I LOVE THIS ICE CREAM SHOP! This review is long overdue, and it's a long one. This shop is a warm welcoming neighborhood spot. Everyone working the counter is SO KIND! I love the staff, I love the selection, the chocolates are great, the ice cream is creamy, the caramel apples are fabulous. It's a step into the past in the best, most wonderful way. The shop itself is clean and well cared for, the bathroom is always clean and tidy. And really, seriously, the people who work there are so welcoming and kind and warm and I love coming in for a treat. This is a great place to spend your money, support this wonderful local business. Liled's is probably the best ice cream in the area. Usually I get their spumoni for Christmas, and go for a cone when I may need a treat. The ice cream is super creamy and flavorful and made in-house. The people working behind the counter are so friendly you can't help but smile. This is a real deal ice cream parlor that also has house-made chocolate. The last time I was there families were having fun enjoying their ice cream at one of the tables. There's something about small ice cream shops that makes my heart melt when I bring my kids inside. The place is pretty inconspicuous from the outside. The windows are painted over with pretty treats but from the outside you really can't see in. Walking in is like walking into a gingerbread house. Tons of treats everywhere. My kids enjoyed the atmosphere. The service was super friendly. The young man that was helping us was very patient with my kids and offered samples. My kids are picky but having this option was perfect for them to try things they've never had. I got the Dubai chocolate in a cup. Pricey but was good. You'd have to eat it once you get it because it's not that great after refrigerating it. I also picked up some chocolates for my husband. There is parking on the street outside of the store as well as down the side streets. We'll be back for sure! read more

I grew up coming to Liled's in Vallejo, and I always loved their handmade treats. I know the business has gone through different owners over the years, but on my most recent visit I was told they no longer make their ice cream in house. That was honestly my favorite part of Liled's. Their handmade ice cream was incredible, especially the dark chocolate flavor, which I still remember years later. I tried the ice cream they have now, and it just felt generic. It wasn't bad, but it didn't have anything that made it stand out. I also bought a few of the chocolates. I'm not sure if they're still made in house, so I don't want to assume they aren't, but they weren't as impressive as I remembered. On the other hand, the Dubai strawberry cup was absolutely amazing and is definitely something I'll be back for. One thing I really appreciated was that the store still looks very much the same as it did when I was a kid. It brought back a lot of great memories. My daughter enjoyed visiting, and the customer service was friendly and welcoming. I just wish they still made their own ice cream. It was what made Liled's so special to me. First time visiting this local ice cream shop, and I used to live in Vallejo for a long time, and I'm shocked that I never knew about this place!!! A friend told us that they sell the Dubai chocolate with strawberry, so I wanted to give it a try. As soon as you come in, the interior reminds me of an old-fashioned antique chocolate shop, and I love it!! They have a few tables and chairs to hang out on. Also have a lot of selections of candies, chocolates, and ice cream. I had to stop myself from buying all the goodies!!! The Dubai Chocolate with Strawberry was good, not too sweet, and having the strawberries complements the whole thing. I wish there were more chocolate, though. Always wanted to check them out and I'm so happy I did. I parked right out front to find a lovely showcasing of Valentines paintings on the windows. It was adorable. It's a small but cute shop that has chocolate candies and confections, ice cream (to eat at the store and take to go), banana splits, sugar free chocolates, and sour treats. I love their selection of goodies. They also had freeze dried candies and Swedish candy. They have a super cute seating area, a few tables and chairs, and a corner booth.
