming to Costco on Sunday I was able to find parking that isn't far from the entrance. Not much cars were driving around waiting for a parking space. The membership/return doesn't have a long line. I am impress this location does not get much returns. The line to get gas at Costco can be long which can be long from Turner Parkway. The price of gas in Vallejo can be low compare to going to Concord location. Costco in Vallejo is the place to go to during the week and weekend. read more

This review covers Costco Auto. From the quote to the purchase to the installation and follow up Costco auto was professional. Of course I did some serious comparison shopping when it came to buying new tires. After all it's been, I think 15 years since I purchased my last set of tires from Costco (incredible tires those Michelins). The only way I could save any money compared to Costco was to buy a brand of tires that I had never heard of and was rated for significantly fewer miles than the Costco tires. It didn't seem worth it to downgrade the quality of the tires to save 50 bucks so I made the same decision that I've made for the last two tire purchases in a row, Costco. Well, in the 15 year since I purchased my last set of tires, you now have to make an appointment to get your tires installed. The tire center does seem to be a bit busy at this location and the first open appointment was a week in the future on Black Friday. First time in years, I have actually set foot in a store on Black Friday. It was cool, they had black Friday specials on the fresh turkeys and a plethora of coupon specials so I was entertained for the time it took to install the tires. Costco has also added some extra quality checks for tire work. They will check the torque on the nuts to make sure that the tires are properly tightened. it wasn't any extra hassle to get it done but I had to return after 25 miles. All in all my new tires are great, it was pleasant working with Costco. And I do feel a bit of extra confidence thanks to all the precautions they took. read more

This is an odd review but it's to give recognition to some of Costco's foods. It's my go to when I want fresh ingredients for cooking since I don't eat out unless I have to. I enjoy cooking when I'm not working. Costco has some of the better prices on certain items. So it's worth waiting in line or looking for a parking spot lol. read more

This Costco has gone down hill fast. First they take out self checkout which increased check out time dramatically. I understand that it helps with theft/shrink but it's no less disappointing. You also used to be able to order a pizza, shop, and then it would be ready when you check out. Now you must order, show them the receipt so they could write down your number, then shop, and then maybe it's ready. That extra step isn't communicated anywhere which made a lot of people including myself upset because the wait times again increased. I'm glad there are 2 other costcos now within a 15 minute drive and I do shop here way less frequently. It's sad. read more

Well I have been shopping with Costco for over 20+ years, I have been a loyal customer. Unfortunately twice it happened in this Vallejo Costo. One, I ordered a rotiserrie chicken for home delivery one day, to my suprise and totally disgusted, my chicken was eaten by the drumstick! I could not eat it at all! I decided to shred it up for the house doggie Coco. Costco did give me a new chicken, I had to go and pick up is all. Secondly, it happened again. This time my landlady asked me if I needed anything from Costco? I said yes, please a rotiserrie chicken and their bell peppers with ground beef. The bell peppers are mu go to at all Costcos everywhere as is the Sushi and poke, when I can find it fresh. However, the rotiserrie chicken my landlady brought me once again was eaten by the left drumstick again!!! I was very disappointed and this time, I threw my rotiserrie chicken away, and told my landlady, I will not eat this or give it to Coco the house doogie. It ended up in the garbage that night. Now never in all my years of shopping with Costco,have I had two chickens eaten off and it is not acceptable. Where the problem lies I do not know really, I will and still do shop at Costco, however I will think really hard about purchasing the rotiserries.. but I can also wait for fresh chickens to come out of the oven while in Vallejo store to garuntee myself, nobody will touch my chicken other than me! I love Costco and will remain being a loyal consistent customer, but Vallejo please make sure you can assure great rotisseries going out for your customers. Never has happened to me, but only here in Vallejo Costco. My local and go-to Costco! This Costco has great inventory, and pretty much anything you could ever need. It's also clean and spacious. That being said, this location gets super busy, though! I only go here right when they open, lol, and they are still pretty busy. They actually open an hour earlier than other Costcos, I'm assuming to make up for all their foot traffic. Parking can be pretty crazy too. If you're in need of a Costco, and it happens to be mid-day, I'd probably try a different location if possible! That being said, this location is great, and I'll be here again soon! read more

