So one star down because that was a detail that mattered. But the cake and berries were pretty good. Specifically the cream between the cake was really good with the cake. The tres leches was not the typical sponge cake. another star down because the cake was late and that impacted my plans the rest of the day. An my party was getting ready to start they told me that it would be ready in 1 hour and they can deliver it to me for the inconvenience but we picked it up I paid 100 and something dollars for my cake very affordable. they took like $20 off that's it. I feel like the cake should have been free at that point. cake was very beautiful but cake was very dry and tasted horrible. I needed a birthday cake for my sister and I knew she wanted a very specific kind of cake, chocolate cake with raspberry, chocolate mousse, and buttercream frosting, she had lamented over the years about the fact that nobody uses real buttercream, well guess who uses real homemade buttercream? If you guessed this place then you would be correct! Not only was the cake gorgeous and exactly to the specifications I wanted but it was most importantly delicious! Coming from me that's saying something because I absolutely despise cake, everyone who knows me well knows to not offer me cake because my dislike of it is that legendary, however when they sliced the cake it looked so delicious that I figured I might as well have one tiny bite just for posterity and I was blown away, I probably could have eaten half of that cake by myself, give me a glass of milk and I probably could have put down the whole cake. The other thing that really impressed me was that I ordered it the day before and they had no problem having it ready the following day, I even found out that they don't normally have buttercream frosting and that the baker whipped up a batch just for me and my one little cake, now that is amazing Service as well, I can't say enough good things about this place! I ordered a cake for my sister's baby shower. The bottom layer was supposed to have a chevron style fondant design. I sent my husband to pick up the cake and when he brought it back I was horrified. I can't imagine why they would even send out a cake like this when it wasn't even finished. They didn't even say "hey, I'm sorry, we ran out of time", or anything like that. It was embarrassing that people saw it. That being said, the cake did taste great. When I contacted them to complain, he apologized and said that his helper had gotten sick. He offered to refund me $30. I appreciate the refund, although I feel I should have at least been refunded half of what I paid.