Out of 3 Costcos in Solano County, the Vallejo location wins in terms of item selection and eye exam price. I was able to get my eyes checked for $50 (Spring '22) on a Saturday afternoon. Shop til you drop then get your eyes examined! lol This location offers items I don't normally see at the Fairfield and Vacaville stores. They offer more asian items like chinese sausage, dried squid, lumpia and canned milk tea boba. I found the Matcha Lindt here (when they were offering it) and egg roll cookies. There was even a section for Lunar New Year plants and treats. You can easily spend over $50 on snacks alone, which is what I did. It's a decent size store, not as big and spacious compared to other Costco's. I've been here a few times and each visit, it has been crowded. Items are pretty much well stocked and the store is organized. Samples are passed out here and there. I haven't ordered at the food court but it is small and limited seating. Self-check out is available for the introverted people to the far right side of the check out area. And farther down are the restrooms. In front of the check out registers is the optometrist and the eye center. I was able to get an appointment pretty quickly and on a Saturday at 4pm. The optometrist was gentle and nice and it was a quick visit. I didn't need my eyes dilated but if I needed to, it would've been an extra $20. From what I can recall, the Fairfield and Vacaville eye exams were between $69-80 so $49 was a pretty good deal and that was without insurance. I was able to get my rx and order glasses somewhere else. The Costco is located close to Best Buy, Red Lobster and Habit burger and there's plenty of parking to choose from. I haven't had a chance to get gas here since it always looks crazy busy. Overall, I appreciate this Costco. Check them out, you might find some unique items! read more

I should start by saying that I love Costco. We shop there a lot and most Costco's are great but today, I needed to return a purchase. In this case, it was a complicated issue that I had and I went to a different area Costco to try to resolve the issue. When they declined to assist me, I went to the Costco in Vallejo where the customer service personnel investigated the issue, figured out what went wrong and took care of my issue with respect and humor! I cannot even say how impressed I was with the team in Vallejo and how I was treated during our interaction. Truly, Costco is second to none for its customers and my experience at the Vallejo Costco reinforces my good feelings about the company and their stellar employees! I visited the Vallejo, CA location when i was looking for the Pendelton Picnic Mat around the warehouse. I had asked the lady with eyeglasses and long black hair if she was available to help me. She said yes. I asked for her name and she said it was jacky. Instead of pointing to where the item would be she took the time to escort me to the product and told me good things about the item. I let her know i was thankful for her help, that everyone online was posting how popular it was and that they sell out fast at other locations. Im very happy with her customer service! This place is starting to get dirty around their area, specially the parking lot & mostly by pep's boys auto store and the back of tire center where we get air for tires...it's really nasty around that area. Now , inside the store at the cash registers employees treat customers like telling you what to do. You'll need to get educational customers classes. This is in most Costco stores. read more

Shout out to Costco! My senior dog is on his last leg. At 15 years old we stopped treatment of his pneumonia and have him on "supportive care." I rushed to Costco today to grab some items during lunch. I broke a bottle of wine and the team members immediately helped me, I even told the cashier at checkout thinking I should pay for it, she didn't charge me for the broken bottle. Loading the car I left my cell phone in the cart, didn't realize until I got home. I urgently went back because I can reach my vet via text during an emergency; a wonderful person turned it in to management. To Costco and to the person that found my phone, thank you for your small acts of kindness, my days and nights have been difficult with a sick dog, and you helped more than you know! I attempted to return a TV today, which I bought for Christmas at 170.00, and was damaged in the original box. A woman assisted me, and all was fine. Then, for some unknown reason, a Latino male worker involved himself in the transaction, took the TV out, plugged it in, and refused the return, because "the box was not damaged". I objected. People were watching and I did not want to make a scene, as the only black man in the situation. Then, a white male customer agreed with me, and the worker realized that he was subjecting me to customer service that was hostile and suspicious, rather than accommodating. I pointed out to the worker that he only changed his disposition on the transaction, after the white individual agreed with me. I left. I will never go to any Costco again. The male who spoke out knew, if it were him, returning a damaged TV, after Xmas, he would likely not have been subject to the same. So, Costco in Vallejo, where I have spent thousands since they claimed not to be Target, lost me for good. read more

What I love about this Costco is that there always aren't that many people even on the weekends compared to other Costcos I've gone to. There are usually just 2-3 people in each line in front of me. The products are all orderly placed and easy to find. The staff is also very hospitable and helpful. They take their time to help me find the product I need when I can't find it. However, sometimes I find opened packages of food and snack items in the aisles. The customers probably opened them to try it and the staff did not notice. The food court always has a long line but the electronic food ordering helps speeds things up. The Costco gas line is crazy. The customers drive recklessly to try to get in line. Even on weekdays, there is a long line out onto the street all day. read more

I think Vallejo Costco is really organized, efficient, and for the most part stocked. During the pandemic and holidays I feel like they take every precaution and so efficient with purchases and getting people in and out. They had altered their food court menus and set up self service kiosks and it is extremely fast. I think what makes Vallejo stand out compared to other Costco's is that they have their Chicken Bake available while other Costco's do not. read more

Specifically for the tire center. Today 7/4/2021 I had an appointment to get my tires rotated. I created this appointment two weeks ago, as it was the only day available for several weeks. I called to make sure they would be open, the tech said "any day that had appointment times available, we are open." Yesterday I received reminder/confirmation email and text, same with this morning. I arrived at Costco to see everything blocked off. Everything was closed. Why go out of your way to have appointments available, and then tell people over phone," yes we are open if times are available.".
